If I could give zero stars then I would have. Easily the poorest major airline and best avoided if at all possible.
Totally unorganised, disinterested and confusing in so many ways.

No care for child allergies
We have a flight from LHR to GRU and we tried to request a special meal for our 3-year-old daughter via chat, as she has allergies to milk protein and soy. The agent simply informed us that they couldn't do anything about it. I then asked if there wasn't a solution, considering it's a 12-hour flight and the child won't have anything to eat. Again, the agent said they couldn't do anything about it. This was the first time an airline has responded to me in this way, with such disregard for a child's allergy. All the airlines I've flown with have provided a solution, with some options for the child, even on transatlantic flights like this one.

Volo Annullato e non risarcito
Volo diretto Salvador - Rio de Janeiro del 20 Oct 11.50 am , cancellato 6 ore prima della partenza, mi propongo come alternativa un volo con scalo a San Paolo che arriva a Rio con 8 ore di ritardo. Mi cerco da solo un volo alternativo, sempre con Latam, e trovo un volo, sempre con scalo a San Paolo che arriva con 2 ore di ritardo rispetto all'origine. Prima domanda: perche non me l'hanno proposto loro? arrivando con 2 ore di ritardo non posso chiedere il rimborso, lo faccio notare al servizio clienti di Latam, i quali mi rispondono che non ho diritto a nessun risarcimento pewrche sono arrivato con due ore di ritardo. Da precisare che avevo scelto LATAM perche aveva il volo diretto anche se ho speso il doppio rispetto al volo con scalo. Da evitare anche perche ho scoperto che il volo era stato annullato perche non aveva il numero di passeggeri sufficienti (!)
Extremely disappointing experience with LATAM
I traveled with my cat on LATAM from Bogotá to MedellÃn using a carrier that met all of their published requirements (size, material, ventilation). I had previously used the same carrier on LATAM flights without issue.
However, this time, an employee denied me boarding because the carrier did not look exactly like the sample photo on LATAMâs website. The rules only state requirements for dimensions and materials - not appearance. Despite this, I was forced to purchase an overpriced replacement carrier from LATAMâs airport shop in order to continue my trip.
This was arbitrary, costly, and unfair treatment. I will not be using LATAM again, and I strongly caution other pet owners: even if you follow LATAMâs stated requirements, you may still face unexpected rejection at the gate.
Pathetic airline
Pathetic airline. Horrible staff who extort customers through threatening behaviour at the gate. I was charged $99 USD for having a small duty free shopping bag which they told me was in excess of my baggage allowance. They then threatened to lock me out of the plane at the gate if I immediately didn't pay it to them, without any reasoning or consideration for the situation. Fly ANY other airline in South America who deserve your business. The management team there need to review their policies and how they treat their passengers.

They lost my bag and cant give any money back, even when i tolt them i need the medication in there to survive they told me they want look for it again, cant give me any compensation for anything in there(including a brand new camera bought for my travel to brazil) after almost 3 weeks no information about my lugage
LATAM Refused to Fix a Simple Name Error
LATAM refused to correct a very small typo in my name (an extra "A") on my ticket. They kept giving me the same automated answer:"talk to the agency", even though eDreams agency showed proof that LATAM had already refused to help. On the phone, their agents only repeated one sentence, refused to let me speak with a supervisor, and offered me no real assistance. Very poor service - I am now escalating this case with the Austrian Agency for Passenger Rights.

Their Website is Purposely Designed to Confuse You
I had to change my tickets for family reasons and did the process online. I followed their instructions to the letter, which told me to look for the exact same route (same airports and times) as my original ticket and that if the 23kgs bags I purchased weren't moved with the changes, they would refund me them. Their website then gave me 12 options of flights, but I was told to look for the route. I found the exact route, paid for the changes. My bags weren't added to my new ticket. Days when by, so I complained. They told me I made a mistake online and booked the wrong tickets and they wouldn't add my bags to my ticket, I would have to pay for them again. So I asked to put a formal complaint in. They didn't even bother to acknowledge my complaint. When I called them to ask about a response they answer was "what for? The answer won't change." They are not part of the ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) in the UK and the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) has limited power over them, so basically there is nobody you could escalate this to. So now I have to pay £68 for bags I had already paid for on top of the £235 I already paid to change my flights, or leave my stuff in the UK. I will never fly with them again.

Viajé en septiembre a Mexico usando Latam y pude constatar lo que he dicho.
Jamás reclamaré de usar latam y lo haré siempre que sea posible, para mi, de lejos la mejor aerolÃnea en Americas.
Y el servicio de mensajerÃa en facebook siempre me ha servido, me ayudan mucho desde esta plataforma, ojalá no la eliminen.

totally bad experience
totally bad experience: hit a totally fake low price for an Italy to Brazil ticket which to us aim to attract users for a finally higher average airfare then others: we ended up getting a much cheaper (and with super conditions: e.g. change of date included) ticket with AirFrance but here the details:
1. skyscanner and google flight both wrongly suggest LaTam as the cheapest for a round trip Venice, Belo Horizonte so we arrive on their website... the cheap deal is not just reported by those scanners, but we get it at the exactly same price getting to latam with links provided, so... nothing to complain to scanners: but... yes, but: once you try to purchase that ticket in Latam, this goes sistematically wrong: so yes, as a lazy move (which fortunately did not work) the *wrong* message: latam is the cheapest, gets into our head, so we do try to purchase a much higher ticket, fill up the data and pay: what happens? the money goes out from our bank but the ticket is not issued: the website tells us clearly that the ticket is not issued: ok, no panic, we know it can happen but the credit card limit is over and we need to wait the refund: it arrives 3 days later so we can try it again (we did it today). By the way, we could not buy the ticket if seats were selected, so we did arrive at the end just by skipping seat choice (so, latam, your purchase app is really not OK): anyhow as I wrote ticket was not issued and money freezed for 3 days.
So we arrive to today: another 4 hours (!) dedicated to get a ticket: we hit the same *fake* low price in the scanners (I have screenshots!) but, once again, the price in scanner is *exacly* what we see in official latam website but... we cannot purchase it: a lot of sistematic error message: we enter the data, but the message says: data in not correct... we try everything, even allowing them and their affiliate to send us marketing communications but... nothing... we cannot even arrive to the checkout page: what should we do? Let's call them: the italian official sale phone does not work (good lord!), we call Brasil: the automatic system is broken: no way to get an English speaking.. we try with Portuguese: the first operator listen, ask data, tell us: please hold and hang up after over 10 minutes. The second one: it just purpose as a ticket which is about 400⬠more expensive: no thanks!
So, we go back to our search: we try to register and add our data in LaTam website: please ... be aware that they are NOT privacy GDPR compliant! I will report it to the Italian authority! we added our data, credit card included, but the purchase once again did not work, so we tried to delete our account: NO way to do it! we could remove our credit card, but our data is still there and we have no idea on how to remove it: there are no privacy options in the settings: it is exactly the old ante-gdpr website.
We were almost going to spend those 400⬠more and get the ticket from them when, even if pretty tired, we said: no, we cannot trust somebody doing this: if in Italy a little shop try to play this game with fake announcement just to have people enter the shop, they would be fined right away... so, no, Latam, we do not want to reward such a bad attitude!
So, we did more price scanning.... we tried tap (too expensive) then KLM... oh... great ! bit the flight is AirFrance.. so let's go to AirFrance: oh... wowowoowo.. we got a great deal, cheaper the Latam but, most of all, with free change of date!!!
Of course AirFrance website worked greatly... very good (one drawback is airfare conditions: in a pop with js that makes it pretty hard to print out conditions): we hit pay, and paid: job done!
We'll update this post once we are able to remove our data from Latam website.
Add to the above that I am myself a web developer, so I believe I am able to spot temporary errors vs systematic errors.
