This is a response to the many comments below from employees who clearly don't understand the process. Firstly when a company makes referral to an occupational health provider they sign a form completed by the referring company, usually HR or manager, relating to the process and agreeing to a report being sent to the employer following the consultation. Occupational health providers are not under the same rules as GPs sending out clinical information about their patients but an employee does have the right to see a report before it goes to an employer or refuse its release. But some companies include clauses in employment contracts about compliance with such as occupational health. There are massive time constraints on those carrying out the assessments and they have a lot to get through in a very limited time. Occupational health providers are under enormous pressure from the companies that engage their services. There are many employees who see occupational health as a way to get what they want irrespective of validity.
To virtually all the comments here; read what you sign prior to any consultation as your company does have the right to end your employment if you disagree with any contractual commitment.
I would totally agree with all the above statements, donât listen to what you have to say and criticise you and your comments. Unprofessional ways of testing your abilities. Absolutely waste of time and money .

Optima Health ããã®åç
I have been put on work restrictions from driving a forklift due to the assessors blood pressure cuff being too small for my arm thus giving stupidly high blood pressure readings. Iâve been to my gp 3 times and readings are fine but no optima health wonât believe this, Iâm now on the sick due to stress caused by these idiots! Meant to look after peoples health but have turned mine upside down.

Optima Health ããã®åç
I am a type 1 diabetic and have to renew my driving licence every 3 years, and my C1 entitlement every year, my employer uses Optima and asked me to have an appointment. After a 15 minute phone call the practitioner came to the conclusion I was unfit to work on my own or drive. I obviously disagreed with the decision but as I was new to the company I didnât kick up a fuss and agreed to all of Optimaâs requests for my medical records from my GP and consultant. Once they had all this information another appointment was arranged. Still the practitioner is telling my company I cannot drive or work alone which is now severely jeopardising my employment. I argued that the DVLA and their consultant who had actually seen 9 weeks of my blood sugar readings was happy with me and had authorised my licence, my own consultant and GP are happy with my daily management. The worst experience Iâve ever had with any health care professional.
This company is the new occupational health provider for my employer. I had an appointment with a previous provider a few months ago and that was a very good appointment. Unfortunately my employer has now gone with this company and I will never ever agree to an occupational health appointment as long as they have a contract. The nurse who spoke to me on my appointment day was hostile, and made some racist statements. I was pretty upset. At some point I told her I wasn't comfortable going forward with the call, and she ignored me and proceeded to yell at me before threatening to file a complaint against me to my employer which she has now done. I filed a complaint against her too and company promised to investigate but came back and said calls are nor recorded so they cannot confirm or deny, but can assure me all their employees go through sensitivity training. Coming to trust pilot and seeing the number of negative reviews has made me feel better as I know its not me , its the company.
Do not use!!!
Never paid for work done
Passed from pillar to post when emailing and phoning to get remuneration for work done.
My experience working there was interesting.
My colleagues were amazing, but management does not know how to manage effectively or competently, in my view. Think twice before applying.
I work in a warehouse. A few months ago I had an occupational healthcare meeting with one of optimaâs âqualifiedâ physio docs. He told me there is nothing sinister and itâs probably strained ligaments in both knees and should take up to 6 weeks to heal. Few months later I get an Xray and find I have osteophytes in both knee joints. I send the medical notes from the xray back and optima refuse to see me again because it wonât change the outcome of the first meeting. Is there any point companies hiring them to do the occupational health care when they are not even qualified to search google when they donât know why something is?
They are a disgusting company who dismiss disabilities, for company benefit. They donât follow the letter of the law and discriminate consistently unless you are severely disabled.
I also have back problem which got dismissed which has since caused my knee problems because of the way I carry myself after long shifts.
I had a voicemail message left, 'this is Optima Health, please call us back on xxx'. I have never heard of them and don't know why they were calling me so I ignored it. Now I have had an abrupt, barely legible voicemail from them telling me they have made a telephone appointment for me. I still don't know who the hell they are and I am not psychic so I can say for sure that their communication skills are severely lacking. I won't be attending an appointment that an organisation has taken it upon themselves to make for me when I do not know who they are or why they are contacting me.
I would give 0 if there was an option.
I had an assessment, the assessor didn't listen to me at all. They had clearly not read my file, they had no understanding of my needs and therefore cannot make any recommendations.
I couldn't complete the portal registration due to my details not being recognised. I notified Optima and had a step by step guide via the tech assistant. Unfortunately even though I followed that advice I still couldn't complete the portal registration and therefore couldn't access my account, I couldn't read my ohu report and I couldn't give my consent for it to be sent to my employer.
I contacted optima 11 times, 7 emails and 4 voicrmails(the phone line went straight to voicemail). I had 1 response from the tech assistant but none when I explained that I still couldn't access the portal.
Needless to say my ohu report was sent out to my employer without my consent.
This is the 3rd time I have had problems registering my portal account.
I shall be making a formal complaint and looking into legal action because this is completely unacceptable.
I would never recommend Optima in any capacity.
This company has made me feel........ multiple times.
I had a telephone appointment made with Optima Health. They phoned to cancel and rearrange another. I agreed to the new appointment which never came and after an hour of hanging around, phoned them to see if they were still going to phone. The receptionist at the helpdesk wasn't able to help.
I contacted my employers (MOD) to let them know what level of service OH is providing. No further telephone appointments have been made.
They released my medical records and report without my consent to my employer, therefore I did complaint about this breach and I did made a complaint in court because this is a criminal offence.
I was referred to this company for a pre-employment medical which I attended and was advised to see my GP concerning 2 issues which I did the day after my medical now they are making me wait 2 weeks just for a telephone consultation with optima health Dr I have asked them to bring my consultation forward but they won't and for someone wanting to return to work i can't has I don't know if I have passed my medical and can't start my training
Extremely unprofessional
They think you will heal with a miracle.
Extremely poor communication don't listen to anything you saying as they already have an answer
Discriminate against those who are disabled, I was contacted to have a hep jab requested by my employer.
I was rang by optima health stating the nearest was 3 hours away by train! Oh and to add at my expense! Firstly I'm disabled I cannot do that. But got the reply " so you won't?" NO I CANT! They would not facilitate me and my needs. Then I was told well to get a jab closer I'd need to pay?! Absolutely not.
I made a complaint and was informed by the complaints handler that this did not and would not happen, my reply was well you've clearly not reviewed the call then. And now have had nothing back.
Poor Occupational Health service in terms of assessment experience and report standards. Report was inaccurate as there were omissions re key biopsychosocial factors which are fundamental when considering a return to work. Outcome - meaningless report recommendations so little utility in the report being shared as a tool to support with communicating a persons ongoing needs to their employer.
My recommendations:
1. For the assessor to actually listen and record accurately and completely what was articulated.
2. Please may I also highlight that an assessor sharing her own homeworking situation and relating this to an individualâs return to work is completely inappropriate as there is no like for like given a personâs particular needs!
3. For a report to have meaningful utility, parity of esteem re mental and physical health descriptions should not have to be justified or brought to the attention of the assessor to correct! Pay attention to key biopsychosocial factors which are shared with you such as mobility and pain levels/pattern following injury, impact on driving (when this is essential for a personâs employment) and impact on carer responsibilities.
4. Additional recommendations would be for clear communication re complaints process as one communication has advised that âcase closedâ following a email trail but another has provided separate info re complaints process.
Any decisions those *doctors* make are in the favour of Amazon only.
LCY2 - Olivia-Andreea Scurtu
They made an appointment I did not agree to, or ask for. Ignored my request to cancel it, and "reported me to my manager" when I did not attend.
D not disclose confidential information to these parasites.
Very poor service, with unprofessional physiotherapist (working for Amazon, LCY2). They disagree with any doctor's fit notes, saying its their right to have a different opinion. Their ignorance is dangerous to our health. In their opinion "pain is not a barrier to work". Stay away.
