Nicht mal einen Stern würde ich geben aber ok so eine abzocke da denkt man ok ist billig obwohl es gute gratis giebt aber ja dachte media markt hat es auch also sollte es ja ok sein aber die sind nur auf abzocke aus ,seit dem ich es installiert habe habe ich nur probleme laptop trotz super internet extrem langsam dann drückt man auf smart Scan von mc afee und was kommt ihre daten wurden im darknet gefunden um vollen Schutz zu erhalten müssen sie 29,99 zahlen und es wird automatisch jährlich verlängert aber man bekommt ja einen monat vorher bescheid, was für ein Witz system ich werde den ganzen Laptop neu aufsetzen müssen damit der ganze Schrott weg ist und dann werde ich wie früher ein gratis Schutz benützen die sehr gut wahren und ich nie Probleme gehabt habe aber meine Freundin meinte wenn man zahlt sind sie wahrscheinlich besser aber ja ich sehe nichts davon ,sie wollen zuerst für 5 Lizenzen im [angebot] knappe 100 Euro und dann soll mann nochmal 30 Euro zahlen ,nein nicht mit mir das war das erste und letzte mal das ich diese Marke genutzt habe und hätte ich es vorher gewußt hätte ich es nie genommen ,vielleicht hilft es wem um gründlich darüber nachzudenken. Wenn mann gerne zahlt sind sie wahrscheinlich nicht schlecht aber ich gebe mein geld lieber sinnvoller aus anstatt es jemanden zu schenken der mich absichtlich in so eine Situation treibt mit langsamen internet Panikmache vor darknet und solchen sachen, also bevor ich das genommen habe habe ich nie von meinen daten im darknet gelesen oder gehört und siehe da es steht das meine daten im darknet gefunden wurden ,ich will niemanden beschuldigen weil ich es nicht mit sicherheit sagen kann aber eins kann und will ich sagen das ich mc afee niemals wieder kaufen werde ,mit solchen Aktionen das man zweimal für ein Abo zahlen soll ,so kommt mann nicht weit und ist auch gut so weil solche sachen sind nicht ok ,das wars für den Verein, besser für Spenden werben anstatt mit solchen Aktionen die Kunden zu vertreiben aber jeder denkt anders und handelt anders ,manche intelligent manche nicht.punkt

JUst had 1 of their scare tactic pop ups that came from the app in my task bar. I have life safe or total protection, not sure what they call it now. It was the 1 that pops up in the side of the screen saying I have 21 data breaches. I clicked on it and all it done was try and scare me with big bold letters to sell me something I dont need, didnt even show me what these breaches were. I went in checked the app and it was the same 3 data breaches I already dealt with. Maybe Im missing something as Im not an expert on the subject, but it feels a tad scammy using scare tactic. It feels like they operate in a legal grey area

Quand vous vous baladez des fois sur votre navigateur et que vous accepté les notifications un "virus" Mcafee va vous envoyer des notifications a balle vous disant de payer un abonnement pour arrêter ces notifications!

A fuir, méthode de pub honteuse!!!

Useless, no customer service at all except a bot which doesn't understand plain English then supposedly passes you on to a person and you just hang on for ever listening to horrible music

At this moment in time McAfee is emptying my bank account with auto renewals, I’ve spoken to their customer service with a promise of refunding the money they have taken. Near on £500 they have taken without permission, they are also using Indian call centres which worries me. Time for class action, if someone who has been a victim of this and according to other reviews this is a major complaint we need to crowd fund to take legal action and I’m willing to donate.

Bei Kündigung das allerletzte. Jetzt bleibe ich auf meinen 129,99 € sitzen. Und das nur, weil die Rückerstattungsrichtlinien leicht überschritten waren. Und die Kündigung per E-Mail nicht akzeptiert wurde.

Man if I could give them a 0 I would. I for one on my end messed up buying a cheaper one time plan for the year that then triples in price the following years. After I realized two years later, I call to ask for a refund because I don’t need the protection at all. The customer support says yes it’s no biggie and strangely enough tells me my bank won’t help me dispute the charge. The customer service says they’ll refund for me (they didn’t) and now I’m out of the window because it’s too far away. It’s utter bullshit! I called three times to confirm all just to get nothing! Thanks for the waste!

ive never seen such bad customer service in years. its rank to say the least. a help bot that keeps saying same thing, keeps putting you back to your account. a supposed land line number with another bot that keeps talking over you. try for a refund, thats another experience you wont forget!!!

I was offered a free year of McAfee with my laptop purchase. I canceled about a month later as I was unhappy with the performance. 11 months later, they tried to get $149.00 from my PayPal account, but luckily, I had recently changed bank accounts and had not updated PayPal, so McAfee's theft attempt was foiled. I wouldn't deal with them again, not for all the tea in China.

Had a subscription problem called up had the pleasure of speaking to a lovely lady named Jamaica who helped me rectified my problem overall in about 10 minutes

Don’t buy McAfee!
Bought PC Optimiser and hasn’t been working for weeks now as it’s asking me to reactivate as licences have expired but they haven’t.
Despite 2 calls to them nothing has been done and my computer is showing as ‘critical’ status now.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. They lure you with a very attractive price of 29.99, They set your account for "Automatic Renewal" without telling you. Shortly before your expiration date, they charge you 89.99, yes 89.99!! That is three times what you signed up for. In between, they keep using scare tactics to "upsell" you above your "Premium" service which is really basic antivirus protection to see if you fall for it. This company is unethical and deceptive. No wonder the terrible reviews it gets. When you try to unsubscribe from auto-renewal the first time they offer you a 20% discount for the following year. If you try a second time they offer you a fixed price which is less than half what they charged you. This is an evil company. Avoid them!

Don't buy any McAfee products. If you buy one, it will hound you relentlessly with adverts to buy other services. I do *not* recall agreeing to pay to be advertised to. This is no way to get repeat business.

In the future, I would avoid McAfee like the plague.

Macafee invaded my PC after looking at an ad on Facebook. it bombarded me with popups.
The ad seemed perfectly OK.
I strongly suggest you avoid Macafee.

I navigate to my account in the website, I try to check my subscription status but it's in Dutch and McAfee assumes that if you live in the Netherlands you speak Dutch. I navigate to the setting to change language, the only English options are English/UK, English/USA, etc... tied to my location. I have to switch to English/UK, then I navigate to my account and the information is still in Dutch even if I just changed the language. I try again, no luck... then I have to manually translate all my account page from Dutch. I notice it mentions that my subscription is running until September and automatic renewal is off (which I keep off given McAfee's reputation of being a shark and billing you anyways), but it doesn't even mention the cost. There is zero transparency, McAfee just wants your money they are not interested in providing a decent service. The fact that it doesn't even give you basic info in English, telling you what you are buying and how much you pay for it is a red flag. I am not renewing my subscription, I will just block my bank account.

McAfee decided that they were gonna lay on my computer, take all of my RAM, and not even do anything but do a useless scan that said my system was clean every so often. It did catch one thing but didnt exactly say the threat it was, so I downloaded Malwarebytes and it caught 61 potentially unwanted programs lying on my computer stealing all of my data. And whenever I told customer support that it kept on blocking "Pop-Ups" everyday, they said its just McAfee doing its job. Thanks a lot McAfee.
