I recently bought a new Škoda from Rainsworth Škoda and the whole experience was extremely disappointing.

My sales executive, Mike Ogden, gave me incorrect information about what was and wasn’t included with the car, and didn’t seem to understand the product he was selling. He was very pushy with the optional extras, which I did buy, but the hard‑sell was obvious.

I was told the car was already at the UK docks, but only after signing did I find out it was still in Germany. For two weeks I couldn’t get a straight answer from Mike Ogden about when it would arrive.

On collection day, after paying, I was finally shown the car and only then learned what specification I actually had. The spare wheel kit I ordered and paid for wasn’t in the car, and Mike Ogden’s only comment was, “Oh, I wondered who had ordered that.” Luckily the parts department had one available.

He also couldn’t get the Škoda Connect system working and told me to “try again later.” Three days on, it still doesn’t work and now I have to take the car back for a full day so the workshop can investigate.

Throughout the handover, he repeatedly asked me to give him a score of 5 on the questionnaire, even saying, “I’m not too proud to beg you to score me a 5.” Minutes after leaving, he emailed me asking again for a 5‑star review and provided links to Google and Autotrader.

The next morning the car showed several error messages. When I told him, he dismissed them as a “glitch.” I raised my concerns, which he passed to Sales Manager James Nash, who didn’t bother to respond.

After seeing the number of negative reviews on Google, I now understand why Mike Ogden is begging customers for positive ones. I wish I had checked Google before my purchase.

Overall, the experience was disorganised, misleading, and far from professional. After my experience at this dealership, I now regret purchasing my car and would strongly advise others not to make the same mistake with this dealership or its Sheffield sister site.

Rainworth Skoda have provided me, once again, with a fantastic Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo edition. They have never failed to disappoint me, and are always extremely helpful. Everything was dealt with and managed very professionally by the sales executive Ryan Goodjohn. I cannot thank him enough , and the company itself.
Once again, great car a dream to drive.

Cody the sales representative was highly professional. He took us for a test drive when we saw the car we liked. He was knowledgeable about all the features on the car, it's performance and overall drive. The part exchange we agreed was suitable to both parties. The business side of transactions was completely stress free, no pushy add on's.

When collecting the car everything went smoothly another drive in the car to gain petrol. Cody made sure that we were completely satisfied before handing over our new car. The car was well valeted and a multipoint checklist had been recorded.
If the after sales service (if needed) is as professional as Cody's approach then my confidence in the dealership will be rewarded.

We have had a great experience buying our two cars: an Octavia last year and a Fabia this last week, from Rainworth Motors with thanks to Steve Cantrell. He was so friendly, professional and genuinely helpful. Answered all our questions, explained everything clearly and his excellent customer service made the whole process smooth and stress free. We arranged to view and test drive a Skoda Karoq for the following day. The car had only recently been received in to stock but was filthy.
We were then offered almost £1k less for our part exchange compared to two other dealerships. They only appear to stock Skoda's so assume that other makes are sold to other traders hence presumably the poor exchange valuation offered so be aware if you are not trading in a Skoda.

I have just purchased a new Skoda Kodiaq from the dealership. I was dealt with by the sales representative Luke Barrett . He has been great from start to finish, he initially showed me around the model I was interested in and explained everything to me, it was nice that there was no pressure to buy there and then. Luke answered all my questions, and I informed him I would have to think about it overnight.
I returned the following day and purchased the car from Luke. The car was delivered within a week. Luke again went through everything with the new car and helped me set everything up. The buying experience was very good and even the after sales help from Luke has been good.
I would definitely recommend the dealership, and Luke is a credit to the company, as another reviewer said he is a ‘breath of fresh air.’

Hi, I went to Rainworth skoda looking for a new car. I was trading in my Landrover discovery sport. I was greeted by a lovely salesman (Luke Barrett) . A breath of fresh air with a genuine laid back approach which I found very refreshing. He gave me a good part exchange price for my old car, and helped me make the right choice for my new car. Luke took the time to go through all the handover process on the delivery of my new Skoda superb. An excellent sales person and I would recommend anyone to buy from Luke Barrett

Rang the dealership regarding the Enyaq, was told salesperson would ring me back, they didn’t. I tried emailing them, they didn’t respond.
If this is what they are like before you get a new car, I can only imagine the difficulties you’d have if you had a problem

From start to finish Ryan Goodjohn was a pleasure to deal with. No hard sell but instead took time to understand our needs in a car. Opted for the Karoq sportline and after 2 weeks driving it I am convinced it was the correct decision. Thanks Ryan for the brilliant service.

Having seen a car on Skoda’s website that had everything I was looking for on my ‘had to have list’ I made the 2 plus hour journey to have a look. Having looked at many cars on websites over the years, you never know what you will find until you actually see it.

When I arrived at the showroom, I was introduced to Simon Cox, who showed me around the car, inside and out, we then organised to come up with my partner to do a test drive. The car was perfect. Simon was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable, going through what happened next, organising a value for my old car etc. This made the transition of organising everything we needed to do our side easy, meaning that we could pick up the car as soon as possible.

The whole experience was friendly but professional and nothing was an issue, and the whole team at Mansfield are a credit to Rainworth Skoda, plus we ended up with not only a lovely car [called Eloise], but a permanent passenger called Kodi.

Simon rang to make sure that we had arrived home safely and that everything was ok – a very nice touch.

We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a Skoda, new or used.

I received my new car on 5th March, I love it ,I was kept informed with up to date information by Ryan ,who also handled the purchase , everything went very smoothly , showed me how to link my phone and Skoda App information , it’s a fantastic drive automatic Fabia , I would also like to give a thumbs up to the bearded gentleman Nile I think? Visited rainworth twice and notified them both time I was waiting for vehicle. Dropped car off at 8 am by 14.00 car add been taken into the workshop.again another 9 hrs sat in waiting area.

I just bought a nearly new Kodiaq from them.
From start to collection the service was fantastic and very professional. I dealt with experienced (unlike most other garages) people and the car is amazing.

We attended this dealership to order a new car it was busy but we were looked after on arrival and also waiting for the salesman to see us during the appointment and when finished the experience was excellent no rush no pushing just made very at ease great service thanks ollie and everyone else that day

Service advisor Russell topped first class handling of my recent service requirement by performing above and beyond to return the forgotten key after. After close of business in his own time, he drove more than half an hour in nasty weather to deliver it to my home.
Impressive to say the least.
