Claims "Free Next Day Delivery


UPDATE...After reporting to PayPal by opening a case, I was contacted by customer service and the order was resent, arriving 2 days later. The issue was caused by PackingBoxes sending my order in 2 parcels with duplicate consignment numbers which was (rightly) stopped by Yodel to prevent fraud/delivery of a duplicate parcel.
INITIAL REVIEW...Website claims "Free Next Day Delivery on orders over £45"
My order was £118, ordered 2 weeks ago and still have not arrived. I contacted customer support after 7 days who said the order was waiting at the courier depot and would be dispatched the next day. 7 more days later and the order has not arrived. Thankfully paid by PayPal so can make a chargeback claim.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The company must be bogus. I have completed 3 customer service tickets and left voicemails. Spoken to 2 people out of at least 10 calls. We are desperate to pack and moving on Monday. £230 down the delivery company they claim to use Tufnalls is non longer in use. No refund offered I asked for one on the phone and the chap said he will pass my details on. How people manage to trade like this is a disgrace.

Avoid at all cost!

Packingboxes.co.uk, also known as Wanna Ltd, delivers incomplete products – essentially flat cardboard sheets that require gluing to form boxes yourself. They provide low-quality brown tape instead of the expected printed tape we ordered, along with incorrectly sized bubble wraps. Additionally, they did not bother to notify us that most of our ordered items will not be delivered, yet they charged us the full amount.

Arrived promptly and as described

I am surprised at the experiences of others, as I ordered late on Thursday and got notification of dispatch on Friday.
As delivery was to my office address I noted on the delivery instructions that delivery could only be Monday to Friday. I was notified by email of Tuffnell’s delivery on Monday, and the boxes orders arrived before lunchtime.
The tracking does not work on Tuffnell’s website, but the email was sufficient to confirm the date of delivery.
I am pleased with my order and would use again.

Item never arrived, refund never issued

I ordered an item (bubble wrap) on 29 January and paid for next-day delivery. The item did not arrive the next day. I called them to ask for an update and the customer service told me that the item I ordered is not in stock! (there was still a huge green icon "IN STOCK" on the item's page online). They offered to send a replacement again with next-day delivery which I reluctantly accepted. One more day passed and still no parcel arrived. I called them again and asked them to cancel the order and issue a refund. It's now 5 February and I haven't received any refund or any communications about that yet.
Why do items show as "in stock" when they are not in stock?? Because of this failure, I had to eventually pay triple the price for bubble wrap from a different vendor because of the time constraints I was facing.

Arrived 8 Days Late and Only Received Half the Order

I ordered some wardrobe boxes and 40 budget packing boxes for a house move on 20th January.

Our estimated delivery time was the 23rd of January.

I received the wardrobe boxes on the 31st of January, but the 40 packing boxes were not included. I can understand a day or two outside the estimated delivery window, but not eight days!

The delivery tracking is awful as well. Through Tuffnels, the tracking system doesn't work. You enter your details, and the system hangs.

Now my order is saying it is complete even though I haven't received my items. I tried ringing their customer service number but could never get through.

I emailed them on 1st of February, but have still not had a response.

I have had no choice, but to order boxes elsewhere and request a chargeback on the items not delivered.

Disappointing from the start. Should have just gone to Ikea or B&Q

Incompetent people working there and use an incompetent courier. Placed my order Wednesday last week, never received a confirmation email. Managed to speak to someone Thursday who told me the order would me with me that day. Didn’t arrive. Spoke to someone else Friday who told me they couldn’t find the order on the system. Magically received an email confirmation of the order after that phone call, still stating next day delivery. Order did not arrive over the weekend or Monday. Had a text from Tuffnells Shift on Tuesday to say they had my order and would send another with delivery date and time. Spoke again on Wednesday with someone apologising for the lateness and that they would try to get a hold of the courier and update me. Called back around 1600 as I still hadn’t heard anything and the lady told me they would expedite another shipment to be with me Thursday (today). Just spoke to the same lady to ask for the updated shipping info only to be told they hadn’t shipped yesterday so wouldn’t be with me until tomorrow (Friday), not today as promised. Have to be out of the house by Friday so this should be very interesting. Get a reliable courier! People don’t buy packing boxes on a whim, they do it because they need them quickly.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Promises next day delivery (“though this isn’t guaranteed” in small print) on the website, but a week later and order was still on hold. Infuriating! Contacted company via email for a refund, as I’ll need to source boxes elsewhere for an imminent move, to be told this
 “I have checked your order I don't think the payment has been received. We will of course check with the Accounts Department so we can issue a refund if the payment was received”. This is somewhat patronising, given that the payment is taken immediately, I received a confirmation email from the company and it is as clear as day on my credit card statement as proof. If you want a relatively stress free move, you’ll do yourself a favour if you avoid this company at all costs! If I’ve not heard anything by the end of the week, I’ll be filing a report with trading standards.
