As with all the other Negative reviews it all started really well.

£250 first ever order was placed, conformation emails received with delivery dates on.

Lots (too many) of emails received explaining the process.

Then delivery, on time, packed well and very chilled.
Part of the order were 2 Premium Steak boxes, this is where it starts going wrong!
In fairness one box was great, we split the vac packs to store the steaks in 2’s, the filets were a very mixed size but looked ok.
When we got the second box the filets looked horrible, as serious meat eaters we all know filet steaks are the leanest of all but these were absolutely riddled with marbled fat, had they been rump or even sirloin I could have lived with them.

Anyway I took pictures of them before we unpacked them, we then packed in 2’s and stored them.

The same day I messaged and sent pictures to Malpas Farms “office” to register my disappointment expecting them to say sorry here’s a discount voucher off your next order which would have been fine but that’s not what happened!

Some days later we got emails saying that they would arrange to collect the filets and if their butcher agreed that they were not to their specifications then they would be replaced.
Now by now we frozen them down in 2’s but so my wife didn’t get a fatty one we packed one good one and one fatty one.
So I explained that we had done this and as we had shared the order with my son so some steaks were at his house but they weren’t really interested, saying I would “only” need to partially defrost all of them and then return the fatty ones.

By now we’d cooked some of the sirloins from the steak box, very mixed sizes and some were very poor cuts of meat.

Having discussed the situation with my wife and son we all agreed it was too much hassle to return them so I contacted Malpas Farms “office” again saying how disappointed I was with their solution and that I’d keep what we had but not be ordering off them again but I would leave a review with pictures to show what other customers might be exposed to in both quality and service to which we’ve had no reply after 10 days so I’m doing my review.

To be fair the rest of the steak quality was on par with most supermarkets but at twice the cost!

I’ll stick to my local farm butcher going forward, just thought I’d have a change, shame they can’t deal with simple situations.

Gammon Steaks and ham hocks are great value. Chicken escalopes also top notch. Everything thing is delivered ice cold and fresh.

Purchased various items at different times been very pleased .The steaks and joints are very good and excellent value
Will not purchase bacon in hurry as too thinly sliced for my liking

I ordered a 35oz Tomahawk Steak from Malpas. Honestly one of the best pieces of meat i have ever had. Juicy and tender. I will certainly be ordering more from these guys

I am a widower and pensioner,I tend to buy for batch cooking and have for several years now. I look for value,quality,flavour I get all these from malpas farm! Also excellent service and delivery! There is only one way you can complain about their goods is if you the chef mess it up! Boon appetite.

After visiting Malpus Farm Shop and leaving with a fine selection of tasty meat and poultry, I decided to place my first online order. From the moment I placed my order until the minute it arrived, I was kept informed of its progress. It arrived promptly and was both chilled and well-packed. I would not hesitate to recommend a visit in person or to place an online order.

Very impressed with my order. 5 Goliath steaks. Plus a sizzler steak pack. I was given a 35oz short bone steak by my dad couple weeks ago. Seared all edges for 2 mins on each size. Then wrapped in foil and put in the oven for 15mins at 180. It was rare and beautiful. Only downside I had to share it with the mrs. So to avoid that happening again I ordered 5 off them.
The order arrived within 2 days well packed and chilled.

Found Malpas farm shop while searching to replace supermarket steaks. Glad I did. So much better. Ordered the carnivior delight steaks. Omg so good. About to order some more. Great taste and quality. Love them. Glad I found this place

The steaks were some of the best we’ve ever had

Great service great food and great price I would thoroughly recommend them if anyone is looking for excellent quality food and great prices

Although the food is good, can’t say it’s not, the problem lies with the packing delivery and the deals they run.
The first offer was if spend xyz (can’t remember the amount), your get 4 cheese and ham parcels, I really wanted to try them as the chicken parcels were awesome, it says you don’t need to do anything as the butcher will include in your order, order arrives no cheese and ham parcels.

Next order, I spent £85/£88 doing order late at night, woke up in morning to an email to say spend £100 get 4 steaks free. I messaged to say add an extra item that I had already ordered some (game mix @ £15) to take my order over £100, the said they couldn’t do that, so said ok, cancel my order and I re do the order adding the extra game mix, never heard back from them at all and they sent
out the £85 order, of which the pork chops was the incorrect chops.
So, though the food good, the service is lacking.
I did ask them if these offers were even actually available as always seems to be an issue getting them.

I was disappointed in the process.

Great delivery always thick juicy steaks.

Having looked at various supermarkets meat prices we decided to get some meat online. Looked at several options and decided on Malpas Farm.
Easy to order great communication and delivery spot on.
We ordered Ribeyes and they are as good as any I have ever eaten.
We shall definitely be ordering with them again.
