Kia cars are great but Kia need better franchise dealers this one in Stevenage is appalling that is why it has terrible customer reviews

Bought a Kia ceed pro had a issue with a paint repair which should have been prior to delivery
It wasn’t and we had to sort it out! Ken brown did event pay after weeks of asking.
The bigger issue is the car did not get serviced
Prior to delivery so 5 months on we have just had it done at Kia knersborough at a cost of £300 worst thing is Advisory for 4 tires £600
This Kia Dealer is not preparing cars correctly
I contacted them prior to posting but as expected no reply

Bought a car from them around 14 months ago.

The engine management light came on after 2 months.

Since then they have had the car in and out half a dozen times. Every time after a few days the warning light comes back on. In total they have had my car for 4 months trying to fix the problem.

They have given me two options. Either keep bringing the car in or they will buy the car off me for second hand trade in price which according to the Parker guide means I could lose out on £5k of the £12.5k I paid for it. And that’s only if I buy another car from them.

I would be fine if they just swap the car for an equivalent but they rejected that.

We collected a hyunadi used car from Letchworth on 11th June and paid for a Ken Brown service plan for £582.50 and this dealership closed 22nd July. We have contacted Hyundai uk and they say the service plan is covered with other dealerships but its not and they want us to pay again. We have messaged Ken Brown
motors on the 8th August received a reply to say my question had been past to the relevant department, we have still not heard anything.

Purchased a used car from these guys back in the day, always had it serviced there. Bought a Kia Gt from a dealership in Manchester and of course continued having my services done at Potter St. These guys have had some dosh out of me over the years. It all went wrong the first time I asked them to replace my tyres at the same time my brakes needed replacing. I began to hear a knocking sound from the front of the car some time later that started to get worse. No other work was done by anyone else. Took it to them for a diagnostic, why wouldn't I? They tried to land me with a hefty bill for suspension parts, but told me it just needed to be sorted before the next MOT, wasn't unsafe. So I get my tyres changed at a local tyre fitters a few months later before the MOT is due with this additional cost for suspension on my mind. It transpires that my front wheel nuts were loose to the extent that some of them were gone! The guy at the fitters lost it and called them instantly, no answer. I called them to express my concerns and they pretty much called me a liar! Then tried to contact the Ops director at Stevenage...nothing. Then sent an email and someone called but never followed up. Then contacted Kia UK, they were OK but were quick to explain that KB are independent from them, not good enough. They contacted KB and still no response. Who's in charge there? Customer service is 0 after they've got your money if you have an issue. Didn't even acknowledge that perhaps sending me and my family out in a car with the wheels about to fall off after I paid them for a front end diagnostic and they told me that it was OK to drive might be a problem?. Thanks to your service manager's skills in telling me I'm in some way a liar and I MUST have had work done or tinkered with it myself. I would have been happy with my £100 back for the diagnostic at the start of this. Well done Ken Brown, totally failed a loyal customer. 👏 Just bought an MG EV.

What a great experience! I was worried about a time consuming and potentially costly job to fix an issue with my Kia Sportage. But Hina & Jack were able to come up with a swift and extremely economical solution. Couldn’t be more satisfied, great service!

Sold my car via motorway to KBM. All of it went seamlessly and as described. One minor issue with GDPR; Jason and ruby sorted that out in an email. Responsive and professional my experience was excellent.

Got my new EV9 delivered 2 weeks ago. Car was great but noticed after a day there was an issue with the washer for the windscreen as it was empty, after filling it up it just leaked. Spoke to Barry who was aware we were going on hoilday and arranged for it to be collected from me and had it fixed and brought back to me the same day (I live 70 Miles from the dealer) i was amazed the level of service they went to and kept all their promises to get it back in time for our hoilday and all fixed. Could not has for more!!!

Rude staff, unfinished work, no surprise it has gone into administration.

Like a dealership from only fools and horses. So far found out the MOT in Oct 2023 and the service had less miles than when I bought it in Feb 2024. A salesman told me it would have been in Kia’s compound since then and it must be human error. KIA said it was not an approved Kia used car the garage was lying. Tried calling someone using the driver assist and had a message the noise was so loud the driver assist was unable to help. I am hard of hearing so had not noticed. A neighbour knocked on my door to say my brakes had failed and smashed into his BMW. Off the road for a month because someone had hidden the wiring for an electrical tow bar socket under the rear bumper new parts required. All contents in the boot are missing, no jack, no spare wheel. Splits have appeared in the rear door where filler has been badly used to conceal a bad accident back in Oct 2023. Now the clutch has gone and it’s on its way back to Ken Browne. Unable to use the Kia breakdown service because it is not an approved Kia used car so no courtesy car. Over £18,000 wasted on this junk car. Do not trust this company. Offered a friend a lift and they said the noise is so loud it was giving them a headache, I dropped them off at the station to go home. What a rubbish car

The worst experience ever! I have booked my car for a recall but they called me back to rebook and made me wait for a month. When I came on the date, my car wasn’t in a system and they refused to do anything, just offered to book for another day. And I came all that way with a small baby but they just sent me home with no apology. A serviss where people don’t care and have no respect to their customers.

Great experience. Sal went above and beyond to help us find the right car and made the process seamless.

We dealt with Clint who was brilliant . He was patient , professional and knew a lot about the car .

Had my Kia serviced in Harlow. Brakes replaced on all 4 wheels 2 days later my brakes completely failed, recovered back to garage 7 days later advised the servo pump failed but not linked, Got my car back now Air Con not working and speakers distorted sound 😭

Would like to say a massive thank you to Nathan Humes @ Ken Brown, Stevenage, definitely a 5* Service. Nathan was very professional & kept me updated at all times with the progress of my new car, I am very pleased with the service & my new car. I would definitely deal with Nathan again. While I initially had a pleasant service, once I reported that my new car had a fault. It was downhill from there. I was treated as a nuisance. One of their customer service rep was rude, shouted and me and disparaged my prioritising my children. Said employee was not challenged, instead I was told that I was aggressive, to bring down the aggression and be ‘nicer’ to the man who had yelled and at me. Apparently, I was not courteous enough. I did not feel safe at the dealership and will never return. I didn’t notice any female employees the 4 times I went in and there is no question why.

They have a culture of silencing women while insinuating that bad male behaviour is acceptable because apparently ‘boys will be boys’. A culture that continues to perpetuate violence against women in all its forms. I do not recommend this dealership to any woman or allies.

Just ordered a new Kia Sportage from Ken Brown in Stevenage and I'm very pleased to say what a fantastic experience we had. We could not have been treated better. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We were so well looked after right through the process by Clint Louis, who had great knowledge of the vehicle we were interested in. He took the time to explain everything step by step to help us make our decision. We can't speak highly enough of him, and all at Ken Brown, Stevenage

Absolutely terrible service! From start to finish. In fact, we didn’t even finish. I removed my car from this garage as they are so incompetent, It was in for a repair for a clutch which was under warranty, booked in for 6 weeks, had a heavily pregnant partner. They booked in a repair for a date, took the car for two weeks when was meant to be a 2 day job. When we dropped the car, was told it can take 1 week, Called on the 10th day and asked for update, to which they said hadn’t even been approved or started. Martin the customer service guy absolute lier! Tried telling us head office hadn’t approved when 2 months prior he told us they did. Would never recommend this company in a million years, completely put me off KIA and would definitely never recommend!

Absolute shambles to every body working there! What a diabolical Buisness they have here DO NOT USE OR PURCHASE ANY VEICHLE FROM!

Honestly….just don’t.
I’ve yet to experience worse customer service than I have from Ken Brown.
It is actually amusing their Stevenage showroom. Reminds me of Del Boy and Rodney. It’s so amateur it’s actually funny.
Go buy your car elsewhere. Can’t warm people enough to stay away from this shoddy company

I have just taken delivery of a New Hyundai I10 N Line from Ken Brown in Richmond I would like to thank them and especially Rhys Last who was my contact throught the sale of the car and how easy and friendly he was also keeping me up to date with any developments and updates leading up to hand over really pleased with every aspect of the process I will certainly be recommending Ken Brown to all my friends and colleagues.
