Tried a range of the Pieway flavours and they've been a huge hit in our house!
As a good pie should be it was filled to the brim, and the flavours were beautifully balanced.
Also loved the convenience of them arriving frozen and being able to cook from frozen. Well worth keeping some in the freezer!

I received the VIPie 6 box, all flavours were delicious, my favourite was the El Gaucho steak pie. Such high quality, no soggy bottoms once cooked, and great that you can freeze them as it covers 6 dinner times!

Absolutely packing with a crunchy pastry! Some unique fillings like the Mac & Cheese. Perfect combo with pies and my dads gravy, he makes from scratch and/or a side of chips!

📦 I was kindly gifted the V.I.Pie 6 Box, a mixed box at £35, which included:

1 Hog Boss - Slow roasted pork in a
caramelised onion gravy, with a hint of apple
1 El Gaucho - Prime cut beef roasted with red chillies and doused in Malbec.
1 Dolly Parton - Chicken breast in a creamy garlic and tarragon sauce
1 Brisket Jones - 14hr slow roasted brisket in a crushed black pepper cream sauce
2 Ernie's - Chorizo mac and Red Leicester cheese with mild chipotle seasoning.

So far we've tried the Dolly Parton and Ernie's. They are premium quality pies and the pies are packing and super meaty! Can't wait to try the rest!

We tried the VIPie box and cannot fault it. The packaging looks great but most importantly the pies are delicious. The pastry is excellent and the insides are full of filling with fantastic flavour. The Brisket Jones was our favourite

We ordered the V.I.PIE box of 6, which had a great selection of flavours. All of them were very good! My personal favourite was the BRISKET JONES - also great name. The packaging is smart, they arrived cold, so perfect to pop straight into the freezer.

Overall, 5 out of 5 - very impressed and will be ordering again soon 😋.

Oh my pie! 🤩 I have always been a big fan of pie so when I came across The Pieway I knew I had to try them! These pies are seriously incredible! They are so filled yet the pastry is crispy! I think I’m addicted! These are honestly perfect as well if you are stuck with buying a gift for someone! Get them these because they will love you forever! Bravo guys!

The pastry was awesome across all flavours, and jam-packed with tasty fillings. Good size too! Our faves were defo the 2x beefy ones – delicious. A touch pricey but nice for a treat. Cooking / storage instructions could be a tiny bit clearer. Great customer service, and they arrived quickly and super well packed – a joy to receive!

PIEWAY exceeded my expectations with their incredible selection. The Brisket Jones pie was a savory delight, filled with tender brisket and rich flavors. Equally impressive was the El Gaucho, bursting with succulent beef and aromatic spices. Both pies showcased exceptional craftsmanship and quality ingredients. PIEWAY has truly mastered the art of savory pies, making them my go-to for a satisfying and delicious meal. Highly recommended!

Exceptional well made pie with top quality ingredients ,maybe slightly more gravy to really make it my number one but that’s just my personal preference.Expensive but a pie that’s savoured so probably won’t be a regular weekday meal.

Lovely pies, delivered well in individual boxes (really creative designs with fun names) not hugely important but it brought a smile to my face. Also came with a huge frozen ice bag to keep the pies fresh. Expiry date seemed quite a long time and not a clear outline on how long they could be kept in the fridge before freezing, so I frozen them all straight away as the box said you could defrost then cook. Pies took a little longer to cook than outlined on the box but worth the wait. Most were filled full to the brim with a good amount of filling & lovely flavours. The pastry was lovely just quite thick which when cooked seemed a little too crispy (just personal preference!!). However I would recommend as lots of different choices, delivered well, overall tastes really nice and something different for the night.

Delicious pies! Packed full of meat & flavour. Lovely pastry. Love the packaging & branding. Only criticism is the mac & cheese was a bit dry & bland.

Overall absolutely excellent pies and I've made 2 large orders within a month!
I've been trying all pie options available across the internet and most of them turn out to be disappointing. This experience, up to now, has been very good.
The pies are beautiful, the el gaucho, hog boss and brisket Jones are hard to fault.
The dolly parton should have been a show stopper (one of my favourite combos) but turned out to be dry, a bit of cream in the filling or a chicken gravy to accompany it would make it much better.
The Ernie lacks is again dry, needs a cheesy sauce to moisten it up. The chorizo doesn't really come through the way it should unfortunately.

My slight issue I've had is the pies coming frozen, it's been hot recently and my last order, 2 of the boxes were absolutely wet through, all the way to the pies. I've stuck them in the freezer as the ice pack was still intact but I'm very worried about how the quality will be effected (especially at the cost of them!). Typically the pies I got free as part of deal came in perfect condition.

I've marked 5 stars as they can't be held responsible for the weather but I'll be upset if the pies turn out to be ruined (I've not tried the wet ones yet).

If you are a pie lover and want to try something special try a mixed box and I'm sure you'll find a new favourite.

I got to try out one of the V.I.Pie boxes between me and my partner. All in all they were amazing with a few faults aside.

Every flavour was unique, every pie was quick and painless to cook. Would absolutely love to try them again.

The only faults I have are:

Calories: comparing these pies to some store bought brands (mainly Pieminister) the nutritional guidance seems to be inaccurate. For pies that are less sauce based and more focused on the meaty side it confuses me that the pies are only equivalent protein wise with store brands (at around 25g per pie). Furthermore, the pies are all around a 1000 calories each. Again in comparison store bought pies are about 400 calories less. For the extra calories I’d like to know what benefits the pies are getting. As an aside: there was also some varied weight and sizes for each pie. I’m not sure if this is meant to be the case (example: our El Gaucho weighed in at 325g whereas the Dolly Parton was over a 100g less).

Sauciness: the pulled pork and beef pies had no issues and were nice and juicy/saucy. Where issues arose were towards the chicken and exclusive macaroni pies. We both found our pies quite dry and lacking a sauce to really enjoy them to their best degree. Which leads me to my final point.

Guidance: a lovely addition would be advice for what to put with the pies. Whether that be sauce,gravy, veg or mash; it’d be fantastic to know what compliments each pie as we were a little lost on what to put with some pies.

Ultimately, these our great pies. Just need a little refinement so can’t wait to try them again ^__^

We loved the mixed pie box! Great for an informal dinner party served up with some jersey royals and mixed veg. We invited some friends around and had a really fun evening tucking in to different pies and choosing our favourites. We found jersey royals and veg were a great accompaniment.
The pasty was perfect, and I'm not normally a pastry person. We could tell the quality of the meat was top notch, and there was plenty of it. I usually get our meat from the local butcher, but am happy to make an exception with these.

Though not the best after the box has been wet, made it difficult to open. But Speedy delivery. I didn’t realise the pie were frozen previously, as they arrived defrosted. The expiry dates on the bottom of the boxes suggest they’re to be frozen but no advice in pack provided. I therefore kept two out to try the evening of arrival. Bert & Dolly Parton.
I followed the cooking instructions but found when cut open the pastry wasn’t fully cooked or had consumed any liquid that was inside as it’s a very dry pie (no gravy/sauce). The meat, plenty of it, but shredded and had an odd taste, reminded me of canned chicken when I was in the US. Then again the pasta filled pies. Very very dry. Not much flavour. Definitely a no from our family.
I’ve now tried the El Gaucho, again packed full of shredded beef, had a few spots of red chilli pepper but missing the ozzing with sauce. Definitely has some warmth to it. Could smell the wine but not taste.
The other pies are in the freezer but I expect they’ll be the same.
Overall, appearance lovely, each pie top is different. No weights stated on the boxes labels. I hope the pies can be refrozen? Pastry, top buttery, flakey, pleasant. The underneath, not so much. Content, needs more sauce or provide pouches for us to add at home.

The packaging is not only picture perfect, but the pies inside were in perfect condition after delivery which is great! The instructions were super easy to follow, and the family enjoyed trying the various flavours available! Can’t wait to see what wacky flavours you think of next!
