This is indeed a special course! One of the most beneficial both personally and professionally that I have taken part in.
Nick and Maddy were excellent facilitators, giving expert support and space for our own thoughts to emerge throughout the 5 days. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

What a wonderful experience the teacher training in mindfulness was. Our trainers Maddy and Nick were brilliant and facilitated with professionalism, encouragement and loving kindness. The knowledge imparted was everything you need, no question too much and all delivered in a relaxed and encompassing environment. And what’s more.... now the training has finished, they don’t disappear, they are still there ready and willing to help us all move forward with our mindfulness practice in whatever shape or form...

I have just completed the online intensive 5 day teacher training programme and highly recommend it. The course was very informative and provided a lot of opportunities for practical experience. The trainers were highly skilled in delivering a lot of information and practical guidance with warmth and humility. I was also very fortunate to be learning with a lovely group of individuals.

A great school of Mindfulness, gentle, and realistic training to meet today’s challenges. Great support by tutors and the supervision is also very up to date. Latest research and links to Neuroscience is also very helpful for teachers. The friendly environment created is an added bonus.

The Mindfulness Now course run by Maddy and Nick was an absolute delight from start to finish. The content and the way it was delivered was second to none. The course was delivered via zoom; this did not take away from the experience and all the participants and teachers were able to build a lovely rapport together. I can't recommend this course highly enough.

Having practiced Mindfulness for 10+ years I was really keen to expand my understanding of Mindfulness and start my journey towards becoming a Mindfulness Teacher.
Having conducted a thorough search I decided that the five day intensive teacher training course provided by ‘Mindfulness Now Oxford’.
My experience, during a very challenging time due to the pandemic, found the content being delivered remotely via Zoom, was well paced, student focused and soundly structured. The support materials were received well before the course started and offered a great level of detail, providing the student the entire content required to deliver their eight week programme.
I have been a Trainer for over 20 years and felt that the adaption of their course from classroom to virtual delivery was seamless, minimising any negative effect often found with delivering all day via a laptop.
A large element of this was down to the pre course material and the expert facilitation of our teacher, Aston. His understanding, experience and passion around Mindfulness and Yoga shone through during his delivery.
I highly recommend choosing this business when looking to expend your mindfulness experience as they not only cover the core subject wonderfully but offer / encourage a brilliant support network made up of past students and Instructors.

I can't recommend this course highly enough, a solid foundation of understanding, skills and techniques was provided throughout a challenging but well balanced 5 day course. I felt well prepared for what was required during the assessment phase and the whole experience was a pleasure - the training team and other candidates brought so many skills and so much knowledge to the process. The Mindfulness Now course was a fantastic experience which led me on to yoga teacher training and a whole new career as a mindfulness and yoga teacher. Without the foundation of skills and techniques provided by the team on the Mindfulness Now course I would not have felt as confident and well-prepared as I did to go out and start teaching independently. I'm also very impressed by the follow-on support available in terms of the Mindfulness Now support community, group meditations and continuous professional development offered. An extremely well thought out programme delivered by a talented and dedicated team. 5 stars.

I engaged in the Mindfulness Now programme to broaden my own experience and qualifications. I was not expecting to have such a profound experience and it has honestly changed my outlook and career plans. I want to extend my thanks to the wonderful experienced teachers who helped me through the course guiding me with reading materials and different tasks and challenges. The whole course was so enlightening, and gave me an opportunity to work alongside like minded people and learn and grow together. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to further their studies of mindfulness and expand their own awareness to the different tools we have to reduce stress and anxiety. The course leaders are exemplary and it is an experience not to miss.

Wonderful group of dedicated and professional teachers with a genuine passion for mindfulness and the benefits it can bring. It was a pleasure to study with Mindfulness Now and learn from the vast range of experience and knowledge being shared. Also great to be welcomed into the group of trainers/trainees offering ongoing support and opportunities after course completion. For the programme I participated in, the teaching was carried out over 5 days (making it very practical for people with busy schedules), but the teachers did fit plenty of content in to a short space of time and a lot of further study was necessary in order to complete the in-depth assessment (over the course of 6 months). After passing my assessment, I felt well equipped to begin my journey of teaching mindfulness.

I have only positive things to say about the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation (UKCMM) the quality of the accredited Mindfulness Now teacher training programme and both the level of expertise and highly professional approach of it’s teachers. I completed the teacher training and qualified as a Mindfulness teacher in 2016. Since then I have taught the Mindfulness Now programme to individual clients on a private basis and to groups of clients within schools and the NHS. The feedback on the course content has been consistently excellent and throughout, I have received a very high standard of ongoing professional development from the UKCMM. This has included attending regular group supervision sessions alongside my peers and completing regular Mindfulness-based CPD events provided by the College. I also regularly attend the complementary weekly online mindfulness sessions provided by the College to all qualified Mindfulness Now teachers. I have found these interactive, content-packed sessions to be both an enriching and developmental experience.
Because of my very positive personal experience of the College’s mindfulness development portfolio, I have this year successfully applied to enrol on the Mindfulness Now Learning Pathway - an immersive, advanced mindfulness development programme. Successful completion of the Pathway will enable me to qualify as an advanced mindfulness practitioner with the potential opportunity to teach the Mindfulness Now Teaching Training Programme in the future. I am very much looking forward to this exciting in-depth learning opportunity in a field that I am passionate about.

I have studied Mindfulness as part of a diploma/Masters Degree and I thought it would be nice to get some formal training.
Avoid this these trainers if you are looking for trainers with experiential knowledge of mindfulness that will have a deep understanding of the process and be able to guide you on your journey to becoming more mindful and integrated into the present. Its more akin to the blind leading the blind. you would have at least hope that they would be somewhat practiced in leading the way in what they teach.
These trainers had poor language skills in the training sessions using negative and sarcastic language models to try to teach what mindfulness was about. The whole course was mainly reading scripts, stories and poems a few discussions and no actual training on how to teach. There was no higher level learning and development, the course was basic. There was 1 exercise on discussing mindfulness with a potential group and the trainer I was with failed to give feedback in a constructive way, this was really quite unpleasant, luckily one of the other students gave some constructive feedback that enabled a more compassionate experience in this learning environment.
During the readings of mindfulness scripts and mechanically going through the mindfulness movement techniques at quite a rate the trainer asked for feedback on our experiences stating it was a safe place to even say if your experience wasn't good. So I honestly thought it would be ok so I stated that I had found myself to be frustrated in the practices as it felt like there was too much going and too fast going from one exercise to the next there was little time to experience any mindfulness, it just seemed like too much doing and little being. this was not received well which was demonstrated by a lack of mindfulness in attitude and behaviour following this feedback for the rest of the course, and sometimes in rather petty ways.
What else was shocking was their reaction to feedback on some of their content being inappropriate due to cultural appropriation, there response to this was dismissive and that it didn't really matter and it wouldn't make sense to change it! Which came a cross as lacking awareness and empathy.
There was a complete rejection that mindfulness could be taught to people with serious mental illness and it should not be attempted. This was weird as there is plenty of studies and research to say this is exactly the kind of people that would benefit from it most. There was obviously some serious lack of knowledge around mental illness and a fear driven lack of empathy and understanding.
I decided to not hand in the final work for this course, as I didn't feel that an accreditation or any further training/group meetings from these trainers would really add any positive value.
I would say that it was a complete waste of money, I did end up with a manual of scripts, which actually can mostly be found online anyway but it’s not £800 worth of scripts though... hmm maybe £800 worth of good books or a nice Holliday would have been better ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is a five day non residential course which teaches you the format of their own version of the classic MBSR and MBCT 8 week courses. You essentially leave with a handbook a few meditation techniques and a course syllabus to use. Teaching how to hold space for students or groups is not featured, and minimal opportunities for practice teaching is given. The assessment time framework is rigid and takes no account of individual needs and circumstances even if a trainee experiences any family life crises or loss within the assessment timeframe. Very little to no support is given during the assessment window. Don’t waste your time or money.
