I have had such an amazing experience dealing with Alexis at Octoparse during my free trial. She was patient and provided the guidance and support we needed for the project we had. I loved the experience so much, I had a custom template created and signed up for a monthly subscription.

They tried to pay me to write a 5-star review. After gotten help with a support question they wrote this in the chat: "We are currently inviting users to write a 5-star review for us on Trust Pilot, and as a thank you, you can receive an extra 15 days on your Basic Plan. Would you be interested in this offer?"
I was very offended that they tried to do this to manipulate their TrustPilot score. A serious company with a great product would not need to do this. A clear red flag.

When it comes to the product I think it is an OK product, definitely not great. There are things that cause friction when doing even simple webscraping. It easily mess up and I would have thought by now that it would be "smarter" and find the right data even if there are some small deviations between pages.
Whenever you work with loops it get tricky very fast and pagination is not very intuitive. You have to learn by trial and error and make adjustments often. It is way to 'sensitive' and error-prone and I rarely get all the data I need.

I’ve been using Octoparse for data extraction and lead generation, and overall, it’s a helpful tool. The best part is that it doesn’t require coding, and once you get used to it, the interface is quite manageable.

However, credit usage can be a concern, especially for large projects or when dealing with duplicates.

Overall, it’s a good option for non-technical users who need web scraping.

They charged me $119 even though I only tried it once and it DIDNT work. Then they refused to refund me and sent a snarky response. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. AVOID OCTOPARSE AT ALL COSTS.

I've been using Octoparse for my personal projects. I've signed up with the 14-day standard trial and the experience has been great so far. There are bunch of templates you could use to scrape data. I'm using Twitter Scraper which costs $0.3/1000 lines. There are several ways you can earn free credits in order to pay for templates - mine is through completing "Beginner Checklist" where there are tasks for you to do as parts of on-boarding process. I had once encountered a free credit issue but the service team helped me very well.

I will give an update on this review after finishing the free trial.

Perfect tool. It does what it says it does. But the best part is the service from the team. I even shared my project and they made me an online tutorial to help me out with my project. A 15 day project finished in 1 1/2 hours. Thank you Yina and all the Octoparse team.

I have used this product for about a month. Overall, it is very helpful for supporting the web scraping tasks needed for my research. The most valuable feature is that there is always someone available to help answer specific questions and solve problems. I would definitely recommend this product!

I discovered Octoparse while looking for a better way to scrape large amounts of web data. After trying manual methods and basic tools, Octoparse stood out as the most powerful and time-saving option. It’s accurate, flexible, and easy to use, even for small or personal projects. The support team was also incredibly responsive. Special thanks to Alexis for quickly solving an issue that saved me hours. I wish I’d found this tool years ago and I’m now planning to use it for more projects.

Perte de temps et arnaque, j'ai passé plusieurs heures à scraper en utilisant un modèle alors qu'il est bien écrit en toutes lettres que c'est un modèle gratuit et après avoir laissé scrapper pendant 6 heures et ayant rendu mon ordi inutilisable pendant ce temps-là. On me demande de payer à la fin pour exporter les données. Dites-l'avant que c'est payant et non pas "sans frais" !!!

Useless. Nothing is free without signing up and adding in your card details. I expected to be able to test one download to make sure it gave me what I wanted, but you don't even get that. Ironically leaving a review here given it's a screen scraping tool that has a Trustpilot template.

I tested Octoparse briefly for a small project. The tool itself worked well. I hope to use it again in the near future. Also, when I had a billing concern after the trial period, support was very responsive and worked with me to resolve it quickly. I appreciate the help from their team.

The Octoparse team has always been responsive! From the chatbot when I start to bring up my issue, up to the agent Yina who is always willing to guide me step by step in addressing my task concerns. As a newbie in data scraping, I find their Help Center to be relevant and practical to use.

Octoparse was a big help for my university assignment. The free trial gave me enough access to build and run a scraper successfully and export the results for analysis. I especially liked the visual workflow, the ability to select elements on the page, handle pagination, and structure the extracted data cleanly. Exporting the data was straightforward and made it easy to complete our deliverables.

There is a learning curve at the start, but once you understand the steps, it’s a capable tool for web data extraction. Overall, a solid experience and I’d recommend it for students and beginners who need a no-code way to scrape data.

Yina was incredible! She was able to quickly understand my issue and helped me understand how to fix it within 30 minutes, everything is working as intended now!

Octoparse gets the job done. They are very responsive, and understand my requirements. They have always provided specific specific guidance to solve my problems with tasks I've created ... for example, "please try to switch the IP pool to US for these tasks", accompanied by a marked up graphic that showed me exactly what to do.
