Disappointed With Lack of Variety and No Response to Feedback
I subscribed to Origin’s rotating coffee subscription specifically to experience variety and try new or specialty releases as they became available.
Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. I repeatedly received the same two coffees with very little variation, despite newer coffees and special releases appearing to be available.
I sent what I felt was a polite and constructive email raising this feedback, but never received any response or even an acknowledgement, which was equally disappointing. Good customer service is often about communication, even if a solution cannot be offered immediately.
It’s a shame, as I’ve generally liked the brand and the coffee itself, but the lack of variety combined with the lack of response has left me considering trying another subscription elsewhere.

Their shipping isn’t great order confirmed on Monday and Thursday still hasn’t shipped! The coffee is decent but can be inconsistent. Have been using them for some time but you have to allow a week before you run out which means constant orders every two weeks just because they can’t ship on time! Will be looking to an alternative roaster.

Tasted stale
Ordered a 1kg bag of resolute beans on 13th January and began using them 7 days after delivery, the first couple of days of using, the coffee tasted great, but then started to taste stale and also noticed no aroma to the beans. It didn't even taste of coffee as an espresso or a flat white. We have a lot of beans left which we won't use as it just doesn't taste right now. We keep all our beans in an airtight coffee storage container so that they stay fresh and haven't experienced this issue with other brands. We cancelled the subscription on 25th January.

Brilliant service and great coffee
Having subscribed to a number of other roasters with mixed results I thought I’d give Origin a go.
I ordered a bag of Pathfinder which arrived 48 hours later. After tinkering with the grind for a few goes I had exceptional coffee. Espresso is sweet and fruity and absolutely delicious. For the first time in ages I can’t wait to get grinding as soon as I’m awake.
Highly recommended.

I mistakenly opened a subscription when ordering extra coffee, the customer service in replying was exceptionally quick to resolve what was my mistake. Excellent customer service and as always delicious coffee perfectly packaged and delivered. Thank you Origin, you are stars.

Im now on my 6th bag of 1kg resolute beans. I can say confidently as i bit of a coffee snob that I genuinely love this coffee. Its not acidic, its balanced and creamy and brews like silk. I have tried a few diffrent fresh coffee beans and absolutely nothing compares to origin. The subscription is super easy to use, I can get more coffee within 48hr if I run out. The customer service is also fantastic, sometimes if I have an issue applying discount codes or setting something up they respond super quickly and are extremely helpful. Highly, highly recommend!!

I genuinely value Origins Coffee as a company. I used to buy their coffee beans regularly and always found the quality outstanding. More recently, I ordered a four-pack but, due to medical reasons, had to stop drinking coffee. Even though they weren’t obligated to, the customer service team issued a refund and went above and beyond their legal responsibilities — they simply did what was right from a customer perspective.
Based on my experience with both the product and the service, I couldn’t rate them any higher. Exceptional coffee and exceptional customer care.

I think this is the best thing ever. Every coffee I have received I have enjoyed. I get a pouch, and that lasts me two weeks. I love the whole vibe of the company. I rarely leave reviews, but I suspect I will be a long term customer.

Ive got a rolling monthly subscription with origin for fresh roasted coffee beans. I use resolute whole beans, they're the best coffee beans ive tried (I have tried many). They're always sent on time, if I run out sooner I can change the date via the app and they're sent the next day. They're always packaged well and always fantastic quality! I haven't stepped foot in a coffee shop since using these beans. Highly recommend!!

Great customer service & beans
I’ve been using Origin since September 2024 and it’s been a pleasure. I have purchased one-off orders and used their subscription service. The quality of beans is always excellent and I’ve found Origin beans significantly easier to dial in compared to those I’ve purchased elsewhere (I was using Rave before). I’m here to leave a review now because I had a one-off issue with a Royal Mail delivery (the first and only issue after nearly a year) and I just want to say that it was handled extremely efficiently and generously by Maddie from Origin. I’m so impressed by the customer service and it’s absolutely cemented my dedication to continue using Origin. Thank you.

Great coffee backed by a customer focused company.
What a great company to deal with and one that has their customers at the heart of their business. Over the years, I have found so many companies who look at profit over customer experience and rely on having another customer come along so you are not valued as you will be replaced, but not with Origin. I had to change my order and this was done with simplicity and help from the customer Service advisor Maddie. I will not go in to great detail, but I was advised that my order could be changed at the last minute, but unfortunately it had already been sent. Totally my fault, but Maddie made me feel like a valued new customer an dealt with my case and went above and beyond my expectations. Great customer service and a company that truly values their customers and recognises that they are the life blood of a company. Thank you

Absolute crooks
To add to my last review I cancelled my subscription now I’ve had email saying it’s going to be dispatched absolute shambles of a company don’t order from these crooks complete disgrace. I got a mediocre reply last time after I wrote a complaint which they basically ignored all my points now this trying to charge for something I cancelled over a month ago

Delivery times are extremely slow
When all companies can despatch same day these days their service is extremely slow, purchased a french press in the morning of day 1, only despatched day 2 and will only be delivered day 3. And this is with paying £5 for 24 HR service
Almost all companies will despatch the same day (at a certain cut off time) and then deliver day 2. Advertising free delivery over a certain amount and then offering ,48 hours will become a 4/5 day wait. Laughable.

Coffee is coming via 48 HR according to my invoice (so it's irrelevant) and french press which isn't coffee is still going to take far longer than expected
