Natalie has been doing my accounts for the past couple of years. She is absolutely brilliant. She is efficient both in communication and assisting with completion of my tax return. I honestly could not fault her.

Have now moved accountants as their level service and competency was staggeringly low. As I had paid for my year accounts across the last FY, I was told they were under review in May. Chased several times but were still late and have missed the deadline.
Retrospective tax return was supposed to be submitted back in April ... surprise, surprise HMRC havent received it.
A complete clusterf%8& of an operation, not properly licenced or skilled in the world of accoutancy.
Be wary of these false reviews stating how good they are .....

*UPDATE to Mazuma response:

I submitted envelopes on a quarterly basis, in line with the VAT returns to HMRC. You had all my year end information in September 2024, it shouldnt take over 9 x months to compile the Year End accounts, especially as you told me they had been completed in May and were under review.

There wasnt a delay to my 23/24 accounts because I got another practice to draft and submit them!! knowing your incompetence, delays and general unproffesional service - I took a gamble of paying someone else to do it ... and guess what, my hunch paid off.

Please do not 'gas light' me or falsify information for the sake of the review site. 2 x Self Assessment tax returns were submitted for which penalties were incurred, am happy to share the email correspondance for the avoidance of doubt.

The mind boggles if you think you've acted proffesionally and transparent, I have the audit trails which would prove otherwise.

I provided my UK bank account details for a refund, but I have not yet received the funds. I sent the details six days ago, Could you please confirm the expected date for the refund to be credited to my account?

Mazuma Accountants was the most expensive option among the companies I researched. Nevertheless, after speaking with several other firms, I found Holly’s knowledge and assistance to be unparalleled.

Her support and knowledge convinced me to give Mazuma a try. I hope that Mazuma can live up to the high standard set by Holly.

I never write bad reviews, but I am making an exception for Mazuma because no other methods of communication seem to be working, and honestly because I feel like I need to warn people who consider using their services.

I’ve been using Mazuma since 2021, so I have been really patient so far. The main problem is that accountants make a ton of mistakes in my fairly easy accounts. I do have some USD to GBP conversion and websites commissions to take care of, but that’s no rocket science. I have to check every single ledger they are sending in, and I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of months where I didn’t have to make any corrections.

On some occasions I have received ledgers with random numbers, in some tax returns my turnover was calculated as "0", and my latest tax year accounts are missing sales from April, May, June. And that's just to name a few and not to mention the currency conversion and website commission nightmare.

Another problem is that accountants in Mazuma change very frequently. When an accountant finally sends me a ledger without mistakes, they leave Mazuma, I am assigned to someone else, and the process repeats itself.

They keep the tax return submission to the very last minute, and considering the number of mistakes they are making, it is quite stressful. Switching to another company.

UPD: I confirm I was contacted by a member from the complaints escalation team, and will keep this review updated.

UPD2: They corrected the mistakes in my accounts and submitted my tax return after escalation. I cancelled my subscription. They didn’t charge me for the months they were working on correcting and submitting last year’s tax return and waived the July’s subscription payment, which was a nice gesture from the escalation team. But they didn’t refund the money for April-June as Mazuma is a subscription service, even though no bookkeeping was done for these months. I moved on to another company.

Great payroll support. Alison, Jessica and Simon always provide a first class service and their responses are always timely and helpful.

honestly!!!!the worse accountants ever!!!!!!!!!

ive been with ythem for 5 years, and there are endless submission dates they missed,
right now my accounts havent been filed despite giving them all the information they required 7 weeks ago.
now im getting fines from hmrc and they still cant tell me when they will get it done.

on top of this i try and send them emails and they are bouncing back? theyve said they wil sort this with their IT department and again still nothing.
the stress and financial issues its putting my business under is unacceptable.!!

i would recommend strongly that you search for another accountant ant.
