Poor customer service

Long time customer, first time contacting Nuance customer service.

-They didn't bother to actually read my email to start with. I asked for a reset of serial number after computer failure, and they replied that as I hadn't bought extended download I couldn't download the software again !! (I already have the software! ).
They then didn't even bother to reply when I advised of this.
I wouldn't buy from Nuance again

Pessima esperienza con il loro software…

Pessima esperienza con il loro software Paperport 14, pagato oltre 50 euro, ha cessato di funzionare completamente, all'improvviso, dopo un aggiornamento di windows 10, e nonostante abbia aggiornato alla versione consigliata, la 14.5.
Se tento di accedere all'assistenza sul loro sito, non mi riconosce più il codice acquisto (sono passati oltre 2 anni).

Called first 1-800 number...got sent to…

Called first 1-800 number...got sent to website....called another 1.877 number and the first person made it sound like she would help and transferred me to someone who transferred me to the first 1-800 number. Called a third number for customer service...got zero help and was transferred to the second number. For the cost of the product, I would expect to not be tossed around like a hot potato. Considering that the product in question is for medical practice, I would like to think that there would be some concern in making sure the customer is happy. I just got a bunch of cheerful morons who don't want to do any work on the phone and got the impression that it is kind of company policy to push the customer off as much as possible.

Also went to on site for Medical Practice and got Lorem Ipsum and another site for resellers and the map was grayed out....pathetic.

Using Dragon NaturallySpeaking

I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for over 20 years and you have to be a little bit self supportive. Never buy the download, always buy the disc, if you don't like the microphone that comes with it buy a decent one like a Sennheiser.
One of the things that you do need with Dragon NaturallySpeaking is lots of memory, I have 32 GB and can roll around anything at all especially Dragon and the new Coral programme which has come out. I have experienced problems with some of their programs which have not worked properly but I have always got a refund from them. Don't use the minimum memory that they suggest always go well above it.

I wish that trust pilot could pass this information to all the people who are having a grumble at nuance and Dragon NaturallySpeaking

which will help you with your problems. They do sell nuance products and especially Dragon NaturallySpeaking and run question and answers from experts it is all free . Take as much advantage of this is possible to solve your problems
If you are going to uninstall DNS use the disc which has a repair and uninstall facility

Leider benutze ich Dragon

Ich benutze Dragon, zwangsweise in der Extrateuerversion für Ärzte (knapp 2000€ ohne Mehrwert gegenüber NaturallySpeaking, denn den mitgelieferten Wortschatz kann ich in meiner Fachrichtung nicht verwenden.
- Erkennungsrate mässig, trotz wiederholtem Training, Sprachprofiloptimierung usw
- Teilweise mehrere Abstürze tgl, d.h. Praxisunterbrechung durch Neustart des Systems
- Einpflegen neuer Vokabeln ist Glücksache, meist sind sie nach Neustart wieder weg
- in manchen Programmen Probleme mit Groß-/Kleinschreibung
- aber zum Glück habe ich ja über meine IT Firma eine Pflichtsoftwarepflege für einen kleinen monatlichen Obulus... nun lassen wir das. Aber alle 18 Fernwartungstermine, sämtliche Screenshoterei der Fehlermeldungen haben nichts gebracht und...
- ... der Hammer: Nuance interessiert das nicht. Melden sich noch nicht einmal auf Anfrage meiner IT Fa. Das geht denen einfach am A... vorbei.
Fazit: dringend nicht zu empfehlen

Den schlechtesten Support

Den schlechtesten Support, den ich je erlebt habe, komme immer beim englschsprachigen Support raus, obwohl ich die deutsche Nummer gewählt habe und soll es später wieder probieren. Das ist mir fast 14 Tage passiert, jetzt reicht es, ich werde mir eine andere Software als Paperport14 suchen.

I am in the 5th hour of trying to fix …

I am in the 5th hour of trying to fix my profile which no longer has microphone option - very frustrating - tech support advised changing my users to administrators which is like a sledgehammer for a nut solution

Dragon have given up trying to resolve this microphone issue which has meant having to create another user profile , along with the the voice analysis that has been done so far - extremely dissapointed they did not try to find out why this had happened in order to avoid future issues involving the same disabled microphone problem that I had had with the microphone icon of the Dragon Software.

Absence of paid software as well as customer service

I have never experienced anything like it. I purchased a license for the program Dragon Naturally Speaking to interact in language with my computer. That means that I paid for the program, but got nothing from Nuance. Customer service was absent (maybe the Dragon was sleeping??). This company must have a really good economy - producing and selling nothing at a good price! Maybe it is not going to last for ever . . . . .

customer service is unhelpful

Dragon version 6 for Mac has been a nightmare. It constantly crashes and does not work well with Microsoft Word or Apple pages. I called customer service and their suggestion was to delete my profile and create a new one as well as close out all my other programs that I am not using. This did not work at all still crashes. I wish I could go back to version 5 or four, but Dragon forces you to upgrade if you upgrade your Mac operating system. Due to the unreliability of the program I cannot recommend you use this. I've owned many versions of Dragon before and I have never had any problems with the program working.

The one thing I will say is that version 6 does a better job of transcribing your words and is deathly more accurate than version 4 or five (I owned both of these versions for Mac).

Buggy Dragon dictation sofware and even worse customer service

Appalling customer service. I purchased Dragon dictation software which did not work brilliantly on my computer, but was passable. A few weeks after buying it though, it crashed for good. Nuance refused to provide me support saying that they didn't provide support for my system (even though they had been providing support prior to the crash), refused to give me a refund, the nuance technical team leader refused to escalate the matter and then ignored my subsequent communications. No response from their Group CEO either. They also ignored the Ombudsman. Be wary about giving your hard-earned money to these people: you risk never getting it back if something goes wrong.

Paperport Professional 14

Schlechter, unhöflicher und herablassender Service. Bindet die Lizenz an die Harddisk. Wechsel auf größere Harddisk nur unter größtmöglichen Umständen und nach 1Jahr nach der Zwangsonline Registrierung erlicht der technische Support.

I am having a lot of trouble getting Dragon naturally speaking to

I am having a lot of trouble getting Dragon naturally speaking to work in word (latest version). I have done everything I know to do and looked up a lot more, and although I have got as far as getting it to work in its own little box, it won't work on a Word Document which is the whole point of having it!
The last thing I tried was getting word to un-disable the programme, but it wasn't there to disable! I am a very patient person, (Driving instructor in the heart of London for 35 years) but this is driving me up the wall. Nuance should tell people, "This software may not work, so don't buy it, if you intend to use it!
The only real help I found was from Nuance themselves (an add- not human) Apparently the software that will work has a price tag of about £250.00 and if this is the only one of their range that will work, then why sell the others to people who haven't got £250 to spare but are hoping to make their lives a little easier but spending money on the cheaper programmes? Or should that be 'wasting' money on cheaper programmes'?
Unless someone comes up with something in the next 24 hours, this goes back to amazon first thing in the morning. I am 70 now and sadly I don't have enough life left to mess about trying to get things to work!

Since I wrote this review, I had a notification from Nuance that there was an update waiting for me. This was as soon as I opened up my computer, and before I'd even opened chrome or anything, I clicked on the update thinking it was in reply to my review. It wasn't, it was a bug, and a bad one at that. The thing is, with this Dragon Naturally Speaking, you got a bar across the top of your screen. The notification of this update came in from one side of my screen but in order to open it, I went to their bar and from a drop down list, selected, 'Messages or updates'. So this was internal, it did not come from a third party, this was directly from the Dragon Naturally Speaking bar at the top of my screen. Luckily, I have a years subscription to Microsoft remote assistance and they confirmed that there was a particularly nasty virus present. However, it then took them 3 hours to get my computer back to normal.
I am not technically minded enough to understand where and how viruses behave but I do understand logic and if there is a pile of dog crap in a corner of a room, and there is only one dog in the room then logic says that that crap once belonged inside that dog. This virus hitched a ride on an update belonging to Nuance...I will say no more.

Worst customer service ever. Voice Dictation Software and Ear Piece has needed replacement over 3 months but they dont return emails. When they do, they ask the same questions again.

I purchased voice dictation software from them about 6 months ago. I purchase their special ear piece about a moth later. It worked for a while but the ear piece disconnects about every 15 minutes. I called after 2 months of emails and calls back and forth, they final sent a used replacement. It didn't work. I let them know 3 weeks ago the replacement didn't work. They just keep asking the same questions over and over by email. They take days or weeks to respond. They never apologize, I have sat by the phone for them to call me 3 times for a block of 3 hours each time but they don't call me to resolve this. I email 4 times a week they respond 1 time a week with the same repeated questions.
