Last Saturday I ended up at the Wrexham branch just before setting off for home (80 miles away). My car was displaying a warning sign for an oil leak and I needed someone to have a look at it. I was very distressed and worried about how to get home. The staff were very kind and although they were extremely busy all day, they managed to fit me in to have a look at it. The problem was something which needed to be sorted by my garage at home (following a recent service) and because of this, I had to call the RAC to get me home. However the team were amazing and let me stay whilst I sorted things out. I was extremely grateful to them. Special thanks to Ian, Rachel and Connor - they were clearly very busy all day but were so lovely, kind and professional at all times. All are a credit to the branch, they made a very difficult situation for me a lot better.
This is just to say that I think the staff in this branch are wonderful. I was very grateful for the way they helped me on Saturday, when I was really stressed and worried. They deserve the highest compliments and I wanted to make sure they know what a difference they made. I have been telling a lot of people about what a positive experience I had from them.

Ordered 4 news tyres and tracking to be done tyres went on no issues however tracking hasn’t seemed to of worked so went back and got it re-done and it still hasn’t worked so I have requested a refund and its on its way.

The tyres I ordered were not on site at National tyres Wrexham, I had to have Avon tyres instead which cost me £167 extra. Very poor service.

I don’t often leave reviews, but this experience has left me extremely annoyed and upset with the blatant disregard to the respect of my vehicle, namely my alloy wheels which were immaculate before visiting National for tyres.

I ordered 4 tyres online to be fitted at my local national tyre centre in wrexham. Arrived that afternoon for fitting and was asked if I wanted to wait or come back. I ALWAYS wait and I ALWAYS watch the work being carried out. I had recently had all four alloy rims refurbished and I asked for care to be taken. I watched in horror as very little care was paid to removing my wheels - all nuts were removed from each wheel without any other means of supporting it, and then they whacked at them with a hammer to remove them. Consequently, the alloys dropped onto the brake discs as they were not supported and scuffed the insides. They also managed to scuff the insides of a few wheel nut recesses with the misuse of an air gun to remove the bolts which resulted in several scuffs. If that wasn’t bad enough, I think they must have used a screwdriver to remove the old balancing weights as where they were before is now left with gouges and powder coating back down to the bare metal with my refurbished powder coated alloys being knackered yet again in a way I thought wasn’t even possible by anyone with ANY degree of competence in what they are paid to do - remove and replace tyres safely without ANY damage to alloy wheels. I complained at the time to the installers that they had damaged my alloys but my complaints were ignored. I’ve emailed the complaints email address since fitting on the 20th only to be ignored yet again with no reply. I’m left feeling absolutely gutted that I even bothered to trust National with my wheels and tyres and their aftersales service is just as appalling as their fitting service. Would I recommend national to anyone? - hell no. It’s likely to cost more to put right the wrong that they’ve done to my wheels than I care to think about. I would HIGHLY advise ANYONE who cares for their car to stay away from these cowboys. I know for sure that I will NEVER use or recommend them ever again.

Just easy to navigate around and easy to apply

Don’t go to national tyres Halfords. Since the change they have become disgusting. My niece went for an MOT and they said she needed the emissions doing for £388. Absolutely disgraceful as she then took it elsewhere and they said it was perfectly fine she then paid only £40 for the MOT. GET A GRIP

the fitter was friendly and did a good job but it took over 2 hours to fit tyres as he said he was asked to work on other cars that cam ein so not happy with that when i had booked in for job.it was actually the crewe branch

I seem to always have a good relationship with this garage as a customer hence why the 5*****
