I approached a few local solicitors who were either not interested or were higher than what I expected to be a simple mortgage. It was. I’d asked AI to break down what I was being charged in their quotes. Work that wasn’t needed and over priced for a basic process. I learned what was an additional, un-needed service.
I contacted Blacks for a price.
Transparent and clear with no fluff or extra padding.
Ross McIntyre was the conveyancer and it was all done and dusted in 2 weeks.
The least stressful mortgage I’ve ever had. I’ll use Blacks again when I do move house.

I used Blacks Solicitors to purchase my first property and I had a wonderful experience. My brother-in-law, whom I trust recommended Paul Firth so he was my conveyancer. As a first time buyer, clear and consistent communication was needed and Paul provided prompt response to my queries. He was professional, responsive and thorough. I am begrudgingly writing this review ;). But they deserve one. Blacks are by far the best conveyancer that I have used. I have now bought at 5 properties using them. Liam and his team are excellent. They are extremely efficient and work hard. If only their counterparts - the seller's solicitors could be as good. However Blacks are very good and chase up the other party even when they are unresponsive.

Having applied for a remortgage I found out my chosen solicitor wasn’t on the mortgage company so I chose to go with Blacks. From beginning to end Rebecca and Ella was amazing, so much so that I’ll be using them all of the conveyancing matter going forward.

Very good solicitor got my house keys within 2 months definitely using them again
