Very rude and unhelpful

Unhygienic

The experience was excellent staff and manager could not do enough for my daughters Wedding they were excellent

My son has returned home traumatised after spending 3 nights in a room full of cockroaches, wasps and mosquitos. Him and his friends didn’t sleep for the whole 3 nights they were there. The food was also atrocious and the toilets were full of wasps so they were too afraid to go. How is this place still operational considering how it has breached multiple health and safety regulations and standards! £360 for this 💩

Kingswood was okay! Starting with the food! The food in my opinion was horrible my friends said it was mid and some just couldn’t eat any more! They even made a banana bad?!?! Anyways one of the workers named mo was really mean to me and my group I am a very petite girl for my age and when he came to us he started sneezing and we were like why u sneezing and he said he was allergic to small ppl then look at me? Like why does he have that job still? And he said we should use our brains and other stuff I won’t mention! The good is that the rooms are fine no insects like we had a candy salad and nothing came in? There are double showers with glass doors but it wasn’t that bad one thing I was confused about was the windows don’t close? The bed may have crumbs so just shake them off! The staff overall were nice! The activities were really fun we done soooooo much in one day! So that was my overall experience would recommend bring extra food in case and don’t interfere with mo 🤣 so thanks for reading this long review! I would go again just be more prepared! Oh and by the way don’t stay long this was only for 2 days 😂

The activities were so fun, we learnt new skills, worked as a team and the leaders were good. Some were moody but some were very nice, it was fun and we all became closer, food wasn’t the best but it’s better than some stuff

A great place to spend a few days with our pupils. Fantastic staff, great activities, pushing everyone to do something new and exciting. The food was great too. A brilliant experience!

The food was soggy, the rooms were dirty, full of mold and spiders, the beds contained bedbugs and we barely did any activities, our group asked to do the zip wire but we got told no because apparently our group was too ‘small’ we tried to skip meals the food was that vile, it doesn’t end there! There was a poo behind our toilet for ages causing it to reek and we got just about 2-3 hours of sleep due to the thin walls and people knocking on our doors at night, the staff are horrible me and my mate have adhd and anxiety and we both asked to leave campfire and go to the room to chill but we got a straight no, another thing they put marshmallows on sticks for us but they would take it off u once u we’re done and put MORE marshmallows on top of the gunk from ur last marshmallows and gave it to people they didn’t clean the sticks ONCE it was vile and disgusting.

The Team at Kingswood are amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They really went above and beyond.
The facilities were perfect for us to rehearse our school production.

My daughter Ava has just come back from the Christmas sleepover. She has had the best time, met new friends, done fun activities she wouldn’t usually do and made memories forever! Already wanting me to book Feb as well!! Thank you to all the staff Harley, Danielle, Joe, Pete, Ben & Bekki at Grosvenor Hal for creating fab memories xx

We held my son's birthday party here, and he and his friends had a great time. The activities were very well organised and the staff were very friendly and flexible to accommodate our requirements. A great time was had by all and I would definitely recommend Kingswood to anyone thinking about holding a party here. Many thanks.

From the moment the children arrived till when they left, they had the best time ever. The food, accommodation and activities were really good, and the children got on well with the instructors who were very patient!

Love Colomendy site. Picturesque location which provides a great breadth of activities. Activity instructors are attentive and personable giving a unique experience.

Talking to a real person at the Centre was really vital in planning a fantastic visit and selecting activities that we cannot replicate ourselves. Our Cubs and Scouts stretched and challenged themselves on all of the activities and had a lot of fun as did the adult leaders.
The food, accommodation and itinerary were excellent and met our needs as a Scout Group.
Grosvenor Hall is a gem and we are lucky that it is local to us and was great value.

Attended for a site visit, prior to leading a secondary school residential at Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire.
Steve, the site manager, was extremely friendly & proud of the Dearne Valley site.
Activities & accommodation look fantastic & location is excellent, situated near English Heritages' Conisbrough Castle.

The children absolutely LOVED Dukeshouse Wood! They tried all of the activities and encouraged each other. The range of activities meant that the children who disliked heights still had great fun. The dormitories were great as they were self-contained and included an en-suite meaning that the children had no reason to leave their room on a night (making the night shift a lot more manageable!!). The children were all able to be independent when making beds etc. Our favourite activity was the camp fire as we were all together and it felt like a real team vibe - a memory they will cherish forever! The instructors were knowledgeable and reassuring and enough time was allocated for activities so the children could go at their own pace! The cooks were lovely and accommodated for our “picky” students and our children all had full tummies (breakfast was their favourite!). Anne did a great job organising everything and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We have already booked to return next year!

Activities, Accommodation, Food, Staff, Instructors....all amazing!

Went to the Dukeshouse wood venue. The activities were boring, the venue itself was disgusting and like being stuck in prison, only the food is worse.

The centre itself was full of exciting and inviting activities for our year 6 children. Large playground and space for the children to be outside. However, what let it down for us was the overcrowding of schools to fit as many people in as possible making night times a challenge. 3 schools on a single corridor with children ranging from year 3-6 was a problem. Most of the staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the activities they were supervising. "Calum" was our favourite who couldn't do enough for us. Food was simply "ok" - no sign of the dessert option until we chased for 2 days. Dorms are pretty small and made keeping them tidy quite tricky with no storage. Children loved the activities but it's unlikely we will return again.
