Big Screen events unreliable
My wife and I went to see The Winter's Tale, direct from the Royal Opera House. Unfortunately, initially there was no sound to accompany the picture; that was sorted when a customer complained, and we enjoyed the first two acts of the ballet. But at about 10.10pm transmission ceased abruptly, and we missed the last 20 minutes or so of the performance. Front-of-house staff were unhelpful. The duty manager apologised and gave us tickets for future use - not much compensation since the usual fare at our local cinema (Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Ireland) is not to our taste; in any case, missing most of the final act of a ballet can hardly be compensated by watching the whole of, say, Godzilla. This is not the first time something similar has happened, and it puts the cinema management in a difficult position.

SCAMMERS. It was an incredibly disappointing experience and even worse customer service. They screwed up the sound at the start of the film and they wonât do anything about it.
Only interested in taking your money - don't care about customers
Twice in the past month we've been to see films at VUE CINEMAS GUNWHARF QUAYS and the picture quality has been sub-standard. Out of focus and too dark. Complained on the spot to a member of staff who said he'd speak to the manager but did nothing about it. Emailed customer services to complain and was told they can do nothing about it - complaints can only be dealt with at the cinema (but what if you cant find anyone who will actually do anything?)
Absolutely appalling app and webâŠ
Absolutely appalling app and web booking experience. Wonât accept valid codes for VIP Sky and Meerkat without several attempts. Eventually managed to book 3 tickets using Meerkat code by selecting 2 tickets and then adding a third once code was inputted. Have had several issues in the past where seats I have in my basket canât be checked out and then are unavailable if I restart booking process! Shame as I love everything else about Vue but they really need to get their tech sorted.
Scammers
I bought tickets for a movie on the machine. The tickets never came out, I told the employees and they said there was nothing they could do about it.

I pre booked & paid for tickets to see Taylor Swift in limerick , so I am not familiar with this city & went to cinema in crescent , who sent me to odeon in castletroy when we arrived at 7 40 we reckoned missed 10 mins which was ok to be told wrong cinema again & was 20 mins away & no contact number to check , so with great disappointment we paid again at this cinema I tried contacting the number which must be a fake number as no connection tried the â view details â on website which doesnât work so cannot make contact to sort this so very disappointed so through this Iâm hoping to hear back about this matter

This website is a technical disgrace
This is the most unreliable and poorly managed website ever! It won't let me sign up on one email address but will on another but that isn't the one I bought my tickets from (which I have to change dates for). Yesterday there was no live chat icon - today there is but no one is responding (45 minutes wait so far). Trying on phone and no luck getting past the long-winded intros. Argh! Vue - take note!!!! Website took my money
Tried booking two tickets for a film just over an hour before it started. The horrible badly made website site wouldn't let me log into myvue account I checked my order and I had chosen two VIP seats. Paid and I've only got one seat instead of two. The site wouldn't let me book another and was saying the seats I intended to book were unavailable.
Vues pig ignorant customer service refused a refund as they said I need to log into a myvue account (which I was unable to do due to their website) and give three hours notice (which I couldn't do as booked just before the film started). Totally ignoring it's their awful website that caused the error. Will be going Odeon instead from now on.

Worst website I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Bugs out when you try to log in, bugs when you try to pay. Been fighting with it for easily 20+ mins and will be looking for a different cinema if it means I don't need to spend another minute on their glitchy website.

Trying to manage my booking made with a voucher, the website and phone line both say to use the live chat but I've been searching for ages and there doesn't seem to actually be a live chat... there's literally no way to manage the booking other than going to the cinema physically to talk to them

I tried to book tickets online and the website crashed. It was down for 20 minutes and when it came back there was a virtual queuing system in place. I waited 11 minutes, booked the seats, and when I tried to pay, the credit card verification process places you back into the virtual queue - so you're waiting for 10 minutes and the transaction times out. I've been trying to buy these seats - for my son - for 2 hours now.

Visited the cinema and found the heating was off. Totally spoilt my enjoyment of watching Maro Brothers with my granddaughter. That was tortous, a cold venue did not help..
Visited the cinema and found the experience dreadful. The venue was freezing cold for the duration of the show. Spoke to the manager after the showing. I suffer from Arthritis and the cold affects my knees badly. On the plus side at least the descending escalator was working, unlike my last visit, where I had to use the stairs to exit the cinema.
