Outstanding plates and service
My plates arrived a mere 20 hours after ordering. Incredibly efficient. Relatively straightforward to order on-line and good to see proof of I.D. required to help keep things legal. Great smart quality plates too and excellent fitting instructions if needed. Well impressed.

Avoid
I sent in all the required documents, photo of drivers license taken and order refused due to screenshots not being allowed. Now they are saying my document it invalid as it's only valid for 3 days and now their not giving a refund. This is infuriating as at time of order all documents were valid and I've never known a photo to be classed as a screenshot. I would avoid this company!!!! Stolen money

We’re sorry you feel this way, but to clarify — your order was not refused because your documents were invalid at the time of upload, but because what was provided were screenshots, which the DVLA does not permit us to accept. As a DVLA Registered Number Plate Supplier, we must follow strict identity and entitlement checks.
We also gave clear guidance on how to resubmit the correct documentation so your order could be completed. Your entitlement certificate has since expired, which means we legally cannot despatch platesuntil valid proof is provided.
We don’t withhold any money unfairly, and we’re always happy to complete orders as soon as valid documentation is received.

Sorry you’ve had a frustrating experience. For number plates, DVLA/RNPS rules require us to verify proofs before we can legally dispatch them. We’re not holding or “stealing” any money—your order is simply on hold pending the required documents.
Once received, we’ll dispatch immediately.
Note: All UK plate suppliers (including Halfords) must check proofs; this isn’t optional.

No Documents - lose your money
Just be aware that you won't get your money back if you can't provide the documentation that they require. I wonder exactly how many of the orders they actually do. I was staying away so didn't have the documents to hand and this is all hidden in a tiny terms and conditions section before you pay. So no documents - you'll lose your money

Hi Tim — thanks for the feedback, and I’m sorry for the frustration while you were away.
Just to clarify: the ID and entitlement checks aren’t “our rule.” They’re UK law that’s been in place for over 20 years, and every legal number plate supplier must follow them. We flag these requirements before you place an order, because we can’t legally despatch plates without seeing the correct documents first.
If you don’t have the documents to hand, we can keep your order on hold until you’re back and able to send them.
Nothing is “hidden in tiny T&Cs”—we aim to make it clear up-front so there are no surprises.

Rubbish! Avoid At All Cost!
Order No. 67260 placed end of September. Ordered rear but received front number plate. In fairness, following a reply within 48 hours and submitting a photo of the wrongly received plate, I was told a replacement would be sent. However when I chased delivery I was told that it had been dispatched and that if it hadn’t arrived I’d have to take that up with Royal Mail!!! Seriously??? This is my responsibility? Royal Mail are your chosen delivery company…… they’ve not fulfilled your contract. You chase them up. I’m in business myself, and I would be horrified if one of my employees gave this as a response. I’ll give it a little longer and take it back up with them and demand a refund.
15.10.25: updated to say that they are ignoring all communications and my request for a refund.... all over less than £30. So I'm updating to make this ONE Star and to add a warning to the subject 'Avoid At All Cost!'
19/10/2025: I’ve kept a close eye on my junk folder. I always do when in dispute with anyone. All your previous emails came in perfectly well. I’ve replied to your original emails and sent a fresh enquiry through your website. Nothing. I have given you until Monday to refund me or else I will file a complaint through my credit card company to retrieve the money. The reply you’ve given doesn’t stack up to the experience I’m having. If it did you’d have emailed me as well as responding on here for ‘your audience’
21.10.25. To test the level of ignorance I emailed again and got absolutely no response. So anyone reading this should disregard their response. It’s just for show. They cannot be trusted.

Beware of this site and the information…
Beware of this site and the information that they ask for. They don’t tell you until after your purchase that they will not send you the plates until you provide proof of ownership of the number plate. I accept that you need to show the V5 as I did this in my local shop, but they also want a copy of you driving license or other personal identification like bank statements. None of this other information was required over the counter at my local car accessory shop. Seems suspicious, so I would rather lose the money than give them personal information that is not needed by other suppliers. They also don’t contact you to and just wait until they get the information or you lose your money. I would avoid using this company.

Hi Paul — thanks for your review, and we completely understand your concern.
Just to clarify: the documentation we request is not unique to us — it’s UK law, in place for over 20 years, and every legal number plate supplier (including physical shops) is required to request proof of ID and entitlement (e.g. driving licence + V5C, V750, V778, eV948 etc).
Some shops unfortunately ignore the rules, but we follow the DVLA regulations exactly as we are legally obligated to — this protects you from number plate fraud and keeps the plates 100% road-legal.
We do make this clear before checkout, and we also email customers straight away if documents are missing — we never sit back and hope.
You are absolutely not at risk — your data is handled securely and only used for DVLA compliance. If you’d like, we can guide you through it quickly or happily hold the order until you’re ready.

Go elsewhere for your number plates !
I ordered front and rear 3d number plates for my car but after approx. 4 weeks, one of the letters became unstuck on my front number plate and I informed Quick Plates, they sent a replacement number plate quite quickly, which was well received. However, after another two weeks, my rear number plate has the same issue.
I emailed Quick Plates with photos to show the issue with my rear plate to their enquiries email (same as when I reported the first issue), and I have not received any communication from them at all. I have now emailed them a further 3 times and I have yet to receive a response or any confirmation that they will resolve the issue with my faulty plate. I am very frustrated with the service, and I will not use them again. There is no contact telephone number, and I have also tried to contact them via their Instagram account but again no response !!!
I would recommend that you look elsewhere when buying your number plates as I presume that I have now lost my money. I will be contacting the trading standards in the UK as they are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Update 24th October 2025: although Quick Plates have replied to my review on Trust Pilot, I still have not received any contact via their only communication channel. I have checked all my email folders including junk/spam folder and still no response. They have my telephone number but have not tried to contact me through this channel. My last email was sent on 8th October 2025 and still no response. I have now had to purchase another set of plates from another supplier. My original statements still stand true.
Update 11th November 2025
I have sent Quick Plates a formal letter to their registered office address requesting a refund or legal proceedings would be taken. I have now received my refund, thank you Quick Plates! It should not come to this type of engagement to resolve the issue of a faulty product and as mentioned in my review I would avoid doing business with this company.
