I had a very disappointing experience purchasing directly from RunCam's official website from Italy.
I bought a RunCam 6, and from the very beginning the camera never worked reliably. During recording it randomly shuts down, often leaving incomplete video files. I bought it to use as a bicycle dashcam, so reliability was the main reason for my purchase.
Over several months I followed every troubleshooting step requested by customer support:
tested both Samsung Pro Ultimate 128GB and 256GB microSD cards;
formatted the cards multiple times;
reinstalled the latest firmware (which was already pre-installed when I received the camera);
tested with a fully charged battery;
tested while powered by a latest-generation Anker power bank.
Despite all of this, the camera continued to stop recording or power off unexpectedly, even while riding on normal smooth asphalt roads.
What surprised me the most was being told that the RunCam 6 is not suitable for mounting on a bicycle because vibrations can cause the battery connection to fail. This was very disappointing considering the way many action cameras are commonly used.
In the end, the only solution offered was to send the camera back to China at my own expense for inspection, with reimbursement only if they later decided it was a manufacturing defect. As a customer in Europe, I did not feel adequately protected by the warranty process, especially for a product that had been defective since the beginning.
After months of emails, tests and troubleshooting, I regret both purchasing the RunCam 6 and buying directly from the official RunCam store.
Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this product or the purchasing experience from the official website.
