Appalling Customer Service
Appalling Customer Service â Zero Support for Customers
I visited the Mr Vitamins located in World Square George St CBD store yesterday with my husband, intending to buy a three-month supply of Vitamin E for a total over $100. We tried to sign up for their $10 introductory offer, but the system kept returning an error message.
When I asked for help at the register, I was referred to a staff member who appeared to be the store manager. I explained the technical issue, but instead of helping resolve it or honoring the promotion in-store, she immediately handed me the headquarters phone number and told me to fix it myself. I called right then and there, only to reach an automated message stating headquarters was overwhelmed with calls and to try again later.
When I relayed this to the manager, her response was simply, "Well, call later." Immediately after, she dismissively told my husband to move out of the line so she could serve the next customer. That was itâno empathy, no attempt to assist, just "deal with your problem and bye."
How can a store expect local support with this level of service? They didn't just lose a $100+ sale yesterday; they lost a new customer permanently. Management needs to remember that without customers, their business cannot exist. Take your business elsewhere in the CBD to a shop that actually values its patrons.
