After having my 'Short Term Rejection (Under CRA) refused by a main franchised dealer, and under instruction by the court for a single joint expert; i got in touch with Tim. My research into 5 separate experts showed me that Tim had the background, experience and knowledge to fairly and meticulously investigate my concerns. The fact that the dealers solicitors tried numerous times to avoid Tim being called upon told me all i needed to know! Tim interrogated the car and even included another specialist to support his findings, it really was a belt and braces job. The final report absolutely eviscerated the defence, highlighting where they had given 'factually incorrect' information both to me and (later) in their witness statements; and how their supposed 128 point mechanical and cosmetic inspection was ever competently undertaken as the car had extensive evidence of crash repairs done (to a poor standard). Tim's expertise and eagle eye was absolutely critical to my success; i can't thank him enough and would not hesitate to recommend him in any similar situation.

I was recommended Tim Kelly from Motorclaimguru by a friend after my insurance company attempted to write my car off using an under‑market repair cost and apply proportionality to my claim. This followed a hit‑and‑run incident that unfortunately resulted in an at‑fault claim for myself.

From the very first phone call with my insurer, I began experiencing issues. I was asked questions that had never been raised when my policy was incepted, including staying at my girlfriend’s house a few times a month. This is clearly permitted under the social use section of my policy, as it is not a permanent or fixed address. However, an overzealous member of staff interpreted this as a change of address and attempted to apply proportionality to my claim.

After countless emails and phone calls with both my insurer and broker, I made absolutely no progress. At that point, I began discussions with Tim—and that’s when everything changed.

Tim immediately asked for all relevant information relating to my case, allowing him to fully understand the situation and take control. His communication throughout was exceptionally clear, structured, and professional. He handled all correspondence with the insurer, only forwarding emails when the information was genuinely relevant or required my input, which removed a huge amount of stress.

Using his extensive knowledge and experience, Tim firmly reminded the insurance company of their legal position. As a result, what should have been considered reasonably minor damage did not turn into a total loss. He also successfully challenged and removed the incorrectly applied proportionality after seeing through the “games” being played by the insurer.

After three months of complete stagnation, Tim’s attentiveness and determination finally got the claim moving and ultimately settled. Thanks to him, I’m now on track to get back on the road and return to living a normal life.

Tim’s services are absolutely vital and deserve far wider recognition. It’s clear that he genuinely cares as much as you do as a customer. Not only is he outstanding at what he does, but he is also an extremely nice, genuine person with a true passion for cars, fairness, and ensuring insurance companies do the right thing instead of manipulating or taking advantage of their customers.

If there were a 7 star option Tim would deserve it.

I appointed him to help with a rediculous car parking charge. Long story about how I ended up with it.

But the car park owner persued me for £1.50 over a period of 18 months.

Tim knew from the offset they would drop the charge but he also knew it was going to take a long time.

At every step of the way he assured me and course corrected me to take the right next step.

After 18 months, lots of intimidation and bullying from all the companies involved, they wrote to me last night confirming they are closing the case. Court date was set for November at my local court!! What a win that is for us!!!

I would recommend Tim Kelly whenever there is any claim involving motor insurance. He is a poacher turned gamekeeper as he used to work for a number of insurers. He knows their tricks and efforts to delay claims and reduce the outcomes. He is like a terrier with these guys and well worth his fee. In short he never gives up. Tim helped me with the theft of my vehicle. He also knows his way around the Ombudsman service and can help with submissions. Highly recommended.

Got motorclaimguru involved following an accident that wasn’t my fault and my insurance company declared the car a total lost despite the repair costs being less than Market value of the car.
