Not worth doing at all. Push sale and hundred of different people are calling prior the course. Once you put deposit you can’t withdraw. Complete rip-off!! Avoid. Not for everyone as they say. Nobody contacted once I left the room after one morning. Someone supposed to call me in 20 minutes and there’s one month after and even one single call or text. Still waiting for response, no one from the organisers and coaches contact me yet. All is about money. Aneta B, UK.

i had an amazing experience with finding my apartment at landmark. the people in the leasing office are such nice genuine people.

It's a Cult, stay away. They play psychological head games to shame you if you don't want to sign up, and it's all sell, sell, sell. This company is taking advantage of people's vulnerabilities and brainwashing them.

Landmark Forum (and subsequently Landmark Advanced Course) have completely flipped my life around.

It has truly changed how I see myself in this world, greatly improved my relationships, and empowered me in ways I would never have believed was possible.

This is the best $795 I have event spent. A new world has opened up to me.

I have participated in Landmark programs for many years off & on. Most recently (in 2018) during a pretty severe depression I was encouraged to take the Landmark Advanced Course. It was a game-changer. I reDiscovered that I am not alone. I became reacquainted with the value of community, sharing, & the power of declaring that my life was worth living for what I could contribute to others. I clearly came to see that I had a say in how things would go. I learned to replace the word victim with leader. More importantly, I got that learning alone wouldn't be enough to sustain me. The actions I could & would take would be the measure of my success - in anything, but particularly in the realm of self-esteem, confidence, compassion, forgiveness, and getting "off" it.

I attended the recent Landmark Forum in San Francisco (which started on 11 November) and decided to leave at the end of the first day.

From David, our forum leader, I witnessed and experienced shame-based tutoring that crossed a line into abusive. The room was repeatedly told we were living a bad life and were wasting it. I was told I was a failure if I left or decided to question the agreement I had been asked to agree to without knowing what was about to ensue. I saw rudeness, insensitivity to participants who were deeply vulnerable, and, at points, straight-up emotional blackmail. Leaving meant I had "no integrity". It was extremely difficult to sit through.

Having said that, I can see how some people with low self-esteem will be shamed and controlled into learning some fairly basic principles which will improve their lives, but that certainly does not apply to me. So take this as a warning: if you’re in a bad place then this may work for you but it will not be easy like they make out. There are a lot better courses out there that use far more effective approaches to transformation that are based on compassion and love. I appreciate these can be cost-prohibitive for a lot of people.

Landmark needs to undergo some pretty serious transformation itself if it wants to keep up with an industry that has clearly outgrown its toxic behavior.

Landmark teaches some wonderful concepts. BUT, half the time they spend pressuring participants to call and recruit other people to attend a Landmark forum. The high pressure sales tactics just negate any positives. Personally I would rather pay more money and focus on the concepts rather than wasting my money on hearing how I should recruit more people into Landmark.

The Forum's impact on my life since 1986 is akin to the impact of having learned to read or do basic math. It's ongoingly useful. The program continues to make a positive impact on my marriage, my relationships, and my work. It's one of the best things I ever did for myself--the gift that keeps giving.

Wow! I just read through all the reviews, astounding! The ratings were either 5 stars or 1 stars...the people with the 5 star reviews did the work.
Landmark is not about fixing and changing anything in you. We are all whole perfect and complete. That was the first thing that became apparent after doing my first course. I am not broken! Hallelujah! If you are not willing to take a look at yourself, then do not do this course...it is life changing! Never did I ever think that I would say out in public that I love myself, it would have been disengenuious before doing the Landmark Forum! Not anymore! The best part now is, because I like the person I am, I can love others, unconditionally.

Really! The whole reason they ask you to call people in your life is not to tell them how great Landmark is, really, how would you know that's true? Its to get you back in touch with people you may have been out of touch with in your life!
I love these programs, but do beware, if you want to keep blaming others for your problems, don't do this program because you will walk away with POWER!

I first took a Landmark course (The Forum) in 2007. I have found that it made a profound difference in my life. I have participated ongoingly ever since.

I participated in these courses from age 8-30. Landmark severely let me down as a child, minimising abuse in my family and saying it was my fault. As a result I have had years of therapy with a psychologist to undo the unhelpful ways of thinking that Landmark advocates. While these courses have some useful things there are way more things that are detrimental and I would never subject any child to self development courses that have no basis in current psychology.

I have participated in most of the programs offered by Landmark, including the one called Staff. The company is not perfect - but they never claimed to be. But there is no doubt that there is a commitment to customer satisfaction. (There's at least one example in these reviews of a refund being offered). I would not continue to participate if I didn't continually find myself discovering new things. But that can be confronting for some - discovering something new about yourself that may not fit with your self-image, or the explanation you've created about yourself.

In the first program I did, I saw very vividly how -despite priding myself on being "open-minded" - quickly I gave in to judgements and assessments about others, often shutting people out of my life because I didn't like the way they looked or spoke. It shocked me - and had me see that my world was limited by my point of view. In addition, I hadn't taken time to determine what of that point of view was merely "going along with the crowd." From that ponit on my focus shifted from being just on me to the world around me.

Perhaps the single most powerful tool I came away with and use constantly is distinguishing between thinking and having thoughts. Thoughts come unbidden, frequently triggered solely by other thoughts, and rarely, if exposed to the light of day form any coherent basis for action. Thinking, on the other hand, is directed and linear. Now I know that merely having thoughts is like growing hair, and as I discover the source of any given thoughts, I can now shift from reacting to life to engaging with it.

Nothing I've studied or engaged with has allowed me the freedom to express myself that I now enjoy. I absolutely recommend this company and their programs.

I have been a fan of Landmark's programs for years. The personal development I've experience has been invaluable...I was able to heal my relationship with my mother before she passed away, I stopped limiting myself to jobs that were beneath my capabilities...I really can't imagine life without these programs.
Now that the company has changed its model and moved away from in-person programs to online offerings, I'm so impressed that the impact of the courses is not diminished. Clearly a lot of thought and hard work has gone into maintaining their track record for powerful customer experiences, and I'm grateful that I can now participate in these beneficial programs from my home!

I think they just conned me out of $800+. I haven't even attended yet and they seem to indicate they can control every aspect of my life. Will be reporting to consumer protection. Has anyone here had experience reporting them?

A cult. They do about 9 out of 10 things that cults do.

Sadly, they have some good points. And if they weren't so focused on getting more members and money, there might be some redeeming qualities.

Manipolano le tue esperienze, la gente che ha perso familiari e subito traumi, viene fatta sentire in colpa. Secondo loro, sei tu colpevole di tutto ciò che ti succede, e distorcono i fatti. Molto pericoloso per chi ha davvero dei problemi che andrebbero risolti da uno specialista, e non da una persona che ti fa il lavaggio del cervello per 13 ore al giorno per 3 giorni. Due brevi pause per mangiare e durante il corso non puoi fare niente. Ci sono 100 persone ed è una fortuna se ti danno la possibilità di dire qualcosa, parla solo lui. Io ovviamente sono uscita dopo il primo giorno,e sono stata assalita da decine di telefonate e messaggi intimidatori da diversi adepti del forum per farmi rientrare. Se non è questa una setta… il primo giorno ti parlano per un ora solo per farti invitare altre persone. Vanno fermati!!! Molte persone influenzabili verranno manomesse.

Don’t waste your money go to a professional counsellor if you are needing support about 100 half wits all on zoom talking about their issues ‘ being in the now” ….” How we can all live a miraculous life no restraints “

I asked for a refund because I was not able to participate in it. And they made a refund

Mind games, guilt tactics and pure obvious brain washing. With the constant overbearing goal to demand all involved find more victims. Plus as the convincing you don't know yourself tactic continues the cost of courses sky rockets. I hear France has labeled it a cult and banned it. Imagine an entire western world country. Better compared to what took place in WWII by using slick speakers to get you to go along with an agenda not of your own. Signing a contract, thing you when not to eat or drink, worse giving you homework assignments to take up personal sleep time. Disgusting and needs to be banned worldwide.
