Having been looking to renew our kitchen work top for over a year and not found the right company we were given put in contact with Purple Granite by Kitchen Depot in Telford. Laura the Sales Manager was very professional and said she would take away all the stress and get it sorted. We meet her at the end of February choose our worktop and by the 18th of March we had our beautiful Quartz Work Top which we love. We would just like to thank Laura, Rich, Arran and the Plumber for their amazing work and such a brilliant team and do Purple Granite proud. We are super happy thank you so much and would recommend to anyone looking for a new Work top thank you all so much Julie & Martin 😊

Long story short. Some issues took a while too long to resolve (3 visits and two months) but were eventually completed and the product looks good.

The customer service team need to be as attentive and responsive as the sales people.

As a customer it had initially ruined what was something I was excited about having in my new kitchen because of a couple of things that were down to attention to detail and actually listening.

I had a visit today 16/04/26 by James, he was reasonable and sensible he reworked the issues to a much higher standard than that which had been deemed by the first two teams to be within industry standards.

My initial review was somewhat more critical/direct than this one and I would suggest that a bad review should not be the route to satisfaction for both the customer and the business.

I would also suggest that the industry standards are accurately reflected in your pre sales process. 5mm joints is not something you show in your sales blurb and should not be in the fine print.

I would have given 5 stars for what the end result is now if it had been delivered two months ago.

Have used this company several times and each time their prices, customer service and delivery have been excellent. The installation team were great, very tidy and friendly. Would recommend.

Really impressed with Purple Granite, we found them to be less than half the price of Wren kitchen’s and better quality stone.

Had it templated and fitted in 3 days with no issues. Their comms and engagement throughout was exceptional.

The added benefit of getting free tickets to the Harriers football was a nice touch too.

Would definitely use again and recommend to friends.

From start to finish, Purple Granite have been a delight to work with. Their sales and customer service teams are wonderful. Everyone you meet or talk to on the phone is friendly, polite, professional and helpful. They reply to emails quickly and resolve any issues promptly. You can really tell it’s a company that prides itself on its reputation and doing the right thing. I don’t often write reviews as I worry that someone else’s experience might not be as good but I genuinely don’t have that concern with Purple. Thank you for fitting my beautiful worktops - I’m obsessed with them!

Have to say from start to finish everything was first class.
From our first conversation with Eve we felt we were being looked after and would get a quality product.
Communication on dates and time of arrival were superb surveyor and fitters did a great job and we now have lovely quartz worktops

In response to Purple Granite reply to my original review.
I need to correct several inaccuracies in this response.

The issue is not a subjective “visual compromise” caused by uneven units. A section of the worktop was cut approximately 6mm shorter on the front edge than the dimensions agreed at templating, resulting in a clear and measurable defect. This was raised immediately and supported with evidence. At no point was a recut of the affected section offered.

Purple Granite made three attempts to correct this and are now offering as a resolution the proposal of the removal of the worktop and additional remedial work to my kitchen units for an error that was not of my making. This is why that option was declined.

Regarding the upstands, thinner 150mm upstands were agreed at the point of order in Purple Granite’s Worcester showroom. I was later told at templating that this was not possible due to the nature of the granite, which was subsequently confirmed to be incorrect by the granite supplier. The initial upstands were also templated too high, preventing plug sockets from being fitted.

While multiple visits were made, they did not result in an acceptable or proportionate resolution and I have no paper or other copy of signing to accept the work. My review reflects my genuine experience of both the installation and the handling of the issues afterwards, and I stand by it.

IN RESPONSE TO PURPLE GRANITE REPLY

If the granite worktop section had been cut to the agreed template measurements, this issue would not have arisen. The section was undercut by 6mm which I reported immediately. The only resolution I have ever requested is a recut of the faulty section to the original template dimensions.

Purple Granite did not acknowledge this request and instead dismissed a recut, which I believe would have been a more appropriate and proportionate resolution for us both.

I was told on three occasions that someone would attend to assess the issue. During these visits, no measurements were taken. Instead, the sections were repositioned and edges were ground. This did not resolve the undercut and has resulted in a compromised installation, including the need to use infills around the cooker to conceal visible gaps created by the undercut and subsequent adjustments.

I am not a worktop fitter, yet I have now been asked to provide measurements and accept responsibility for a recut. I relied on Purple Granite as the specialist I paid to carry out the work correctly.

This matter has now been ongoing for four months.

Love our new counter tops and island! Team came in and completed the template and we had the counters fitted one week later. Communication was effective and we were update regularly around process and requirements to ensure the templating and fitting would go ahead without any issues. Overall a positive experience!

We have a narrowboat and wanted quartz worktops fitted. We spoke to the girls at Purple Granite and they said it would not be a problem. Templater arrived and 4 days later we had our tops fitted. Couldn’t be happier with my installation great communication, kept us informed from start to finish. Thank you 👍

A friend in the building trade recommended Purple Granite to us and I can see why. Judith was very professional and helpful showing us all the options available. All our appointments happened exactly on schedule. The fitters Aaron and George were exceptional. They discovered an old water leak after removing the old work surfaces. They helped to clean up and allowed my wife time to take some photos. They continued with the installation and the worktops and window sill look fantastic. We are very impressed with the whole procedure and will not hesitate to recommend Purple Granite.

We had an excellent service from Purple Granite.The templating was done very carefully by Simon and as promised, the beautiful worktop was delivered exactly a week later. All work has been done with great care and I am happy to recommend this company.

From choosing the work top to being fitted fantastic customer service all of the staff were very professional and helpful would definitely recommend them to anyone the kitchen looks fabulous

A great company to deal with from start to finish, had to move my templating day, not a problem, they accommodated all the unforeseen issues I had, and the results were beautiful new worktops for our new kitchen. I would highly recommend giving them a call.

I recently had a beautiful quartz worktop installed by PG. Although a miscommunication with the fitters led to some initial issues, PG’s aftercare took care of it. They responded to my concerns immediately, were apologetic and understanding, and arranged a partial replacement as soon as the stone became available. They kept me updated and the worktop was corrected to match the original plans, with no extra fees due to me.

Mistakes can happen, and what matters most to me is how a company resolves them. I’m glad to be able to say that PG lived up to their promised high standards of aftercare and customer service.
