They charge an annual fee even if you used them once and then hang up when you call the number on their page to cancel subscription and there are not contact details. Tantamount to theft!

Customer service totally bad because different agents gives different information every times, on the other hand they complicated the process of buying ticket as my is being cancelled by airlines but they give me refund after discounts price where is legal that I would get full amount of money but they use of tricks and take the money from the ticket, eprime also have the same kind of problems, it’s really surprising that both of the compnay of a same platform.

I joined Opodo Prime in good faith..... utter shambles. They have links with known companies, according to my bank based in Cyprus, who carry out fraudulent activities. This was discovered by me when a company tried to take unauthorised money from my bank. So sadly what I thought was a great company is simply not. Avoid at all costs.

I strongly advise people to avoid Opodo Prime. I was charged without being aware I signed up to a Prime Subscription and when I contacted customer service immediately to request a refund, they refused to help.

This feels like a company that relies on customers forgetting they signed up, rather than earning repeat business through good service. The cancellation process is frustrating, the customer support was dismissive, and there was no willingness to resolve the issue fairly, despite the charge being taken unexpectedly.

A company that values its customers should be transparent about renewals and offer reasonable refunds in situations like this. Instead, I was left feeling misled and out of pocket.

I will never use Opodo again and will be warning friends and family to stay well away. There are plenty of other travel companies that treat their customers with far more respect. Extremely disappointing.

I would strongly advise people to avoid Opodo and carefully check whether they have been signed up for an Opodo Prime membership.

This first happened to me last year. Opodo charged me £89.99 for a Prime membership that I did not realise was active. I called them, explained the situation, and they cancelled the membership but only refunded half of the payment.

Now, one year later, they have charged me another £89.99. This time, they claimed that I had another Prime membership registered under a different email address. That email address belonged to a company I previously did freelance work for and is no longer an account I use. However, my bank card was apparently still connected to it, so Opodo took another annual membership payment from the same card.

Once again, I contacted them immediately. Once again, they agreed to refund only half.

So, across two years, I have been charged twice for memberships linked to two different email addresses, despite already contacting them about the same issue last year. Instead of investigating properly and refunding the full unauthorised charge, they have kept part of my money on both occasions.

In my experience, the Prime subscription process is not transparent enough, the renewal charges are not communicated clearly, and customer service seems more interested in offering partial refunds than resolving the problem fairly.

A cheap-looking travel ticket is not worth the risk of unexpected £89.99 membership charges appearing months later. Check every email address you may have used with Opodo, check your bank statements, and remove your payment details.

I will now be making formal complaints and considering legal action to recover the remaining money.

Do not use this company. Last year I asked them to cancel my subscription for this year as it was too late to do so then. They agreed to, but have just swiped £89 out of my account and refused to refund it. Their claims to be able to find excellent flight deals are absolute rubbish. This is a scam - do not join up!

Con, awful experience on two separate trips.
First one was trying to get a bike on the same flight.
I then tried to book another trip, because I'd paid for prime. Booking experience wasted hours, was unsuccessful, website failed repeatedly, not cheapest flights, and prices rose during the process.
Now trying to cancel Prime, currently an unsuccessful and painful, timewasting process, AVOID

Do not subscribe to Opodo Prime — getting a full refund is almost impossible

I would strongly advise people to avoid Opodo Prime.

I originally booked a flight to New York through Opodo in 2024 and was later charged for a Prime subscription that I do not remember knowingly agreeing to. When I contacted customer service, I made it very clear that I did not want the subscription or any free trial. I only wanted my money refunded and the membership cancelled.

Despite this, I was only offered a partial refund, with the rest being replaced by a so-called free subscription period that I specifically said I did not want. The agent assured me that my request would be handled, so I believed the issue had been resolved.

However, this year I was charged another £90, even though I had already explained the previous year that I wanted nothing more to do with the subscription.

When I contacted them again, they still refused to provide a full refund. I was told I could either accept approximately 45–50% of my money back or keep the subscription. I repeatedly explained that I did not want the subscription and had no plans to use the service, but they continued to insist that these were my only options.

They also told me I would have to wait up to a week for them to review my previous phone call, even though the situation should already have been recorded on my account. When I accepted the partial-refund option and asked them to cancel the subscription for me, they refused and told me I had to cancel it myself.

They claimed the subscription needed to remain active until the refund was processed to keep my account open, which made no sense because cancelling a subscription does not delete the actual Opodo account.

The entire process has been unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming and frustrating. I should not have to fight repeatedly for my own money after already telling them that I did not consent to continuing the membership.

I do not recommend Opodo Prime. Be extremely careful when booking through this website, as cancelling the subscription and receiving a full refund appears to be deliberately difficult.

Auch ich gehöre zu den Prime Geschädigten, die trotz fristgerechtem Widerruf keine Rückerstattung des Mitgliedsbeitrages erhalten haben. Der Abschluss der Prime Mitgliedschaft im Zusammenhang mit einer Buchung ist wahrscheinlich sogar ungültig. Ich werde mich der bevorstehenden Sammelklage anschließen.

Your last minute Prime declination surcharge is a rip off and should be illegal if it is not already so.

Very shoddy business practices, no notification of annual renewal and no option for a refund if you have missed the 14 cut off. It does not appear on Apple Subscriptions of your phone, so you actually have to google how to cancel it and make a call. I spent over $500 (AUD) for a $100 discount on a flight in 2023. I know it was my fault but their practices are quite deceitful.

Le 20 mai 2026, j'ai réservé un billet d'avion (référence 25084350582) pour un montant de 213,55 €. La réservation a été confirmée et le paiement a été correctement débité.
Le lendemain, sans aucune action de ma part, j'ai reçu un e-mail m'informant que j'étais désormais abonné à Opodo Prime, au motif que j'aurais déjà bénéficié d'un essai gratuit quelques mois auparavant. Je n'ai jamais donné un consentement libre, explicite et éclairé à la souscription d'un abonnement annuel.
Malgré cela, 131,88 € ont été prélevés sur mon compte bancaire le 25 mai 2026.
Le plus grave est que d'autres prélèvements ont ensuite continué à apparaître, sans la moindre explication, sans facture et sans aucune autorisation de ma part :
Au total, 1 982,61 MAD (environ 190 €) ont été prélevés sans justification.

Le 23 mai 2026, j'ai demandé la résiliation immédiate de cet abonnement ainsi que le remboursement intégral des sommes indûment prélevées (RETRACTATION) conformément aux lois de consommations. Malgré de nombreuses relances, le service client s'est contenté de réponses automatiques et n'a jamais répondu sur le point essentiel : où est la preuve de mon consentement ?
Aucune facture n'a été fournie pour plusieurs prélèvements et aucune justification sérieuse ne m'a été communiquée.
Je considère cette pratique comme extrêmement préoccupante. En vertu de la réglementation européenne sur les droits des consommateurs, aucun abonnement payant ne peut être activé ni facturé sans le consentement explicite du client.
Après plusieurs semaines de démarches infructueuses, je suis contraint d'engager des recours auprès des autorités compétentes, de ma banque et des organismes de protection des consommateurs.
J'ai déja déposé plainte auprès de la commission européenne ( ECCFR-140431 ) et signaler cela auprès de SignalCONSO ( Gouv français), et j'engagerai un avocat pour déposer plainte auprès des autorités compétentes.

La morale de l'histoire, n'entrez jammais votre carte bancaire sur le site d'OPODO ou GOVOYAGES, vous serez condamnés à etre prélevés à vie...et vous n'arriverez meme pas à supprimer votre carte des méthodes de paiements...

Je cherche des cas similaires pour engager une action groupée en justice.

Got to the airport and was told that I didn’t have luggage on my flight even though my booking confirmation clearly stated that I did. I called Opodo and was told my only option was to pay the £467 and they would refund me. I had to do this for both the outbound and return flights so over £900. Meaning I had £900 less for my holiday. It’s been over 2 weeks now and I’ve still not had the money back. I was given a prime membership as a form of compensation but that’s an absolute joke. VIP customer service, yet no one answers the phone and you wait listening to a robot tell you the benefits of the service you already apparently have.

I was told my refund would take 10 working days. Still nothing. Then after a call, that it would be tomorrow. Again nothing. Now I’ve been told I have to wait 72 hours as the refund hasnt been approved yet.

I’d avoid using Opodo at all costs, non existent customer service, and no real apology or responsibility taken for ruining my flights and holiday.

Its now been a month and i still haven't got my money, just pointless emails telling me "they're working on it"

Opodo Prime offers discounted hotels and flights for an annual membership fee.

So far I have three problems:
1) They often do not include the cheapest airlines or hotel chains meaning their discounted rooms or tickets are dearer than others available without the membership.
2) On occassion I've found some brands, such as Premier Inn, more expensive via Opodo than when booked elsewhere.
3) On a recent trip I received notice from Opodo that they had changed my return flight times at the request of the airline. They subsequently used this change as an excuse to decline(steal?) my cashback from topcashback.co.uk

Waste of time and money.

I originally became a member to benefit from a discounted return flight from London to La Rochelle. Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to do so and had to resign myself to booking directly with the airline.

When I called to cancel my membership, I was offered a discount and a voucher as an incentive to stay. Fair enough, I thought — particularly as I was told the initial technical issue could have been resolved simply by calling their customer service. I decided to give them another chance.

The real nightmare began when I tried to book and pay for four return flights abroad. The moment any issue arises, you are passed from one agent to the next, each with little expertise or authority to actually resolve anything. The website and the app appear to operate entirely independently of one another. It took an exhausting phone call just to clear an error message generated by my frozen fare.

Despite repeated confirmations and reassurances, I was still unable to use the voucher they had sent me — leading to another call of two and a half hours, no fewer than twelve agents, and the same weary ritual of retelling my entire story from scratch each time. Kafkaesque barely covers it.

The final irony? I could have booked the same flights directly with the airlines for the same price, or less. Needless to say, I have now cancelled my subscription.

I have just had £90 taken from my bank by opodo I called them and was told it was for joining Opodo prime after booking a flight a year ago. I didn’t agree to this as I fly once a year so it would be pointless after being put through to an Indian call centre I explained this and was told I would be called back within an hour. It’s been 5 days now and nothing so I was lied to . I called my bank as was told they can’t cancel the payment or any more they want to take as it is a recurring payment. So now they can charge me this every year. The only way I can stop this is by closing my bank account that I have had for over 40 years. I don’t normally write reviews but thought I should to warn others so be very careful booking anything through opodo and get everything in writing

I booked a flight with opodo that was offered at a discounted price if I opt in to their prime-plus subscription. I did opt in to the subscription as there was a very clear clause in their T&C that I can cancel the subscription with the first 15 days by their stated email(among other methods) without incurring any extra charges. They charged my credit card for both the flight and the prime subscription in a single transaction. I did boarded the flight. On the second day of the 15-day cancellation time window I sent them an email to cancel my subscription. The email should have been sufficient to express my intent, but they insisted that I call an international phone number. I didn't. They didn't process my cancellation; neither did they issue a refund of my subscription. I filed a dispute with payPal(which I paid through) and later with American express(my credit card issuer) to no avail. As I was just asking for a partial refund of the transaction(the part related to the subscription but not the flight), opodo always cunningly replied with the argument about the part that was fulfilled and consumed(the flight) and consequently successfully evaded the chargeback dispute.
They're Gods and above the law; they're the new untouchables.

I would rate this below one star if i could. Absolute rip off where they enrol you into a membership by tricking you into booking a flight. They then charge you the full amount for the unwanted membership. This is a get rich quick scheme
