Good prices - Poor service

Run4It offer good prices and had the trainers I wanted in my size and colour I liked at 2/3 the price of my local running shop.
I ordered them online and having read previous reviews knew I may have a bit of a wait for delivery.
After 4 business days my order hadn't progressed so I called and spoke to Donna. She investigated and emailed me later that day. The shop who had been assigned my order didn't have the shoe in stock and hadn't indicated this on the system, so my order was just left hanging. She found the stock, arranged for express delivery and said I would receive a refund of 10% of the order.
The shoes arrived promptly and are great. But no sign of the 10% refund.
Despite 2 follow-up emails I've had no response and no 10% refund.
Having to chase my order met my expectations based on other reviews (3*).
Resolving the issue so quickly and getting my shoes by express delivery exceeded my expectation (4*).
Being offered a 10% refund far exceeded my expectations (still 4*).
Not delivering on the unexpected 10% refund (2*).

Hi Jon, thanks for the feedback. Yesterday, you should have received an email from our Customer Service & Logistics Manager. We hope the content of the email helps to reduce some of the disapointment in the service you received.
Our website has been exceptionally busy over the last year or so. We are working very hard to reduce errors and improve dispatch times. Apologies again that you had issues with your order.
In regard to your comment about previous reviews, our main review platform is Feefo; all reviews on that platform are linked to in-store and/or online orders. There are 1,749 reviews for the past year and our customer service score is 4.9/5. We completely respect the right of customers to leave reviews on any platform they choose. Feefo is only being mentioned in this reply as a lot of orders are fulfilled without issue - and the problems you experienced are certainly not the norm. Slooooooow delivery

Ordered 9th June on free standard delivery (2-4 days).
Now 13th June and still not been shipped.
Email sent for an update but as of yet no reply.
Was a birthday present for 16th which I thought I ordered in time, not holding out much hope..

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. I ordered trainers which came in a tatty box and were clearly very used. I obviously returned the trainers and there was an issue with the return, despite having proof of postage they refused to refund so I had to raise a case with my credit card provider to resolve. Avoid avoid avoid!

Hi Elizabeth, from the photos you sent us of the shoes, we can see that - for shoes with that style of midsole and outsole - there is some very light wear and tear. The wear and tear referred to very much looks as though it has come from some form of indoor try-on/testing of the shoes. If shoes are received in an unacceptable condition, that is a very rare occurence, and we will happily provide a refund when the shoes are returned to us.
Unfortunately, we don't have sufficient proof of postage - e.g., a Post Office receipt (certificate of posting), an On-Line postage receipt (stamped at Post Office) or a Royal Mail Parcel Shop receipt (certificate of posting). The status of the tracking number you have given to us is "Sender advised item dropped off at parcel locker". We have asked for Royal Mail's help with this issue; however, we cannot issue a refund with the current information that is available. Our Customer Service and Logistics Manager will contact you when we have received a reply from Royal Mail. We're sorry that there isn't anything else we can do at the moment. Kind regards, Hamish

No customer support whatsoever.

I ordered online on the April 30th. It’s now been over a week, and the status of my order is still: Confirmed: We're preparing these items for shipping.

I called the customer support number several times with no answer, left a voicemail, no one has got back to me.

I sent an email and got a reply saying they’ve passed my message onto the online team. Most companies would have delivered an order by now, yet not only have I not recieved my order, I e had no order update, no communications, and unable to get any customer support. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never order from this website again.

Hi Tung, we’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the communication surrounding your order. We completely understand how frustrating it can be when you’re waiting for an update.

After looking into this, your order was placed late on 30th April, meaning it was being processed over the Bank Holiday weekend. With the standard delivery service selected, our dispatch window therefore ran through to 6th May. When you contacted us on Tuesday, we investigated straight away and replied to provide an update, but initially had difficulty locating one of the items in the warehouse despite stock showing on our system.

We were able to locate the shorts yesterday, your order was packed immediately, and it has now been sent on an express service. Your parcel should arrive tomorrow (Friday 8th).

Again, we’re sorry for the frustration caused by the lack of response over the phone and the unclear timelines surrounding your order. We’re also reviewing this internally to ensure we respond to or follow up on customer calls promptly. No Delivery, No Customer Service & No Sign of Refund

Ordered shoes that weren't dispatched within the estimated time, tried calling to find out what was going on, it took several calls to the customer service line before anyone picked up. It turned out my shoes weren't even in stock to begin with, so their system shouldn't have validated the order in the first place. I asked for a refund and it still hasn't arrived after 10 days.

They did provide a 20% discount code for the inconvenience, but it only works for non-discounted items so the use cases were limited.

I appreciate IT issues happen now and again, but adding on the very unreliable customer service phone availability and refund delays, my confidence in run4it is not high at all.

Our system will only accept orders when it believes we have the stock, and - unfortunately - it was a stock error that prevented us fulfilling your order. We work very hard to ensure stock accuracy, but errors do happen on occasion. We're also sorry that you had difficulty contacting our customer service line; your feedback has very much been taken on board.
I believe that our Customer Service and Logistics Manager emailed you today with further details about your refund - as this was successfully processed a couple of weeks ago, and we have confirmed this with Shopify - our payment provider. Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed that I'm leaving a 1 star review for a company I hold in such high regard. I purchased some shoes around 4 weeks ago and promptly returned them as they were a poor fit for me. I use their tracking with Royal Mail and unfortunately Royal Mail lost the parcel. After 3 weeks of posting the return I still have not got a refund as I was told I must wait for a claim to be completed through Royal Mail as I no longer have the paper receipt.

Despite consumer law clearly stating that digital evidence of tracking is more than sufficient as proof of postage and that I as the consumer do not need to wait for the Royal Mail claim to be completed as I have fulfilled my obligation to return the goods I have had nothing but pushback for a refund of £89.99.

Having previously worked of this company this has truly soured my opinion of them. For what should be a very simple process, it has been an uanessacry hassle to get this refund.

The absence of the paper receipt is important as it would provide us with proof of the delivery postcode for your return - which would allow us to process the refund prior to a claim process being completed with Royal Mail. Unfortunately, the tracking number and the screenshot provided doesn't have anywhere near enough detail to prove that we're the intended recipient of the parcel, therefore we do need Royal Mail's help to sort this out for you. Really solid company!

Really solid company, the delivery is super fast. This surprised me because I live on the South Coast of England and they are based in Scotland. The staff are easily reached and responded well to my email query, too. I have now used them multiple times, and their products are really nice.

Don’t buy

Please save yourself the hassle they have taken my payment but have not delivered the goods I have emailed but got no response and have rang on four different occasions and still no response, even though they claim they will call back. Within the hour. Don’t buy from this terrible company.

I bought a Garmin watch from Run4It and…

I bought a Garmin watch from Run4It and had a great experience. They offered the best price I could find anywhere in the UK for a brand new watch.

The delivery was incredibly fast and they even upgraded the shipping at no extra cost, which was a really nice surprise. Excellent service from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Run4It and would happily buy from them again.

Maybury shop was great today

Maybury shop was great today. First time using Run4it. With simple expectations of a pair of trainers for road and trail with gortex being a nice luxury if I could afford it. Sales staff quickly found 2 pairs that would likely fit the bill and let me run them on the treadmill before finding my third and final choice. Well within the budget I had suggested and also gortex. Discounted significant under RRP. Thank you, will use again.
Just test runned my purchase for 6k and their great.

I have serious foot problems, and was helped to find the perfect shoes.

I have a number of serious foot issues, including one bad and one very extreme bunion, which makes shopping for shoes very fraught and uncertain, and there is very rarely much of a choice, as only 2 or 3 companies make shoes which are even remotely possible for me to wear. Today I bit the bullet and took half a day off my work to go into Run4It in Lothian Road. I was lucky enough to be seen by Dom, who was both knowledgeable about the features of the brands they stock, and also very understanding of the foot issues I'm dealing with. In addition, he was patient, encouraging, and kind. We tried 4 different brands in 2 or 3 different sizes each, and I ended up with Hokas, a brand which I had not liked some years ago, but which have gone through a number of design changes since then and ended up feeling supremely comfortable. They were also available in black, which was perfect for me; in the past, I have had to purchase several pairs of shoes which I thought were ugly, solely because they were the only shoes which fit me properly. Throughout this process, Dom was up and down ladders all over the shop, and he was almost as happy as I was when we finally found the right shoes. I had gone into the shop expecting to buy either Brooks or Altra - both of which have been comfortable in the past - and ended up with something entirely different which I'm really delighted with and I am planning to order a second pair next week. Dom's knowledge and attitude made all the difference to me.

The worst shopping experience

The worst shopping experience. Purchased shoes that were faulty, took them back within 30 days and with receipt and the Inverness manager argued that the shoes were fine, so frustrating, he was obstructive and passive aggressive. Took photos of shoes sent them to head off and they acknowledged they were faulty. Complained about manager who had also contacted head office to say I was abusive. I was not abusive, this bloke started argument about shoes and he was wrong.
No apology, no proof of abuse and no acknowledgment that he got it wrong.
My parents, my daughter, my brother and sister in law have been shopping here for years. So sad to be treated like this by one member of staff. Never would I recommend anyone shops there again.

Ordered pair of Alphafly shoes Tuesday…

Ordered pair of Alphafly shoes Tuesday lunch time and arrived 48 hours later. Cheaper than anywhere else I could find them and free postage. Special mention for Donna at customer services who dealt with what turned to be my completely unnecessary concerns about my order very efficiently and with incredible patience.

If you need running shoes go elsewhere if you want them quick

They charge you extra for what they like to call ‘express delivery’ 6 days later and still no sign of shoes and no refund offered. Very poor service i have bought ten pairs of running shoes from this company costing around £1500 and this will be the last, its embarassing charging so much for shoes and not offering next day delivery

Paid extra for express delivery... they just use Royal Snail tracked, nothing express about it... very misleading and not express at all.
