Con artists. They do a groupon voucher for an MOT for £25. They failed my car on the headlight alignment, and I asked well why didn't you just sort it, it takes 30 seconds to adjust them. The reason? They wanted £35 for the pleasure. When I refused to pay, I asked if I could borrow some allen keys to do it myself and was told rather sternly no, we won't lend you them. I wandered over the road, asked the folks doing some consturction if I could borrow theirs, and then did the adjustments, I adjusted the lights by maybe a degree at most. They then made me sit and wait in the reception for over an hour while they 'retested'. Fortunately they passed the car. While I was sitting in reception, every single phone call was to an MOT car owner saying their cars had failed, do you want us to fix it, quoting £35 every time, trivial little things every time. I didn't hear a single car pass without the extra ransom being paid and they must have made 6 or more calls.

Wouldn't go back.

Efficient, friendly staff. Tyres competitively priced, ordered in for next day and fitted promptly. Generally, a hassle free experience. Recommended.

I’ve used this garage 10 years with all sorts of cars and they have always been great.

I’ve since moved out to the North York moors, about 35 miles away although I’d rather use a garage I trust and felt that it would be worth the journey.

So booked my car in for a service and check a noise from the rear wheel which turns out to be a broken calliper. Ok it needs replacing and it’s an expensive part which takes a WEEK to arrive and fit.

I get the car back, service light not re-set and still a noise from the wheel. I book it back in ( another 70 miles round trip). Oh it’s the brake pads it does say on your service sheet !!!

Anyway the car comes back £1700.00 later.

And it’s still got the same noise…..

My cousin rang and said her brand new car had put a tyre pressure warning light on. I checked the tyres and found a screw in the middle of one of the front ones. She had only done 400 miles but I suggested taking it to Protyre for a repair so I went with her. Job was done very quickly, car all ok again and £25 was far better than £200 for a new tyre recommended...
