Went on a trip (self guided) with Adventure Motorcycles Ireland, Overlanders.ie
first time this year Aug-sept. Shipped bike and gear to Budapest. From the frst contact back in Oct 2024 I can honestly say the experience was top notch. Very clear correspondence, great service, pleasure to deal with the team, very efficient and reasonably costed trip. Very fast hand over in Irl & Budapest. all round good experience. the lads david & Darren have a wealth on knowledge and are very willing to share it freely.

Tip Top services at AMI

I have had many Bikes over the yrs and the lads in Ami parts and workshop Ciaran + Aron are top of there game and Garry in sales i always leave happy knowing my bike is getting the Best Care +Service.i trust them 1000% . Every time I ask a question its answered straight away or next day .Carlsburg don't do bike services but if they did it wud be with AMI. Vincent savage

Everything for the bike and biker

The lads looked after my bike's servicing, kept in touch throughout and understood when a date had to change. They also were able to obtain parts as required, were patient and took the time to explain everything as necessary.

Extremely poor customer service and


Extremely poor customer service and disappointing experience.

Booked my bike in for a service, requesting the following work
Oil filter, New oil, Air filter, new oil in final drive, new brake pads, fix LED bulb and fix DIN socket. I was told it would take 1.5hr to 2hr. I asked if it was okay to wait around, I was told certainly, most welcome to wait. Having dropped in the bike the following week at 930am. I decided to walk to a coffee shop in town and wait. 3hrs later I hadn't heard anything, so I rang and enquired as to an update on the bike. I was told it was currently being worked on and they would ring me when it was ready. At 2pm, 4.5hrs after dropping the bike in for a 2hr job I decided to walk back to the shop. Apon my arrival I was told that the bike was still being worked on and that the air filter was the next job and it would take another 2 hrs. I told them to cancel the air filter as I couldn't wait another 2hrs. Now I expected to receive the bike shortly after this, since they had the bike for the last 5hrs. Unfortunately I was left standing in the shop for another 2 hours before the bike was ready. During my time pacing around the shop, no staff member ever apologised for the delay. I wasn't offered a cup of tea or coffee, not even a seat to sit on. So overall they had my bike from 930am until 415pm and one of the jobs on my initial list wasn't done and according to them it would take a further 2hrs for this to be done.
I understand that some jobs don't always go to plan and things can get delayed and people can be under pressure. But in these situations being honest with the customer is the best option. I shouldn't have been told the work would take 2hrs to complete. And if the air filter was going to take 2hrs alone, then I should have been told to come back the next day and collect the bike. This might have been a 5 star review then, as the mechanic work that was completed seems a good job. Perhaps some staff training on how long workshop tasks take and staff training on dealing with customers more appropriately when things aren't going according to the schedule and expectations outlined at the outset. I was charged €500 with no discount or apologies, and frankly I won't be returning for any further works.

Hi John,

Many thanks for your business and feedback. We sincerely apologise with regard to mis-quoting estimated time and not keeping you informed of the various issues encountered.

To clarify some reasons for delay and extra time:
• Front wheel bearing gone needing replacement.
• Front brake calliper pistons corroded and seized. Pistons could not be pushed back, to fit new pads, without damaging calliper seals. Callipers were cleaned and restored to working order.
• Over 1hr and a half spent tracing and fixing DIN and headlight issue (due to corrosion). Panels removed and re-installed etc.
The above are obviously very serious safety concerns which we addressed. This could not have been anticipated when quoting an estimated time.

Furthermore, we would like to clarify that you received a discount of €91.81 from the total bill and that there is a customer area with tea/coffee/snacks available for all customers.
