The manager Steve is exceptional.
He is courteous, friendly, informative. He keeps patient under pressure.
I noticed he had to address an issue with a member of staff re a customers order for the following day. He was driving high standards in a firm, kind but no nonsense way. I have always received excellent service here. He/they research rigorously to find the best deals on products for you.
Brilliant Team
Couldn't recommend Steve and the team at National Tyres enough always fantastic service, friendly helpful and honest. I never have to worry that they are getting me to agree to work that isn't needed and they always take the time to explain the work required which is massivly appreciated. They always go above and beyond I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Brilliant team!

This has been along time coming! On the 5th October 2024 I took my new 2nd hand car to national tyres in salisbury, as I had taken the car to halfords and wasn't happy. Can I just say that

We're all absolutely fantastic. I honestly couldn't have thanked them enough for what they did that day. They were extremely helpful. Didn't rip me off on prices, very honest. And didn't appear to mind with my ramblings on!!
I was booked to take my car back in, but due to a family death, I couldn't. But will be taking my car back there for work and it's mot. These fellas are a Credit to national tyres and halfords and I just hope that they are recognised for going above and beyond. It wasn't just me they were like this too. I observed them being like this with every customer.

Case Ref: 24344781 - On 17/09/2024 my wife brought her car in for an MOT and interim service to the centre.
When she came to collect the vehicle, she was told that the MOT had "passed" and was then told that "during the service a part (Sump Plug) on her car had been broken" during the process of the service, to which she was told that the centre had "contacted the supplier" and was told "the part was not available indefinitely and was simply suggested to try other garages to find the part & carry out the work".
When questioned about this a very rude manager had suggested that "it had been broken prior to the service and could only conclude this once it was taken out", in fact if you look at the service history this centre were the last to touch that part of the car. This led to her calling me at work very upset as she did not have any way of transporting the car which was now completely undrivable (baring in mind, it was driven into the centre with no issue). She was then told that the centre "could not carry out any further work on the car" and the car has subsequently been booked in now for a tow to remove it from the centre's forecourt, This came at a cost £85-00.
We contacted another garage who have been more than accommodating to help out and find the part and have already finished the work, they were also very surprised at the fact that the centre couldn't do anything at all to help after essentially "breaking her car" however, this has now come at a cost of £400+ which to be honest should not be a fee that we should be picking up for the error and clear negligence during the service/prior services.
My wife then received an email detailing the MOT and service health report, this really topped things off as it has listed some parts on the car to 'keep an eye on' the 4 parts listed were all brand new at the start of this year and the brakes (listed) were only renewed in June leading us to believe that the person/s involved in this service were clearly not completing the tasks/checks correctly or even at all! this in turn has caused a serious issue now with the car that is as mentioned - undrivable!
To my disbelief the invoice attached on the service health report then shows a charge for a change of engine oil into the car, however no oil was added, as this part of the car had been broken prior to this and adding oil to this part would simply allow it to flow through the pipes and out of the bottom of the car. I have logged a complaint with Halfords (owner of national) and after being told we would have a solution within 48hrs, here we are 11 days on with no response. Even the Halfords retail outlet around the corner were shocked that this happened and then being advised the cost was to be picked up by ourselves.

No concept of Customer Service
I had two rear tyres replaced after a puncture in my off side rear tyre. I queued and had the two new tyres fitted at National Tyres and Autocare - Salisbury. I hadn't pre-booked so didn't mind the hour or so wait. It was Saturday afternoon. Sunday am and one of the new tyres (near side rear) was totally flat. No spare so I was stuck.
I called the branch, they said they dont have a mobile fitter so I would need to call customer services / go on line.
The on line portal was completely useless. The only way I could get someone mobile to visit would have been to order and pay for up front another new tyre! I didn't want to do that.
The online chat system really is not up to scratch. I still haven't got a response from the messages that I put in requesting assistance.
The Salisbury branch gave me numbers to call. This is a whole new world of pain. There is absolutely no concept of customer service, the options to select are confusing and often you get into a queue which isn't answered. When you do get through to someone the first thing that they want to do is transfer you elsewhere... and then you wait and wait and wait. It is a truly shocking service.
I went back in Tuesday am (still no car) and the manager at Salisbury tried to help me by calling internally & to area managers. Finally he got someone to come out on Wednesday morning - 4 days after being fitted. There was nothing wrong with the new tyre - just an issue somewhere with the fitting.
A couple of stars - the mobile engineer who fitted it couldn't have been better / more helpful. The manager at Salisbury worked hard to try and get me some support and finally arranged the mobile engineer.

I always use national tyre services. It is local to me the staff are pleasant and curtious. And they know what they are doing.

Free brake check and solution in 3 hrs!
Booked in for a free brake check as there were some "interesting" noises being emitted. Turned out there was a build up of dirt and grease. They solved the problem and gave me a full explanation. They also, impartially, talked me through some other issues that will need attention soon. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful.

Ordering on line (for a best price) I phoned the branch to check a detail about the fit of tyre for my car. Reassured I went on to order them at the time of my choosing. All good.

The website was mostly OK but when I entered my phone number with a space as I do on most web sites, this one insisted that it was invalid, until I removed the space. there was no indication of thr required format. this is a result of lazy programming and not catering for all possibilities.
