My family have been using Property Moves for tenants for over a decade, not only that but Graham supported me as I stepped personally into the property market, viewing potential properties with me and offering feedback. I can't recommend these guys more highly. There have been some little issues in the past but nothing that wasn't easily remedied. They are my first port of call for rentals and my property is already rented within 2 weeks of being on the market and would have been sooner if the first lady hadnt withdrawn. I use the introduction service and manage the apartment myself.

Unprofessional Agency That Uses Doublespeak to Avoid Accountability

This agency has repeatedly failed in their responsibilities, and when confronted, they resort to doublespeak—a tactic they commonly use to downplay issues and shift blame. Here’s my experience:

1. Filthy Flat at Move-In – “Agree to Disagree” Excuse
• The property was left dirty, with used towels and an old toilet brush left behind.
• When I raised this, they admitted “a few areas could have been better” but then dismissed my complaint, saying we “agree to disagree.”
• Instead of taking responsibility, they claimed their cleaners did a good job and framed the issue as minor, mentioning dust on pipes rather than addressing the unsanitary state of the property.

2. Unauthorized Entry – Shifting the Blame
• The agency entered my flat without proper notice, using their own keys.
• Instead of admitting this breach, they deflected by saying my partner was “fully aware” and that the contractor had mentioned they had keys.
• They ignored the core issue: no explicit permission was given for them to enter. Instead, they made it seem like it was my responsibility to prevent it.

3. Broken Window – Excuses Over Action
• I reported a broken window on December 10th. They failed to coordinate repairs properly and left me waiting four months for a fix.
• When questioned, they claimed the delay was due to the property being on the second floor—something that should have been irrelevant if they had acted responsibly.
• Rather than addressing their lack of urgency, they framed it as just an unfortunate delay, ignoring how poor communication caused the problem.

A Pattern of Deflection and Excuses

Every time an issue is raised, this agency follows the same pattern:
1. Minimize the complaint (“a few areas could have been better” instead of admitting it was dirty).
2. Shift the blame (“you were aware” instead of admitting unauthorized entry).
3. Use vague excuses (“the second floor caused delays” instead of taking responsibility for poor coordination).

Their responses are carefully worded to seem reasonable while avoiding any real accountability. If you want an agency that actually takes responsibility for their mistakes

Experience was seamless. Jez is great to deal with and answered all the Qs I had. Ultimately, I've found a great new flat, in a great location at a good price :)

I didn't end up renting a new flat via Property Moves, but still feel they warrant a positive review. I'd not had to deal with the rental market for 10+ years, but Jez (the member of staff I communicated with most) was patient, professional and proactive in bringing me up to speed. Newly available properties were brought to my attention quickly, preferences established, and subsequent flat viewing times/days were adjusted to suit awkward work hours. Bradley, who conducted a couple of viewings, was courteous and punctual. I'd have no issues dealing with the team at Property Moves for any future change of address.
