Customer Service and Software is great!

Lucid Press not only offers a great software for creating standout essays, but their customer service is also very understanding. I had a stressful experience when they charged me for a free trial when I cancelled my subscription on the same day. However, these people were understanding and gave me a full refund. Check them out!

Free trial - but I still have to pay?!

The program was easy to use and helpful. However I canceled my free trial, before it ended, and now they say they are going to charge me. I feel a bit scammed.

Started a new trial but cancelled within the trial period and still charged a$120 subscription fee! Not to mention the only document I made would not load, so this account was pointless! Awful.

Terrible support

I don't think their support team ever follow up on any issues that is brought up to them. My company has been using them for a few years and each "update" seems to take away a feature. It's frustrating to have to change your ways each time. Also, it can freeze up if there is another user in your document.

We'd especially like to make sure you can collaborate with more than one user on a document. Having the document freeze should definitely not happen! There are a couple things we can check to make that better.

Personal Experience

The subscription option obviously allows more access; I found the platforms straight forward & have used other LUCID products which were especially compatible with the MAC.

I finished some work & knew I wouldn't be needing LUCID for about 6 months so did not renew however money was debited from my account. I contacted their billing team & after investigation I will receive a refund.

I will return to LUCID & recommend them based on my personnel experience.

DON'T USE THIS WEBSITE!

I am a student who is currently in school and I want to warn anyone who uses this app. 5 hours into my work I was told that it had to many pages attached and I would have to go on a free trial to be able to have the current amount of pages. I deleted three pages and it still wasn't enough, then for curiosity I deleted all pages accept 1 and it still said there was too many. (If you don't have the "free" trail you cant claim/ download your work).In result of this I missed my deadline and all my marks went down. This website is a SCAM! Its not a free trail if it requires your credit card info.

Skip this company and try one with a conscience~

Unfortunately I fell prey to a company that lures you to try do a trial of their product and then makes it very difficult or impossible to cancel or get a refund. Skip this company and try one with a conscience.

Great product for collaborative publishing!

I used Lucidpress for the past 3 years to create my garden club yearbook and other documents. Before using Lucidpress I had struggled with Word (where pictures did not print where placed) and with a team effort on Google docs which was even worse. Switching to Lucidpress allowed it be a real team effort, sharing the work so that I could actually get into my garden rather than spending too many hours creating a 60-70 page document. I found Lucidpress to be very reliable - only having rare instances of not working. I have moved on from this job and am sorry that my successor is returning to doing this as a one-person production. I would gladly use Lucidpress again if involved in a project that requires its features.

Awesome product - when it works

Awesome product, especially for the price, but it's biggest fault is that it constantly crashes or 'hangs' meaning that creating a simple document takes 5 x as long as you wanted to spend.
This loss of time is a huge factor and cost in terms of deliverability.
Despite reporting it multiple times, Lucidpress have said it's not on their priority list to fix.

I have some good news! I've looked through your email responses with our support team and a bug was filed with our engineering team. It sounds like the slowness could be a result from having several tables in a document or including page numbers in the header or footer. Do you know if your documents included any tables or elements in the header or footer? If so, your document speed can dramatically improve! We'll send out an email to follow up and see if we can get your document load times to increase.

This software needs work

This software needs work. Changing the language is a pain, spell-checking hardly ever works, and the website is poorly made. It sometimes takes at least ten clicks to select a textbox, and text often disappears randomly. Very difficult to add images. I do not recommend this software.

CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR BANK DETAILS

I signed up to the $9.99 a month service, but have been charged much more. After checking my account I had been charged $42, $50 and $50 over the last 3 months because I am signed up to a team account. I never signed up to the team account and I specifically signed up to the $9.99 service. Despite not having used the team service and not having signed up for it, the company are refusing to give me a refund for the overcharged amount. SCAM - stay away and do not give them your bank details.

Good features and fairly easy to us to create professional documents

I found Lucidpress easy to use and quite intuitive. I only needed one document and it took me a while to complete, but that was partly from the number of proofreadings and changes I made. The initial document did not take long, which came from finding Lucidpress fairly easy to use. You have to provide your own photos, so if they could partner with a free photos website, that would be very helpful.

However, I would highly recommend it for professional documents you want to create and get printed.

Will actually take away controls the longer you work on it.

The company tells itself that it is making money off companies who use their services but really they promise the world lure in bottom level admins under intense pressure to get something done on nothing with nothing then in the last hour take away all the controls and don't let them do anything with it. So really its the bottom level admins in a panic who end up paying because they know their boss won't approve the purchase.
