Although we are still in the process of dealing with my issues, I feel very confident in that advice and actions that level one law is doing on my behalf. I enrolled in the debt renegotiation plan with Level One Law back in April 23. After my wife's passing from cancer 4 years ago, I had been doing nothing but paying on her medical bills that were left with me. Paying credit card debt (which we accumulated during her Chemo and Radiation) was secondary and at best, I could barely manage the minimum payments. On top of that, I had already retired and moved to a "fixed income". Creditors do not care how you got there, they only care about monthly payments.
I received a mailer from Patriot Funding and was at my wits end, so I called. I knew fully well that I was not going to get a debt consolidation loan from anyone (which was the case) and I was referred to Level One.
After talking with a counselor and an attorney (local), my monthly expenses were reviewed and a monthly amount was set to auto pay into an independent holding account. Level One enrolled my total debt and based on their previous experience calculated what my renegotiated debt would be. The first six months are tough as creditors will throw absolutely everything they have at you, but once you reach the first renegotiation (typically 5 to 7 months) things become so much easier. Level One does all of the hard work for you and in a little over 4 years, I'll be debt free. Enrolling in this program will tank your credit score, but chances are it was already tanking when you enroll.
This is a very viable alternative to staying away from bankruptcy and getting back on the road to financial well being. I would definitely recommend Level One, their program and their years of experience.
