Ignorant and incompetent after sales.
Contacted Honda Service regarding a Safety Recall to be told they cannot book me in and they cannot accept a booking untill August. When I asked to book me on August, I was told to call back in June as August is full. This not making sense the cheeky phone attendant put the phone down on me. I have bought several cars from this group but that is the last. After sales with Parks Honda is abysmal. Stay clear of this franchise.
Incompetent or dishonest, your choice
2 weeks after a full service I had a blow out on the motorway. RAC said the tyre was damaged for months and my tracking was off. The service department should have noticed it. Also my brakes were needing done, once again Kia Coatbridge didnât seem to notice it, no advisory or anything. They are either incompetent or are just taking the money and not actually servicing my car. Thats the second time I have found them to be lacking, there will not be a third time.

Do NOT buy a car from here. Bought a new Kia Picanto at £15k and it went faulty after a few days. Talked into buying another one with another one with another £4k additional payment and its been nothing but trouble. Taken it back several times and all they do is stick it on a diagnostic machine, haven't a clue.
Dont bother complaining on here all you will get is to contact them then you never hear anything back.

18 months of lies from service managerâŠ
18 months of lies from service manager at Parks Coatbridge. In Oct 2023 a replacement part was ordered for our car (under warranty). For 6 months I phoned to enquire about the part to be told it was on order and I would be called when it was in stock. Eventually I asked for this to be looked into further to be advised that the part was infact never ordered 6 months previously and I had been lied to for 6 months waiting on a part that wasn't ordered. The parts manager then assured me we were in the priority list and would again be called when the part arrived. In Aug 2024 we went to the branch in person to enquire about the part to again be told by the parts manager we were his priority. Months passed again and I was on several occasions promised a phone call after they spoke to Mitshibishi about availability of the part. At no point did I ever recieve the promised phone call. Every single piece of correspondence with Parks was when I phoned them. Today I contacted head office to complain and within 3 hours my car was at Parks Coatbridge having the part they claim is put of stock world wide fitted to my car. This isn't a coincidence and proves Parks Coatbridge have lied to us for 18 months as they wanted to avoid fixing under warranty. Total disgrace.
My first time dealing with Parks
I was a bit wary about ordering from Parks Motor Group given the reviews here but they have been excellent. Less expensive than my local BMW dealer with very quick delivery so what's not to like? I would happily buy from them again. Thanks for the great service.

Totally dodgy MOTs
I'm about to make a very bold statement. It's not an opinion - its a cold hard truth.
Park's Motor Group, particularly Park's of Coatbridge, knowingly issue fake MOT's.
The After Sales Manager - Jim Milligan - there knows, the Group Servicing Manager - Scott Menzies - he's a charmer, when it suits him - he knows, so one would assume his bosses above him know, they all know. And they cover it up. And ask you not to report it to DVSA. And, they allegedly fix all the stuff they "missed".....completely free of charge (just in case anyone thinks they weren't accepting responsibility) Except they didn't.
I have all the photos, emails and texts to prove it all. And it's all been passed to the relevant authorities.
And, just so my anger is understood - this is the car that my 17 year old daughter was been driving about in all summer. All allegedly "fixed". Except it wasn't. And - yes a year is a long time in motoring - but 1800 miles isnt. She's been away at uni since the end of September.
One big pothole -v- a car with one of these MOTs - someones finding their loved one in a field. And I'm grateful every day that by pure luck, it wasn't us. Don't give them the opportunity to do it to someone else.

Avoid working for this company. Absolute heartless people! They donât care about you or your wellbeing. They expect you to work 44+ hours a week for 20k base salary. God forbid you ever request time offâŠtheyâll make fun of you behind your back.

Car finally went into Parks EK in 12th january ...broke down on the 5th...I thought Evan Halshaw motherwell was bad with their lack of communiction n bad service but this company takes the biscuit...very rarely call me back and i,m left in limbo with promises of regular updates by phone which never materialise...made complaints..still waiting on supervisor phoning me back for this complaint..service guy Zac promised twice to phone n keep me updated...am still waiting on his phone call from 16 days ago .
Car had faulty electrics..its only20 months old...they didnt know how to fix it so contacted renault in france...thyeve fixed a part ..now waiting on another part from france....no updates..will be going elsewhere for next car...reminds me of faulty towers which uve told them!!
Promised a service we didnt get
Purchased a brand new kia sportage at parks East kilbride from Duncan. Was led to believe at the time that 2 years free was included. When i called to arrange first service, i was told the service wasnât included in the paperwork and thereâs nothing they can do now. Duncan and the sales manager have not returned any of my calls and iâm just being ignored. To me its a typical case of salesman will say anything at the time to try get the sale through even if the free service wasnât an option at the time. More fool us for not checking the paperwork properly and confirming this was in place but we trusted that i was.
Appalling service from parts / service team
Terrible service - bought a used car that is just turned 2 years old ( bought under 8 months ago from EK)- broke down major electrical fault and was taken to parks by AA ek a week ago - since then we have phoned everyday to get an update - told to drive car ( clutch gone ) to Irvine as that is where car was brought up from - every day we have phoned to ask about a courtesy car and progress as am NHS community nurse and told someone will phone us back and they never do - appalling service and left in dark with no car - would not recommend making any purchase from this company
Threatened by the sales manager
Just had the sales manager for Parks of Hamilton Renault East Kilbride calling us threatening legal action because we put our negative experience up on reviews & social media. Everything on the reviews was the truth & we have proof. Apparently we were 'accepting' of their ridiculous offer for our car which we handed back after CONSTANT issues from the 1st week we had it. More like..... we had no option, other than keep an unsafe car which we weren't prepared to do. Wow, they really are a shocking company!! They just keep delivering that diabolical service! The sales manager basically just called to shout at us, try to belittle us & puff his chest out. They are bullies. Nasty, unhelpful & don't believe anything you say. Horrible horrible place. Oh and just to add. When we called the head office to tell them all the problems & make a complaint. The lady who took the call didn't realise she hadn't pressed mute & we heard the woman she asked what to do with this complaint "Just tell them anything to get them off the phone"
They are nice as pie when they're selling you a car which most of their good reviews are from but if there's any issues with your newly purchased car......... they are nasty & horrible!!

Parks Ayr: I would give 0 stars if I could! Customer service none existent, after having to wait 5 months to book my defender in for work covered under the warranty, 4 months later the exact same issue occurred.
So as before I dropped the car in first thing, rang numerous times after lunch to get an idea when I could pick it back up; no one available to speak to me about it, theyâre all with other customers, took my number twice, someone will ring you back asap. No phone call! So rang again, and again no one was available to speak to me regarding the work.
So I walked in, asked how long it might be (not a single customer in, and still no one to return my call!) was told to my face that theyâre working on my car as we speak: no theyâre not, Iâve just walked past my car and itâs not moved all day, itâs now 3.30pm! I can not stand being lied to my face!
This is not the first time Iâve experienced poor customer service from this place, last time I was in I asked about buying a new car, I was told very dismissively to âlook on lineâ
As Iâm writing this, thereâs another couple of customers obviously receiving the same level of poor service I am, this is clearly an area that needs huge improvement!
The past 20 years Iâve always landrovers, wonât be buying another car from them!!

If I could give a no star review I would!!! Sold us a faulty unsafe car constant issues from first week of having it. Engine management light, suspension problems, car cuts out while driving.
Refused us a refund within the first 30 days when we asked, told us we couldnt do that. Then after owning the car for 3 months of which Parks has had it for 6 of those weeks, it has more issues.
We finally Told them we've had enough & want our money back but they are offering to take it back for £2500 less than we bought it. We've been patronised by the staff, treated as if we are stupid. They try to make it out as though they are 'doing us a favor' as we were told by offering us that amount. After contacting Head Office with the promise of a manager calling back, They never do and are also not interested. DO NOT BUY FROM PARKS!!! THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER DEALERS TO PURCHASE A SAFE ROADWORTHY CAR FROM. TO TOP OF THIS SHOCKING DEALERSHIP, THEY ARE NOW TREATING WITH LEGAL ACTION FOR BAD MOUTHING THEM!!!!!!! Absolutely furious
Absolutely furious. Reserved a Fiat Panda online last night from Ford Inverness branch. The car was still available online and I easily paid my £200 deposit.
To my surprise this morning I received a call from the branch telling me the car was sold.
The branch sold the vehicle between 4pm and 5pm last night. Why was this still on the website at nearly midnight ? The gentleman who phoned me from the branch was apologetic. Wasn't his fault but poor show Park's.

Park Motor's - shocking way to treat a customer
I bought a car from Park Motors Elgin on 9.7.24 and the next day there was water coming in through the roof. I took it back and thought it might be a seal, which didn't bother me. I was then told that it needed a new skin on the roof inside. This did bother me so I phoned and rejected the car, asking for a full refund. No refund given but after complaining to their Head Office, Hamilton I was offered another car from their Ayr dealership, which I was assured was in immaculate condition. I accepted the car. After a week and a half I started hearing a noise every now and then, but thought I was being paranoid. A week later my daughter heard the noise (whining) so I took it to my local mechanic who said to take it back to the dealership. I did this and after checking they said that the clutch and the flywheel had burnt out, but that I wasn't covered under the manufacturer's warranty because it was driver error, in other words it was my fault. I am now waiting for The Motor Ombudsman to allocate an administrator to investigate my complaint. I have been advised by 2 different mechanics that as I was driving locally and didn't put on too many miles it wasn't my fault. I've been driving for many years and have never burnt out a clutch. I paid thousands for the car and within a week and a half there was something wrong with it. The first car I had 24 hours when there was a serious fault with it and the second car for one and a half weeks when I thought there was something wrong, which turned out again to be a serious fault. Park Motor's are not interested in my complaint, which is why I have had to go to Consumer Rights and The Motor Ombudsman. I haven't had a car since 22.8.24 and I haven't had a refund to enable me to buy another car - shocking way to treat a customer. Two cars with serious faults within 2 months and if I could give Park Motor's a 0 star I would.
