We can confirm this matter has already been raised with Royal Mail and is currently being investigated. According to the tracking information available, the item shows as having been delivered to the delivery address provided on the order, which is why Royal Mail’s investigation process is required before any conclusions can be reached.

We understand this is frustrating, particularly when you are waiting for an order, and we appreciate your patience while we work through the matter. We have remained in contact throughout and will continue assisting until a resolution is reached.

We are sorry to hear you feel this way, however several points in your review do require clarification.

As a DVLA registered number plate supplier, we are legally required to verify proof of identity and entitlement before manufacturing any registration plates. This is not a Quick Plates policy and applies regardless of delivery speed selected.

Documentation requirements are explained during the ordering process and are also referenced throughout our website. Orders requiring next working day delivery are routinely dispatched and delivered the following day when documentation is submitted and approved before the stated cut-off times.

Regarding the refund request, no suggestion was ever made that money was being retained for “producing nothing”. Administrative costs can arise from processing, payment handling and order administration. We also note that a full refund was initially offered as a gesture of goodwill before the matter escalated.

We always aim to assist customers and resolve concerns fairly, and we are disappointed to see your experience described in this way.

We are sorry you were disappointed with your experience, however some clarification is needed.

The issue here was not with your entitlement to the registration, but with the registration entered during the order process differing from the documentation supplied. Unfortunately, where the registration on the order and the registration on the supporting documents do not match, we are unable to proceed further without clarification.

You mention that plates were “produced illegally without the correct documentation”. This is not correct. The documentation issue was specifically identified because our verification process checks for mismatches before release. Had we simply ignored discrepancies, that would have been the concern.

We fully appreciate that typing errors happen and understand these mistakes can be frustrating. However, where customised products have already entered production, this can affect what options are available regarding amendments or refunds.

We would, however, like to clarify that refund and cancellation requests are handled in line with our published terms and conditions, which are available prior to purchase. Processing times can vary depending on payment provider procedures and the stage an order has reached at the point cancellation is requested.

We are also sorry you felt customer service was lacking. While we primarily operate through written support channels, this allows us to keep an accurate record of communications and provide responses in the order they are received.

Quick Plates is designed around fast turnaround times, and verified orders are regularly manufactured and dispatched very quickly. However, delays can unfortunately occur where documentation submitted does not meet requirements, additional information is needed, or the required process has not been fully completed.

As a DVLA registered supplier, we are required to carry out verification checks before any number plates can be produced, and while we always process orders as quickly as possible, we are also reliant on the correct documentation and process being followed to keep orders moving smoothly.

We appreciate your comments and are pleased to hear that you found the ordering process straightforward and easy to follow.

We are sorry, however, that your experience afterwards did not meet expectations. Once orders leave us and enter the courier network, we unfortunately become reliant on third-party tracking systems updating correctly. It is not unusual for an item to be physically dispatched while tracking continues to show that the courier is still awaiting the parcel, particularly during the initial scanning stages.

We are also sorry if you felt you did not receive a response from us. We do actively monitor customer communications and always aim to respond as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that what started as a smooth ordering experience was overshadowed by delivery and tracking concerns.

We reject this review entirely.

The documentation requirement is clearly stated throughout the ordering process and is a legal obligation for all registered number plate suppliers. It is not something introduced “after payment”, nor is it optional. Customers purchasing road-legal plates are required to provide proof of identity and entitlement before dispatch.

Your order was processed in line with the details submitted and within our stated production timescales. Manufacturing and dispatch approval are separate stages, which has also been explained previously.

We also note that this review has been amended following ongoing legal proceedings. False and defamatory allegations such as calling a legitimate DVLA-registered supplier “scammers” are taken seriously and have already been addressed through the appropriate legal channels.

In addition, your correspondence to us included threatening and abusive language towards staff, which is entirely unacceptable and has been retained as part of the evidential record.

We remain confident that our records, correspondence, and compliance procedures fully support our position.

All of our number plates are supplied without pre-drilled holes as standard. This is because every vehicle is different — the positioning, number of fixing points, and even whether holes are required at all can vary significantly from one car to another. Without physically seeing the vehicle, we wouldn’t be able to accurately determine where or how many holes should be drilled.

Pre-drilling can often lead to incorrect alignment or damage to the plate, which is why plates are supplied blank to ensure the best possible fit when installed.

The fixing kit provided is universal and allows you to secure the plate in the correct position for your specific vehicle.
