Ridiculous way to sell cars , drove for over an hour to view the car I wanted on route I phoned to check it was still available and was informed I wouldn’t be allowed to test drive which I accepted and carried on to view On arrival, although the car looked to be in good condition but we were informed that there was a 24 hour returns policy for exchange for another car no refunds given Please tell me there aren’t many if any people that would do this If you’ve gone for a specific car surely your not going to risk exchange for just anything else Surely sales are being lost

Wiec chcemy oddać bo auto z takim przebiegiem nie spełniło naszych oczekiwań niestety Menager nie przyjął zwrotu mimo ze upłynęło zaledwie 14 godzin od zakupu sprawa w toku z pomocą Citizen office

We had a mixed experience overall. On purchasing the car, we found the salespeople professional and they weren’t at all pushy. Compared to other similar places, we went we were impressed. The car was good value for money and the fact it was MOTed, serviced and valeted was good.

The only part which let us down was collection. We booked for 12 and then they phoned and asked us to move to 4.30. As I was driving a round trip of 140 miles, we said this was too late and they agreed to 2.00. I arrived at 2.00, filled in paper work and was asked to fill in a paper review which I did with glowing recommendations. They then told me it would be 45 minutes to an hour before the car was ready. I said on an uncomfortable bench for an hour and a half in total waiting for the car to be ready, drove back the 70 miles in rush hour and was an hour and twenty minutes late to collect my husband from work. The man who originally told me of the delay wasn’t particularly apologetic although the woman who then chased for me was more apologetic and did continually chase. When the car was ready, it was fresh from valet and had damp seats which wasn’t ideal for a long drive.
Be wary of collection times would be my advice.

I accompanied my wife to buy a small car for her from Ron Skinner and Sons, Sales staff were brilliant can’t fault them, I told my wife we needed the warranty and thank goodness we did, the car drove badly it shuddered on the steering and shuddered when breaking, took it to their appointed warranty garage they said all that was wrong was tracking and they fixed it!!
No sooner had I driven down the bypass the shuddering was back, my wife rang Ron Skinners back up to complain, we asked for another garage to give a second opinion, the findings were horrifying, the near side wheel bearings were totally wrecked both left and right drive shafts were totally fractured and split, worn bushes and other parts had to be changed, total 3k worth of work and car was on the ramp for 5 days we never received any compensation the car was a death trap, all fixed now thanks to the warranty but not what you would call wear and tear for a 3.5 year old car, Ron skinners had assured us all their cars are checked and serviced and MOT prior to sale, the MOT Tester must have had a guide dog as he missed fundamentals that a student mechanic with no experience would spot so won’t use them again and would not recommend ever

Only give 1 star because I had to so I can write review. Visited Tredegar showroom today with my son and when sat waiting 3 members of staff thought it was perfectly fine to play video on phone which was very loud and using very bad language( c words + f words) which my son could hear. I had to take my child outside. My partner approached the men and asked them to watch their language if I returned inside. Not 1 person apologised for their lack of respect or behaviour.I have not purchased a car yet and am considering taking my business elsewhere

Don’t waste your money, terrible service bought a Nissan Juke in Oct 2019 the day after the engine management light came on and has been on ever since which I’m currently dealing with Nissan, the day I picked the car up the was no Ariel or Nissan handbook had to phone and chase for both was sent an Ariel and I naff Ron skinner service booklet, phoned again to speak to someone about the engine management issue and Nissan handbook promised the world still haven’t had the handbook 10months later. Phoned Ron skinner again today about both issues only to be spoken to like I’m some dumb women ( I’ve actually worked in the motor trade for 12 years ) so not dumb, promised the handbook will be ordered from Nissan again and zero interest in engine management issue, save yourself a headache and go elsewhere waste of time and money.

We had great service at the crosshands branch, we were left alone, no pushy sales, excellent service, bought a great car, impressed.

again having to write a review of ron skinners , hoping not to .brought 3 cars from them happy to buy a fourth had also recommended a family friend to them as he was looking to replace his car.Had to chase salesman to reply to question
regarding car and finace , spoke to him regarding px price and was told do able . Came to agreeing a deal and my px was 400 pounds less . I got up to 3800 at a push , asked them to gaurntee this price and told no . Text the general manager to ask him to help , his reply was to say there busy and under restraints from finace company and uncertain times . Did tell him we had agreed 4000 and was happy to take 3800 but no reply..sadly won't be using them again after buying 3 cars you hope for some old fashion loyalty from them when returning to buy more , call me.old fashion !!

I will speak as I find, about a month ago I bought a car from Ron Skinner & Sons at their Neyland branch. The car was beautifully presented and I must admit I fell in love with it straight away. I was happy with the deal which included a part exchange, so I went ahead and bought my new pride and joy. Upon arriving home I noticed the car was suffering from a water leak into the boot, this of course was of great concern. I phoned Ron Skinners and they asked me to take the car to their Tredegar branch as that is the nearest one with a workshop to my house. I did this and was given a courtesy car, they had my vehicle for 5 days which is far from ideal. After picking up the car and returning home it was obvious that the water leak had not been fixed, hence 4 stars rather than 5. After another couple of phone calls to both Neyland and Tredegar RS agreed to pick up my car from my home and leave a second courtesy vehicle then return when fixed. They were very apologetic.
I have now had my car back for several days and I'm happy to report a dry boot. I am putting this down to shear bad luck, all the staff I have dealt with (Neyland and Tredegar) have been courteous at all times. It's a pity it took 2 attempts to fix the issue which turned out to be a leaking rubber grommet. I would certainly buy from Ron Skinners again, they are one of the better car dealerships in my area and overall I'm very pleased with the after sales care. By the way the buying experience itself was very good, a nice showroom and attentive staff at Neyland.

I have given 3 stars has I have had 2 cars previously and they were good, but third time I have gone there I was disappointed, the cars I were interested in were very high mileage and very pricey for what I had seen somewhere else for the same price and less than double the mileage. Ron skinners are very helpful and good customer service but they need to look at pricing cars a bit lower if they have high mileage on the cars

After driving company cars for years, time had come to purchase my own car. I found a car i liked and I contacted the Cardiff store and spoke with an excellent salesman called Regan. He explained that the car was stored at another branch and arrangements were made to bring the car to the Cardiff store. Within a few days the car had arrived and was purchased. I had recieved a great service from start to finish.

Visited the Tredegar branch today
