I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Northwest autos, and I cannot praise them enough for their exceptional service and comprehensive selection of vehicles. Unfortunately, after buying a car from them, it's been back for new radiator, water pump, head gasket. They couldn't even diagnose the headgasket because it didn't show on a sniff test ( it wouldn't as it water in coolant not combustion gases). Got it back after 7 weeks after being given the run around. Then to top it off, picked up the car on a Saturday, a key for a Volvo was left in it, it sounded like a sack of spanners compared to when I dropped it off. The reason it sounded like a sack of spanners is they fitted the rocker arm ladder 180 degrees out so the clearances on the valves were wrong . Also they make you fill out a 5 star review so you get a discount on the extended warranty. Suffice it to say I have reported this practice to trading standards.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE GUYS EVER!!!!
Never experienced such a scam in cars in over 40 years. Fill in the Trip Advisor and other reviews before picking up the car in NWA to ensure the reviews go forward in advance.

Came to Blackburn to view the car, I noticed oil leaks and was assured that these were to be completed and the car was to be cleaned and sent on its way when I arrived back and paid in full which I did.
I had asked Patrice for the number of drives of the car before this and was told we don’t buy cars in bad condition and have a reputation, she never gave me the figures and ensured me the AA warranty and of course, your obligatory 6 months buyers guarantee from the dealership which is automatic from any dealer selling or reselling cars.

This was rubbish as you are kept waiting over the period allowed to claim.

Cars are in no condition to be sold and the AA warranty is worthless.

The car virtually blew up in the first 15 minutes of driving it from NWA. Below is the list of problems and processes. We had the car last April and since December it has been off the road we have declared the car SORN while it is being investigated by other parties

Fans blowing constantly
Massive Oil leak - Not fixed initially under their car care warranty to leave premises.

Engine warning light
Battery Fault STOP
Electric fault STOP
Water fault STOP

Oil Leak massive, Crankshaft oil seal ( Recitified)

We have 21 points of dispute.

This was after all of the trouble on day 1 where the car nearly blew up and was wheeled back into NWA.

My Email to NWA, one of over 30, was the First email the very next morning after the car overheated and juddering to a stop on pick up.

I wanted to put this in writing following my day with you yesterday regarding the purchase of the white Peugeot RCZ
After all the hassle with the car yesterday, I managed to get home by 6:45 pm. I was nearly home when another warning light happened, which was the battery stating a fault this was whilst on the motorway, and I was alarmed that I might break down in the Friday traffic.

Last night whilst the car was locked and on the drive, the lights for no apparent reason kept coming on and going off for some time and left the doors unlocked, which stopped it!!

Today I noticed water on the floor under the front and an oil patch. I was assured that the oil leak had been resolved, but as of this time, 13.30, I have an oil patch on the drive.

Ongoing waiting for replies and numerous calls over 5 months.
No result no one is in or busy on the phone and non can help- speak with customer service who always ask the same questions and have no idea then pass on a message which never gets answered.
5 months of wasting time and nominal driving of the car to and from garages at my cost.

All summer it was the same, no help and then managed to get through in December, It could not be arranged as it was xmas and so tried to reconvene in Jan but the guy had been moved from CS.

I then had to start the process over again with no initial luck, finally, we agreed at my own discretion I could get the car to Blackburn and I had to speak with my AA to pick up and transport.

Finally after numerous calls to aftersales a Reply after 5 weeks of being with NWA. I said i was thinking of legal action and then the next day this email arrived. Funny that there was no advice as to what the problems were and all recognisability was thrown back in my court.

"Your vehicle has been inspected and we have looked into your claims. The workshop has advised the faults which are currently present on your vehicle would not have been present, nor developing at the point of sale. This is evidenced by how many miles you have completed in your vehicle since purchase"

Miles driven with all of the above problems waiting for solution were less than 1500 including 2 trips to Balckburn nearly 500

Do not get involved and do not fall for the deceit.

Our advice is not to get involved and go elsewhere. We have a £6500 lump of metal not fit to drive and we are now looking to pay another £2200 to at least get it running correctly to sell it and start again.
