Wir haben einen hochwertigen Stuhl bei muuto gekauft: Cover Armlehnstuhl Eiche. Dieser kam beschÀdigt an mit herausgebrochenen Stellen im Furnier.
Nach RÌcksprache mit dem HÀndler ist muuto nicht bereit den Stuhl zu ersetzen und ich musste mein Widerspruchsrecht geltend machen.
Teure Leuchte nach 2 Jahren defekt
Wir haben vor gut zwei Jahren eine Ìber 400 EUR teure Stehleuchte von Muuto gekauft (Modell Muuto Post). Sie verfÌgt Ìber zwei Leuchteinheiten von denen nun bereits eine kaputt ist, und das obwohl sie mit >30.000 EUR Betriebsstunden werben. Der HÀnder verweigert natÌrlich jegliche Verantwortung (was ich nach 2 Jahren verstehe) und Muuto verweist mich jedoch auch an den HÀndler. Wenn das der Kundenservice ist, dann kann ich demnÀchst doch einfach eine Leuchte fÌr 100 EUR aus dem Baumarkt kaufen. Sehr schade.
Visible wall plugs
We bought buttons in assorted materials and sizes. Large ones were fine, but the smallest ones used the same screws. These needed my largest wall plugs, and the plugs were bigger than the base of the button. I had to trim the flange off the plugs, and even then you can see them if you look closely. Generally I prefer things over-engineered, but not when there's a flash of blue at the base of each button. Can't usefully remove them and send back as I'll be left with a load of holes in my wall!

Har kÞbt et nyt Muuto linar Steel bord til ca. 10.000 kr. Det kunne ikke samles, efterfÞlgende har vi fra forhandleren fået en ekstra samlevideo, hvorefter at det med besvÊr lykkedes.
Terrible quality, do not recommend!
Bought a coffee table that had stains on it almost immediately after use. I've been trying to get their help to understand why such a expensive coffee table would get marked up like this so quickly. After over two months of emails/chasing, all I'm being told is it's not covered by their warranty. I would not recommend Muuto at all or the shop I got it off (Haus).
Elendig kvalitet.
Har kÞbt nogle muuto skalstole med trÊben. I fÞrste omgang blev de byttet på garantien pga. de flÊkkede i ryggen, hvilket var så fin service. Men da trÊbenene begyndte at flÊkke så ville de ikke. jeg kunne betale for et nyt trÊben til den nette sum af 1500,- .. Aldrig mere Muuto. Elendig kvalitet.
Schlechte QualitÀt und die Garantie ist nichts wert!
Unser Fiber Armchair zerbrach trotz der 10-Jahres-Garantie bei leichtem Gebrauch. Der Hersteller wich einem direkten Kontakt aus und zwang uns, einen langwierigen Prozess mit dem HÀndler zu durchlaufen. Nachdem man zusÀtzliche Fotos zur Typbestimmung angefordert hatte, wurde unser Garantieanspruch ohne jegliche ErklÀrung abgelehnt. Man besaà die Frechheit, eine nicht passende Sitzschale fÌr satte 250⬠anzubieten, die aufgrund von MaterialverÀnderungen nicht einmal auf unser Modell passt. Finger weg!
Expensive designer lamps with terrible design
The ceiling lamps look good online and if mounted by professionals, but are impossible to mount in regular homes. Spent 3 hours trying to rebuild the mounting system because it is not designed to be retrofitted in an existing home, only to end up with a terrible-looking chaotic crooked cable knot where itâs attached to the ceiling. Sort of ruins the whole design. 2 stars for what is dangling below.

Havde kigget på Muuto tÊppe til under sofaen, faktisk et tet pÊn tÊppe. Men har lige set 3 af de tÊpper på DBA som alle er under 3 år, de er flosset fuldstÊndig i kanten, så rigtig dårlig kvalitet åbenbart. Kan også se herinde på anmeldelserne at der er flest utilfredse kunder med alle produkter. Og da Muuto ikke besvarer anmeldelserne, må det vÊre fordi de ikke Þnsker at stille kunderne tilfredse
Poor product quality and customer service
Love the design, but unfortunately the product quality is bad and the customer service is very poor. I would advice against buying the muuto outline couch: the cushions are not correctly fitted or strongly attached to the couch and therefore will sag very quickly (something you do not expect at this price point). When you address this point at customer service they simply state you should buy new cushions at muuto. Well, that is an interesting (and very money driven) strategy.
Bad price / quality ratio and incompetent customer service
We purchased a Stacked Storage System in Oak finish in January , which was delivered in February.
This is a modular system that you assemble yourself.
We paid 1500 EUR for a small shelf that is not even solid oak, but veneered, i.e. a thin foil of oak glued to an MDF base : we could probably have had the same for 150 EUR at Ikea... Upon assembleing the shelf, we noticed it was not lacquered or oiled : there was no protection whatsoever on the wood, and as we know it, oak is very sensitive to water or oil stains..
We asked the question to Muuto : has it been treated, if not why, and in this case, what do you recommend we apply ourselves as a treatment ?
After a long series of email exchanges with Muuto customer service, where they first said it is not normal and it should have been treated, they finally came back to us saying that it is normal that the products are not treated, that's what gives the products it's "unique character" and that stains and spots are not covered by warranty either.
On their site, or the product documentation, there is no mention that the product is treated or not treated..
On the question of what product they recommend to treat the shelf ourselves, the answer was that they cannot recommend anything, because markets are different and they cant' test all available products, and bla , bla , bla...
Bottom line : we sell you an overpriced piece of furniture that's not protected against the risks of daily use and when you ask for advice on how to do it your self, they are not even able or willing to help...
My advice : stay away from that hipster brand, there are better alternatives for the same prices like Huelsta or Ethnicraft.

Jeg fik en Muuto Tip lampe for et par år siden i firmajulegave. Egentlig er den jo pÊn og jeg har vÊret glad for den. Indtil den så ikke virker mere⊠ingen mulighed for at skifte pÊren eller rep af hvad der nu måtte vÊre galt. Det er da det modsatte af et bÊredygtigt design. Dyr lampe der kan smides ud efter to år! Det skal siges at jeg både har kontaktet Muuto og gavefabrikken.dk hvor de skubber ansvaret på hinanden.

Poor customer serive. I bought 2 pillows after not even 2 years both zippers are broken. Horrible quality for £400
Also I got a rug for over £800 which starts falling apart already.
Unfortunatley the retailer I bought it from has gone bust during lockdown. Muuto insists I need to return it to the retailer or have a receipt. First of all it's obvious that it's their brand as it has a label secondly who keeps receipts for a pillow. Absolutley apauling excuse just to not exchange their poor quality product.
Stay away from that brand. My IKEA pillows are 8yrs old and in better shape. Muuto pillows are ready for the bin after 2yrs.

Inderpuder med fjer fra Muuto Layer Cushion holder på ingen måde tÊtte. Der vÊlter 20 fjer ud af puden hver gang, man har siddet op ad den, da bomuldsstoffet i selve inderpuden ikke holder tÊt. Det strikkede betrÊk er udmÊrket. Har skiftet mine inderpuder ud med nogle andre, da jeg hurtigt blev mega trÊt af dem.

Dårlig service! Umuligt at få banale reservedele - som forÞvrigt ville have vÊret unÞdvendigt, hvis kvaliteten fra fabrikken havde vÊret i orden - til deres dyre lamper, selv om de stadig forhandles.

Really cheap quality screws that you can only use once as the metal flakes. It also bends out of shape making it hard to screw the Dot onto it. Good luck getting the screw out of the wall later.

Their delivery times are shocking and customer service poor.
We ordered two expensive sofas and expected a premium service - we were dissappointed.
We asked their UK dealer called 'Utility' for a delivery date about 2 months after our order was placed. They sent us several replies claiming not to have had one from Muuto. So we asked Muuto's customer service direct. They refused to comment on our order and just sent us back to the dealer who was not giving straight answers! No help at all!
Muuto then claimed the dealer had been given a delivery time while the dealer claimed they had not.
After several email rounds, the dealer told us it would be another three months to despatch (5 1/2 months from order) so probably six months till receipt. I think 2-3 months to deliver is okay, but six months is absurd and the attempt to not tell us suggests they know it's unreasonable.
They also attempted fob us off by blaming 'Brexit', but this is clearly not a shipping/customs issue as we are nowhere near a shipping date.
Altogether pretty poor for a so-called 'Premium' brand.
