Our experience with Maersk has been extremely disappointing. Over the years, the quality of service has declined significantly. The online chat support is ineffective—they frequently direct customers to email channels where responses are delayed for days, if at all. The phone services have started doing the same…. Soon they wont even attend to customers and it will all be AI…. Imagine how horrible the service will be then.
Since the company eliminated local sales representatives several years ago, resolving issues with people who have common sense and knowledge issues and that you can reason with things have been horrible & it has become increasingly difficult to secure space on their vessels or receive accurate rate information without excessive delays. It raises serious concerns about the company's ability to meet the needs of its customers.
Additionally, we’ve encountered repeated instances of being billed for charges that appear invalid or unjustified. When these are disputed, the explanations provided often are just automated responses and you have to dispute it 100 times to get it resolved properly. We've also experienced bookings being rolled under questionable justifications, such as missing False ”mandatory information” Ex. Fax numbers or Tax items/ Emails things that are NOT in fact mandatory—despite our 15+ years of experience and familiarity with documentation requirements across multiple carriers there staff has no care for customer service and prefer to damage there clients.
Compared to other major carriers we work with, Maersk’s customer service, operational transparency, and accountability fall far far short. We strongly advise others in the industry to Avoid and consider other options when considering Maersk as a logistics partner.
Fancy demurrage? Go for Maersk.
Do you prefer slow communication, no response, non-relevant questions, which you will answer within an hour but they will reply back in a day, absolutely no client-focused approach and simply do-not-care philosophy? In the meantime, you would be looking at days of demurrage? Then go for Maersk, you won't be let down. They might be worst within logistics. Tuktuk drivers can probably bring your container more efficiently and with better customer satisfaction. Needs serious change in the company.

I would have hoped that a company like Sam’s wholesale would use a reputable company, but, not so . They give you a date I stayed home from work and no show ,also impossible to track a complete disaster that make Sam’s look horrible!!!

YOUR CONTAINER WILL CHANGE ETA AS YOU CHANGE YOUR SOCKS, AND IF DELAYED THEY NEVER SAY SORRY, BUT THEY WILL MAKE SURE THEY WILL SEND CHARGES TO YOU FOR ANY DELAY. THEY WANT YOUR TERITORIAL CUSTOMS TO CHECK THEIR WEBPAGE FOR MANIFEST OR SEAL CHANGES. NEVER IN THE WORLD A COMMISIONER OF CUSTOMS WILL ENTER EACH FORWARD'S WEBSITE TO CHECK CHANGES OF maersk. YOU AND YOUR SYSTEM NEVER WORKS SHARP, YOU MAKE AN ORDER FOR TRANSPORT ON 21, ON 25 THE SHIP ARRIVES IN PORT AND ON 29 THEY DIDNT ASSIGNED A CAR PLATE NUMBER AND YOU CANNOT DO THE TRANSIT IN TIME, BEING PREESED BY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES. Unprofessional and does not respect your time
Schedule an appointment for pickup a week ahead of time, i left my number and communicated that I will take off a day from work to wait for them. OI then received a confirmation email saying no additional action is needed. On the day of the pickup, I received a call from the company to confirm the appointment, and the message was "We are calling to confirm, please call us back and use your reference number..." The message was incomplete and she hung up before providing me with the complete confirmation number.
I called them them 9 times over the course of several hours and they finally picked up the phone only to have her tell me that they had called to rescheduled, I knew immediately that they were lying.
They wanted to reschedule for another weekday but that is not possible because I do not have the luxury of taking another day off of work. They showed no remorse and hung up on me.
You can see why this is an extremely frustrating experience when a company set up a system yet fails to adhere to it. When you plan around that commitment, it is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful for them to disregard your time.

My container departed Antwerp port to Takoradi on the 29th of April and was expected to arrive on the 8th of June. I bought a ticket to ghana based on their ETA but had to return back to Europe because the ETA kept changing from 8,22,29th June to July 13,14, 17,18th July to now 6th September 2025. I had to pay for €245 detention charges because based on their ETA of 13th July. I needed 7 days extra since my next flight to ghana was on the 28th of July only to and was arriving on the 13th of July. To my surprise i received the news the ETA has been changed to 6th of September 2025. All my investments sits elsewhere and client have decided to look elsewhere. Maersk line NEVER AGAIN!

This has been one of the worst…
This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company.
Their customer service is awful, and their communication is completely unprofessional. I waited for days for my delivery, and when they finally came, they left without even attempting to hand it over.
To make things worse, they falsely marked it as a delivery attempt and even changed the timestamp to cover up their failure. This is dishonest and unacceptable.
The representatives I dealt with were rude, disrespectful, and clearly had no regard for the customer.
They claimed they would return tomorrow to deliver, and I really hope they do — but at this point, I have zero trust in this company.
Absolutely disappointing and unprofessional service. I do not recommend Maersk to anyone.

Zero stars is too many. This company is TERRIBLE to work with! I had a freezer delivered and the drivers damaged my walls and tore a chunk of my trim board off. The claim has been open for months and I cannot get anyone to call me back. It’s so disappointing.

Maersk Ireland are embarrassingly incompetent. I have been trying to clear a container for the last few days at Dublin port . They are worse than useless to deal with .
Perfect service, Professional Driver
Ordered a Genny from Sams Club and it was delivered by a Maersk Driver. It was a perfect experience. Item arrived on time with regular necessary updates of the shipment. Joe Medina was the driver.
Abysmal Service
Last shipment they canceled my container delivery, then sent me charges for having to hold the container.
my new delivery, they have not told me when it arrived, changed all of their online portal making everything difficult to find. they also failed to advise me my container arrived so i can book delivery. this has resulted in around £500 in holding charges!!!
Chose Maersk when setting up as they are one of the largest companies, their service is abysmal.

The delivery people were great, Maersk was not.
The delivery people who brought our dryer were great, but the company's ability to make a schedule or arrive on time was awful.
The first delivery (#15 on the schedule) had to be rescheduled because after remaining at home for most of the day, our grandson needed to be picked up from school. My husband offered to return home immediately, but that was unacceptable for the delivery. We were forced to reschedule.
The next delivery was also #15 on the schedule. Again we remained available all day. Towards dinner time the delivery was rescheduled for later in the evening when a problem arose. Not long after the scheduler moved our appointment for a later hour, we were called again and told that our delivery was canceled.
I had thought our delivery would come the next day, but lo and behold, we waited at home for nothing. Then we learned that our delivery would be #17 on the list the next day. Another day wasted.
During that day, the delivery was rescheduled and arrived around 8 PM.
The people I spoke to said there was nothing I could do. I was forced to adhere to your ridiculous scheduling. You do not employ enough people to endure the schedule you set up. The entire delivery could be canceled by the slightest issue. I was not permitted to speak to anyone beyond the first contact. We bought our dryer on a Monday and we're assured a Tuesday delivery. Because of the company's incompetence we ended up sitting around for days until the dryer arrived around 8PM on Saturday. That is ridiculous.
The delivery men, Adam and José, wer very quick and cordial. The delivery company was not.

Never ever have I had a company that just dumped in driveway soo I could not back up! I called to address this, they came back and slid it on my new grass! Always all deliveries are put on front porch!!! This company needs to hire someone who can do the job right!!!
