⭐ 1 STAR – Extremely disappointing experience with Pro Sports Cars

I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a vehicle from Pro Sports Cars to do their homework and thoroughly inspect the vehicle before committing to the purchase.

I purchased BMW BM23NYL from Pro Sports Cars and unfortunately the experience turned into a very disappointing one.

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered serious concerns with the paintwork/bodywork. Having now had the opportunity to inspect the affected areas more closely, there appear to be signs consistent with previous damage, filler and poor-quality paintwork/repairs. The finish was certainly not what I would have expected from a vehicle I had just purchased.

I gave Pro Sports Cars the opportunity to put the problems right. The vehicle was returned for repair, but unfortunately the first attempt did not resolve the issue. A further repair was then carried out, and again I was left unhappy with the standard of the workmanship and the condition of the vehicle.

I will be attaching photographs to this review so potential customers can see the condition and make up their own minds.

What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase became a prolonged and extremely frustrating experience involving repeated discussions, returning the vehicle and ultimately having to pursue the matter through the appropriate channels.

Thankfully, Pro Sports Cars have now agreed to take the vehicle back, bringing this very disappointing experience to an end.

I appreciate that problems can occur with used vehicles, but what matters is how a dealer deals with those problems afterwards. In my experience, this was nowhere near the level of service I expected.

Based on my experience with BMW BM23NYL, I would not purchase another vehicle from Pro Sports Cars and would strongly recommend that anyone considering buying from them carries out a thorough independent inspection before handing over their money.

For me, this has been an experience I would rather forget.

Rogue Do not purchase from this dealership. Sold a car illegally without adequately checking the history. As well as this my usual mechanic knows of two people who have handed cars back to them and another currently trying to. Dishonest , sold a car that had a safety recall on it then when engine light repeatedly came on kept putting parts on that wasn’t needed and when asked to check the engine management unit refused to check it. The recall was found due to the odometer jumping up and checking mot history. Absolute cowboys. The showroom manager lies to your face about what he has previously said even though he comes across nice he will act like he doesn’t know what your talking about the next time he sees you. Do not go to this company the good reviews on here are not giving a true picture of this dealership. Do not think because they go out of their way for you that the car is ok that’s just them fobbing you off and attempting to conceal the crap car they are selling you just go elsewhere.

Horrendous experience from the start to finish. Vehicle was delivered before old finance was even settled so legally we did not own the vehicle as our finance company refused to pay out until this was cleared along with an older version of the log book so we could not even register it without paying a fee out at the post office. Both issues didn’t get solved for several weeks. Car instantly had issues. Clutch was slipping. Knocking noise when driving. Vibrations coming from the steering wheel at higher speeds. Along with this multiple cosmetic paint issues including poorly done resprays that looked dull and incorrect colour. Dealership refused to look at the issues telling us to sort it ourselves and they would then pay us back. Obviously I did not trust this. Finance company then insisted on the dealership sorting the issues which finally prompted them to contact us and arrange us to take the vehicle back to them. This was a 4 hour round trip journey. Dealership initially refused to give us a courtesy car as they claimed to not have one available. Again finance company had to intervene. We were then told we would be provided with a like for like courtesy car. Upon arrival at the dealership there were no staff working apart from a young lad from their garage who was oblivious to the issues. He gave us a key to a 15 year Old Ford focus that had severe body damage, non working windscreen wipers and a knocking noise coming from the back wheel, saying ‘it’s a courtesy car for a reason’. We had no choice but to take this as we wanted the issues sorting and didn’t want a wasted 4 hour trip. It then took 3 whole weeks to get any update from the dealership at all. They ignored messages and calls and just did not contact us at all. Again we had to get the finance company to chase for us who claimed that the dealership had said there were ‘no issues to fix’ and said we could collect the vehicle. We argued this and sent clear evidence. We then waited another week to be told the car had been sorted and they’d valeted it and it was all fixed. We drove again to the dealership to discover the vehicle in a horrendous state. The front bumper had been damaged whilst in their care and resprayed badly. Leaving a matte finish with no shine. Several new dents had been made in the doors on both sides one of the alloys had been curved and the mileage had gone up by a considerable amount. The car had been left in what I can only describe as resembling the Sahara desert. It was covered in Sand and bird poo. We spoke to a member of staff called Holly who was extremely rude and argumentative. She refused to even look at the issues we were pointing out and eventually stormed off and hid in an office in the back refusing to talk to us. The manager of the dealership then called us whilst we were there saying he promised to get all the issues sorted and was extremely sorry. We also have this as evidence in messages sent to us from him. We were then given back the key to the damaged ford focus and told to leave our car with them. A completely wasted journey. It was then ANOTHER 5 weeks of backwards and forwards chasing the dealership for an update. They finally contacted us saying all the issues had been sorted and they would deliver the vehicle to us to save us another journey. The car arrived back to us a few days after this (totalling 8 weeks it was at the dealership) in a completely unacceptable state. Even more damage had been caused to the bodywork. The drivers side front door had now also been sprayed and buffed to the point it was unrecognisable to the other doors. To top it off the mechanical issues were not fixed at all. Not a single one of them. Clutch was still slipping. Knocking noises still there and vibrations even worse. Finance company sent independent inspector who then said the car was completely unsafe to drive due to damaged suspension strut, drop link, wheels bent, clutch slipping. This prompted the finance company to force the rejection of the vehicle through and send it back to the dealership cancelling the sale.

Bought a Corsa from Pro Sports Cars and it has been nothing but problems since day one. Persistent misfiring, sluggish performance, engine management and oil warning lights, and white smoke. The car has been back multiple times and has never been repaired properly.

Each visit followed the same pattern. We were told it was fixed, the faults returned immediately. Long periods with no communication. Promised courtesy card that aren’t available.

Left waiting while they “plugged it in” only to be told there was nothing wrong, despite the car still misfiring when we left.

We were told parts had been replaced including coils and spark plugs, however one of the coils fitted had its serial number and identification scratched off, which immediately raised concerns about the quality and traceability of the parts being used. Despite these supposed repairs, the issues remained.

We were even told the car would need to come back again for further repairs, which made no sense if the problem had actually been fixed.

Most concerning of all, despite repeated requests, we have not been provided with any repair documentation at all. No job cards, no diagnostic reports, no parts invoices and no paperwork to evidence what work has supposedly been carried out. We were later told the car had a “new engine” fitted, yet again no documentation, invoices, engine number or mileage details have been provided.

The finance company is now involved and has opened a formal complaint. The lack of transparency, failed repairs and refusal to provide basic repair records has completely destroyed our confidence.

Would not recommend. GO ELSEWHERE.

Do NOT buy from this company unless you want endless problems and stress, trying to chase them to get your money back for a car that was sold to me, that WAS NOT ROAD LEGAL. I bought a pick up 4x4 from here 1.5 years ago (ish), I only just got round to assigning my private reg onto the car a year after buying it, which I then get a letter from the DVLA saying the car is NOT ROAD LEGAL AND WILL BE COLLECTED TO BE SCRAPPED !!!! Prosportscars ILLEGALLY sold me a car that had already been written off from a previous accident. Solicitors had to chase them for months to try and get my money back! This place is full of young incompetent people who take no notice of the law, steal your money and never reply to any communication unless threatened with court action.

This company is an actual liability, the people who work here know nothing about customer service or how to run a business, this company is a joke. They will sell you a car quickly, then when problems arise they will lie, do a dodgy fix on what needs fixing to cost them barely anything to fix the issue, hoping the issue won’t then arise again while the vehicle is in its warranty period, or they will reset the battery to clear the lights on the dash.
I was sold a car with problems that have been found to have existed at point of sale. They would authorise work being done on the vehicle when they eventually booked it in Hatfields Jaguar. The car was left there for 3 weeks with no communication from prosportscars to jaguar Hatfields to authorise the work, even with continuous communication attemps by Hatfields. Overall the car is still not fixed, even multiple issues arose within the first two months of owning the Vehicle. That also arose our problems that made the Vehicle undrivable as well. I have now had the car for a turtle of six months and I have not been able to use it for three of those months. Communication from prosportscars just stopped with my car still being stranded at Jaguar Hatfields and the vehicle still broken. With no communication from them, I had no other choice than to instruct a solicitor to do rejection of Vehicle under six months and low and behold per sports cars then respond to my solicitor straightaway accepting the rejection of Vehicle and my solicitor has now fought for the full refund back, which they have now agreed. This process was nothing but stress and lies from the very beginning. I was constantly passed from pillar to post, saying that this employee doesn’t work for us anymore so now speak to this one, this whole company is a joke and ran by complete morons that have no idea what they are doing and refuse to honour their 3 months started warranty.
Also, when the company picked up my car. They also used my car for leisurely activities outside of work time when the car should have been in the garage getting fixed as it had a broken injector. I have now been informed that driving a car with a broken injector continues to damage the cars engine because of the excessive shaking. The only reason I found out about this is because I got a fine through the post that my car had been driven into a pub car park and parked longer than the guidelines of the pub car park.
This company is deceitful and will rob you of your money unless you get solicitors involved which is what I had to do in the end.
This wasn’t a cheap car either, I spent £24,000 on a Jaguar e pace. Which they will now re sell on, with the same faults. And with excessive shaking of the engine, because of the continuous driving of it by prosportscars, this car will need a new engine in a very short time. I URGE you not to buy it. Or to deal with this company, EVER. Vile human beings who run this company and who work there.

Extremely poor experience from start to finish.

We purchased a car which has suffered from ongoing faults since the day we collected it, including persistent misfiring, sluggish performance, engine management and oil warning lights, and occasional white smoke. The vehicle has been returned to the dealer multiple times and has never been repaired properly.

Each visit followed the same routine. We were told the issue was resolved, only for the fault to return almost immediately. Communication was poor, with long periods of no updates. On one visit we were promised courtesy card that was not available, left waiting for over an hour while the vehicle was briefly “plugged in”, then told there was “absolutely nothing wrong with it”, despite the fault still being present when we left.

We were told various repairs had been carried out including ignition components and spark plugs. One ignition coil fitted had its serial number and identification scratched off, which seriously undermined our confidence in the quality and legitimacy of the parts used. Despite this, the faults persisted.

We were also told the car would need to return again for another oil change, which raised serious concerns that the root cause had never been addressed.

Despite repeated requests, the dealer has failed to provide any repair documentation whatsoever. No job sheets, no diagnostic reports, no parts invoices and no paperwork to evidence the work claimed. Most alarmingly, we were later told the car had been fitted with a “new engine”, yet no invoices, engine number, mileage details or confirmation of correct registration paperwork have been provided.

Due to the repeated failed repairs, lack of transparency and refusal to provide repair records, the finance company has now opened a formal complaint.

This has been a stressful and frustrating experience and we have completely lost confidence in both the vehicle and the dealer. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious.

I strongly advise against buying a car or trading in your old vehicle with Pro Sport Cars in Hull. Both my brother and I had a terrible experience. We purchased cars on the same day, and both vehicles arrived with damaged windscreens. My brother’s car also had significant issues that needed repair. Despite promises that they would cover the repair costs, getting the money back has been a nightmare. They rarely respond to calls, and we’ve had to chase them countless times, being passed around different people without any resolution.

To make matters worse, they sold our old part exchange before even paying off the finance, leaving us stuck in a financial battle, worrying about paying for both the old and new finance. The three-month warranty they offer is meaningless, and their after-sales service is non-existent. The car we got wasn’t even properly serviced, and the MOT was barely thorough.

In short, if you’re considering Pro Sport Cars, I urge you to stay away. It’s been an absolute headache from start to finish.
