Consistently confusing. This supposed company does not seem to know what it is covering me for. Are they as it seems scammers and con-artists?
Why on earth do we have to provide justifications for our genuinely meant reviews? Anything to escape criticism, eh?

Mcafee is WORST than any virus! It changes (without your permission) my search engine on worthles Yahoo all the time and it took me a lot of time to figure out why it happening. AND - it doesn't allow you to completely remove it from your computer without special tool!

Antes era super facil y super seguro ingresar una tarjeta de prepago porque no me gusta usar mi tarjeta de credito. AHORA es un SUPLICIO un verdadero viacrucis. No importa que ya hayas pagado tu subscripcion por 1 año... para que te la active y tengas protegidos tus equipos, a fuerzas tienes que poner una tarjeta de credito para que te hagan valido lo tu ya pagaste, En el servicio de asistencia también un mugrero…el agente Josias, no me ayudo en nada. solo decía que tenía que poner una tarjeta de crédito, para que me activen la tarjeta de prepago, este agente se tardaba mucho en contestar con tal de que el sistema se cerrara, a fin de cuentas, McAfee se convertido un verdadero dolor de cabeza. NO LO RECOMIENDO tenía más de 6 años usándolo... NO MAS!

I was charged $59 for the first year abd then even befoe my subrciption was over, the following year I was charged $300 for the product I don't even use any more. NO email reminder sent that subsciption is going to be charged, no email sent mentioning that charges are up to $300!!!!! just an email from my bank that I was charged! It is impossible to get hold of their customer service!

On the 16th June I renewed my antivirus which was expiring in July. The payment went through but soon after I was getting emails that I was not protected. I contacted them, and they said they sorted it all out. Very soon after I started getting these emails again. I contacted them again (this was about 3 days ago) and they said it was all sorted. I asked them to make sure they stop these emails, and they said it was done. Yesterday, I started getting these emails again, saying that my computer is not protected, while on the Mcafee symbol in my computer there is this exclamation mark. I am finding all this very distressing, and I have neither the time nor the energy to keep dealing with this unacceptable situation. I feel digitally unsafe, and the only solution now is to remove mcafee and install a different antivirus software.

started to spam me for no reason saying i have a million viruses when I was doing something important, i mean i would understand that because no one is using their goofy ass website

If I could give it no stars I would! I bought a renewal for mcafee but when I loaded it it started from today rather than on the expiry date. Rang them (big mistake) and spent 10 minutes interacting with some sort of bot that didnt understand what was required and kept going round in circles. Eventually said it would connect me to a human but needed me to a spell out my email using the nato alphabet. Really, get real?! Was then on hold with no indication i was actually connected unless I said 'are you the there', when it said it was trying to connect me. Needless to say I never got through to a human. Did then use the chat function, which seemingly does have humans and my issue was resolved.
Atrocious phone service. They need to do much better

Scare tactics. You're mean. And loose with the facts.
"Your protection is expiring soon". When??? If you know it is "soon", you know when. Why don't you say? Two options "I want to continue unprotected" and "I wish to renew". Mean. Is protection that has more than two months to run "expiring soon" ?? Is protection that has more than one month to run "expiring soon"? Behave, Help your customers instead of trying to panic them. Grow up. As Ms Badenoch famously said, Do Your Job.

Although quite good at letting you know they have stopped scam messages getting through, its a pity McAfee do not concentrate on customer after care
I have experienced trying to find out how to contact McAfee accounts offices and its a nightmare, I paid my yearly subscription this was acknowledge by McAfee, after nearly a week the amount of payment still has not shown up on my Bank account, so now cancelled my subscription.

I was duped into purchasing a renewal of McAfee software. When I realized my error, it was a few days past their 30 day refund policy, prohibiting my refund. I will be removing the software, and will be sharing with anyone that will listen about their unethical renewal practices. Jodi Roberson

Inacceptable. À chaque redémarrage de mon ordinateur, le moteur de recherche McAfee se réinstalle ou se remet comme moteur de recherche par défaut sans mon consentement. Je suis obligé de le supprimer régulièrement, et cela recommence sans cesse.

Ce type de pratique est extrêmement intrusif et donne l'impression que mon ordinateur ne m'appartient plus. Un logiciel de sécurité est censé protéger ses utilisateurs, pas modifier leurs paramètres ni imposer ses services.

Pour moi, c'est une atteinte au respect de la vie privée et du choix de l'utilisateur. Tant que ce comportement persistera, je ne pourrai absolument pas recommander ce produit.

Macafee you need a call centre in UK
As Canada and Australia still have strong accents.
She claimed id not been with them since 2024 I said why then has it let me do scans for free don't think so.
I needed strong whisky and I was banging my head against flat wall.
In UK we've got a heatwave macafee we can do without hassle with renewing our security it's covered for two year thank god.

Like others here, I got ensnared into auto renew - in my case after previously buying McAfee bundled with Microsoft subscription renewal on Amazon. I didn’t give McAfee permission to register my payment method. To my horror I’ve discovered they have auto renewed my for £90 without prior warning and without my prior consent - I now have two McAfee subscriptions but my account won’t let me cancel never mind request a refund. It’s impossible to speak with a human there. It’s supposed to prevent scams! My advice is avoid at all costs. Wish I’d read these reviews earlier

Mcafee pushed 'upsells' by spamming you directly on the PC or device it is "protecting". While they claim to block spam from others, they spam the hell out of you with their garbage products. Getting support for this is not possible in my experience, it's a multi week run-around. Uninstall or if lucky and you see this never install it!
