If the AA contract these cowboys for a breakdown, demand they use another reputable contractor instead. They constantly lied to me and the AA and left me stranded for 6 hours. In the end I had to get AA management involved who got me a taxi home, I had to abandon my car. I hope they lose the contract with the AA.

For Steve who came and rescued two young women tonight (18-19th Nov ‘25) in a black Audi A3 near Lincoln - you absolute legend! I am so so grateful for your help after we’d been abandoned four times from 8pm - 1:30am. Excellent service and support, thank you!

RAC let me down, tow referred to Richford. My Q3 car was on my drive and wouldn’t start, Steve was brilliant managing to move the car and load it. Above and beyond.

My daughters car broke down on the way home from work and ASHLEY attended. He was very polite, helpful, and professional. Just what is needed when your stressed about your car. He suspected a major fault and recovered the vehicle to our home due to the late hour(no garages open). He is an asset to the company. THANK YOU

My car broke down today and I used Greenflag for recovery to a local garage.
Greenflag arranged for my recovery through Ritchford motor services and it was my great fortune to be assisted by Steve Brown.
Steve was polite, professional and reassuring. He completed the diagnostic checks with obvious expertise and explained what the problem was with my car. He then took myself and my vehicle to my garage of choice.
What a great guy and a great service. Thank you Steve and thank you Ritchford.

Last Friday the RAC let us down badly. After waiting 8 hours for the RAC arrive I received a message that they were calling in a contractor to attend to our breakdown, they sent out Richford Motor Services, they arrived the young man Alex was the attendee.
Being nearly midnight Alex was very professional and caring, he carried out the recovery with great efficiency and friendliness. Thank you.

Jason from Stoke (Stafford) branch was the friendliest guy. We really appreciated his advice and conversation. We were tired and had a long day and an awful experience of breaking down at a busy junction. But after being in the back of his warm cab on the hours or so journey to Derby Depot, we felt relaxed and able to carry on to our home using the car which was provided by them. We were on a bit of a time schedule, but Jason got there before the office closed, so we were very grateful for his effort.
We also would like to thank Jason from the Derby branch as he was such a relaxed and friendly driver, really knowledgeable and didn’t rush me at all.
These employees in my opinion are a credit to your company and good ambassadors for you.

What a great company, I broke down at 2.30am on the m1, was on my own so had a panic. Got recovered firstly from Nigel to take me off the motorway to the services as I had traveled from 5 hours down south, Nigel very knowledgeable and a very polite friendly guy. I was then picked up by Dave and he drove me and my car 5 hours back down south, again very knowledgeable so so polite and genuinely a lovely guy made me feel so comfortable I couldn't of asked for a better company all round to tow me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH 😀

Paul from Richford saved my bacon today. I have recovery with green flag, and my clutch went in the fast lane of the A1. I had to ditch the car in the grass and was very close from going in a draining ditch on one side, and lorries hammering past on the other side. Not a good situation. Paul turned up, and got cracking, cheery but capable demeanor. I was so glad to have my car in his hands. He arranged a rolling police block and towed the car away from the ditch and got it loaded and off the fast road all very smoothly, and up and on the truck within 5 mins. I can't thank this recovery driver enough. He had everything under control was kind and cheerful when I was worried stiff.

Dan Frost recovered me and my vehicle home in the early hours this morning. He was very helpful and professional. A credit to the company, respectful in my hour of need. Thanks richfords and Dan!

Although I'm a member of the AA they were unable to send a breakdown truck in the early hours of a Sunday morning and sent Richford Motors instead. I must congratulate the firm and their excellent breakdown truck driver Chris Rowland who was very competent and helpful. He managed to change what appeared to be a horrible experience at first into a not unpleasant one. Thank you both.

Recovery driver Dave was courteous and very professional, going the extra mile to make sure we arrived at our destination safely.

The WORST experience for me and my partner. After an already traumatic car crash the police doing there bit, the police told us we can collect our vehicle. Had to practically tell the staff here how to do their job!! As they were not willing to give back our vehicle. a little compassion and respect would not have gone a miss from the rude ‘staff’ at Richford Huthwait. Not sure if they’re aware but having a huge crash like we did is not something that happens on a regular basis so understandably we were confused of the process and their regulations. From the first phone call to collecting OUR vehicle was nothing short of painful having to deal with these boys. I understand they’re just guys covered in oil and gas, struggling with any people skills however I think manors are a bare requirement in any work environment. Unfortunately they are contracted through the police so in incidents like ours the vehicle automatically gets taken to the compound, IF you have a choice please avoid these at all costs. Oh, talking of costs they also absolutely rip you off. Charged extra to lift the vehicle up to put in the recovery truck WE organised and then all the VAT on top. Fix up lads

Dan picked up my Ford ranger promptly got it loaded up and on the way home. This is where the challenge really began. I live in a little culdesac on an incredibly narrow street. To say it was a challenge to reverse a truck of that size up my street and around a sharp turn is an understatement! How he did it I have no idea but that is a level of skilled driving I have never seen! I did say I was worried about leaving my car on the main road and Dan certainly delivered! Not only was he top guy who managed to make me laugh when I was already freezing cold and soaking wet but he certainly went the extra mile to deliver a first class customer service! Rockford motor services Dan is an incredible asset to your company and I really feel his service should be recognised! Cheers Dan you made a pretty rubbish evening a bit better
