Very Disappointed

I took your salesman's advice without conducting a listening test and purchased the recommended Amplifier (Denon AVR X2800H). The self-calibrating system to balance the speakers - plain didn't work. I am still struggling to get it to function but the sound quality seems MUCH poorer than the 15-year old Pioneer VSX 2016AV it replaces

I was genuinely sorry to hear that you’ve been disappointed with the purchase of your new amplifier. particularly after taking advice from our team. We would always do our best recommend the most suitable product based on a customer’s requirements, so it’s disappointing to hear that this hasn’t met your expectations.

Indeed, it sounds like something hasn’t quite gone as it should here with the auto calibration, which can potentially be affected by a number of factors, so we’d really like the opportunity to help get this resolved for you. I will arrange for the branch to get in touch to walk you through the set up and, if there are still issues with performance, arrange exchange or refund.

Of course if I can be of any more help in the meantime do let me know, hopefully you will believe from the 98% of positive Trustpilot reviews that this kind of issue is a very rare occurrence and one we will always attempt to put right.

The customer service was very efficient.
I found the shop assistants extremly helpful and very friendly.
I'm also very pleased with the product that i purchased.
I would definately recommend.

First (and last) place to visit

Bought a pair of Dali Sonik 7 speakers - amazing. Felip was incredibly helpful. I have kitted out most of my AV from Richer Sounds, Swiss Cottage. Omar is also excellent. Well done!

Best place toGo for all Audio anywhere

Had a complicated request which staff dealt. With and were patient with me as I struggled to understand the details. Then when I got everything home they still dealt with my confusion and sorted it out - used them for years - best place for any audio

Had issues; they fixed it.

Had some issues and misunderstandings re: delivery, compounded by very poor communication and misleading information from the delivery company. Effectively looked as though there was the option to deliver from Wednesday onwards; most people, with every other courier, would assume the earliest slot/day would apply. Not in this case; if you don’t choose, they’ll choose for you, which could be days later.

Was followed up by the store after contacting CS. Was offered a gesture by way of apology - which was appreciated… or would have been, if it was ever received.

Always used RS as my first choice, but this wasn't great. Could have gone elsewhere (the origin for the price match) who would have delivered the same product faster and without ambiguity.

UPDATE:
Richer Sounds actively responded, and ensured the gesture previously offered was fulfilled. This better aligns with the high standard of customer service I've become accustomed to with Richer Sounds, and is appreciated.

I’m also concerned to hear that the goodwill gesture discussed with the store doesn’t appear to have reached you as intended. We’ll be getting in touch directly to look into that and make sure it’s put right.

Needed to replace a pair of aging…

Needed to replace a pair of aging Tannoy speakers.
I had a shortlist of three models and the sales agent asked about my music collection and my hi-fi setup.
He was very helpful going through the pros and cons of each model before making a recommendation.
I purchased the Q Acoustics 3020C speakers based on his recommendation. They were delivered when they were promised and I am really pleased with them. The service and advice from Richer Sounds is always superb whenever I phone or walk into the Guildford store.
