Buyer Beware. Purchased a Relax the Back PR150 zero gravity lift chair December 2019. Chair was never "right" but with the pandemic it was very difficult to get service. Relax the back kept advising to "reset" the chair and time after time resetting the chair had less and less effect. Golden Technologies, the manufacturer, pretty much washed their hands of the situation as quickly as possible. At this time, zero gravity position works great, as long as you don't plan to sit up. But if you wish to sit in the chair, the leg lift will go up and down, but the back will not raise above a 30 degree angle off the floor. Reset no longer has any effect. For a $3000 chair what a piece of junk. There are lots of good choices out there. Relax the Back is NOT one of them. i do not believe this model is made anymore, great news for future buyers. i only gave this a one star because i could not give it zero!

I ordered and paid the invoice in full. From Betty at the West Hartford store. I was sent there by Mark the district manager. For four weeks I either was told a story re: the delivery of my new Zero gravity chair. Every story was more of a lie than the previous story. Finally I gave up on my chair and canceled the charge. I have not heard from Relax The Back to date.
I have NEVER purchased anything from a retailer with such poor customer service. As Relax the Back

I am so grateful for Kevin in the Santa Barbara Store! He went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me with restoring my bed back to what it should be! I now have my bed back to the original and I am so grateful! I had a couple months of far from perfect sleeping because nothing worked. It was frozen in one not so comfortable position.Last night was perfect! My bed works again. Thanks KEVIN! You are the best! REALLY!

I was buying a condo from Trump at Columbus Circle before 9/11, I was marrying an NFL ball player. So— if you need relaxation like I need relaxation, and a lawyer is a textbook monopoly and so is the MD trying to psych you for the Faculty, Kyle will at least work the acupuncture points on your feet. You sit in a big chair that ain’t private aviation, but Honeychild, you ain’t the black girl living your life these days now are you.

My 95 year old mother ordered a custom chair from Tucson Relax the Back for $5000 but it did not arrive to specifications. The manager Rudy ADMITTED their mistake, but my mother did not want to wait another few months for a replacement. Rudy refused to even give her store credit to purchase an existing one from the showroom so she wouldn’t have to wait. Terrible customer service.

The pillow was awful—definitely not worth the money. Very disappointed. My husband has actually been sleeping with a pillow from another company, but based on the reviews I gave this one a try.
I never order from companies without those options, but I missed that this time. So be careful before you buy… $151.27 down the drain, including shipping and tax!

Terrible customer service. I bought a $1000 chair in 2023, and when the chair broke recently I was told by Mark Szymanski, the manager, that I had to take it up with the manufacturer and wished me luck. I would not recommend buying anything from the Beaverton store or the Clackamas store.

Buyer beware! This store sells quality products but has terrible cancellation and return policies. I ordered a chair at the end of December and was told it would ship in 1-2 days. In fact it shipped in 6 days and I didn't get a call from the shipping service about delivery for more than a week after it shipped - and after my spinal surgery!! I attempted numerous times on the phone and on email to cancel the order with a Relax the Back employee, only to be told that the chair had been loaded on the truck and there was nothing they could do to remove it - wiich is ridiculous. This chair traveled from CA to NJ and will now be traveling back, at great cost to me and great waste of fuel and time for the shipper. Don't bother with this company - stick with Amazon and get your chair in 2 days, regardless of where you live.

I ordered a massage chair with White Glove delivery. I had to call 5 times just to get it delivered. A kid showed up on the wrong day to deliver it and my neighbors had to help him get it in as he had a dolly with 2 flat tires. He could not put it where I wanted it and left a huge mess from the street to the door saying it was not his problem. I called to complain but was simply ignored. I wll never buy from this company again. Luckily the chair works. I really do not believe that they would fix it as the warranty says after the experience with the people I talked to.

I bought 2 very expensive chairs from Relax the Back. They were telling me, no worries because we have “lifetime warranty” - I guess to justify the price. Well, 10 years later my Delta ZeroGravity Recliner’s locking mechanism stopped working. The company headquarters were absolutely no help. I was told “sorry, the manufacturer went out of business and we cannot help you.” So that’s how much their lifetime warranty is worth. They left me hanging to figure out how to fix my chair. Pretty crappy :-( To replace now a similar chair is $4000-4500.

I paid over $5000.00 for a zero grav chair with "white glove delivery", I found one that fit, but didn't have power, when Stacy found the chair at another store, I verified the foot rest was the U shape, and 3 times she confirmed it. The chair was delivered, but not with the U shape. I tried it and just didn't work so I returned it. But now the restock fee was 15% and pick up $199, ok but the way they wrote the invoice, I paid 15% restock fee on the total I spent (which included the $199 delivery fee) they also added a new $199, so I ended up paying the $199 fee 3 times instead of 2 times, and the 15% was not on the cost of the chair, but on the total bill. So beware shopping at their Beaverton Oregon store.

I ordered the chirp rolling percussion massager read these reviews after I didn’t receive it after a week and thought I made a mistake I contacted them they are were responsive and I was a paranoid impatient customer despite being sent a tracking number. This is my personal experience I would rate myself a one star customer and they were 5 stars despite my venom.

it took a month to get my product - a very expensive tempurpedic pillow and when it was so uncomfortable (like trying to sleep on a small rock) I knew I couldn't use it after 2 hours of trying. The company did not respond to my emails so I finally called them - and the person said it was not returnable. The pillow was pristine, had been covered by a clean pillow case - but they said the reason was hygiene - quite unfair I think. I asked why zero gravity chairs and beds were returnable when a whole human body had been on them? the answer, I felt had more to do with not wanting to refund the money than anything else. This is why places like Amazon exceed these companies that we all try to patronize to keep them going. I will not buy from this company again.

The Plantation Florida Relax the Back store sold us an adjustable bed for over eleven thousand dollars. When a problem with one of the motors started, we called on the warranty that they assured us was good for ten years. Otherwise, we never would have bought a mechanical product where many things can go wrong. The repair people said it needed a new motor, but when we contacted the manufacture, they told us we needed Relax the Back to order the part. The store didn't seem to know what to do, and the region manager told me two weeks ago that he couldn't do anything. They aren't standing behind the warranty they guaranteed as a condition of our buying this bed and are perfectily happy to leave us holding the bag. This is not a company you want to buy expensive mechanical products from, because they have no honor in standing behind their products or the warranties they assure you will cover any problems. We bought a massage chair, not from them, after this, but from Brandsmart, which has clear in-store warranties. These Relax the Back people you have to sue.

I needed to research several different zero gravity chairs for work. After not getting anywhere through several different avenues online, I decided to take a three hour trip to relax the back. The closest location was three hours away and well worth the trip. The website had listed that they had several different models of zero gravity chairs which I had researched for purchase. The store was very well stocked and had every model of chair that I was interested in. The sales representative was very helpful, not pushy, and ultimately helped me and my staff purchase the exact model of chair that was ideal for my business. I would highly recommend relax the back to anyone professionally, or personally for their chair or mattress needs.
