Great value for money :) staff are friendly, and everything was clean! For sure I will stay there again 👌

I have stayed countless times this year and every time there was no hot water and no one answers my emails to ask for a refund or a solution.

Rubbish hostel. Do not stay here. Dirty toilets, damp smelling rooms, rodent traps are everywhere (they clearly have rodent infestation), curtains (or at least my curtains) did not go all the way around the bed meaning light came in, no toilet roll in toilets on more than one occasion, staff not particularly helpful, get charged for storing luggage and also accessing luggage (if accessing more than once a day). I couldn’t wait to leave the hostel! Holland park area is nice though, so that’s one positive.

It was a great experience. Very clean and comfortable hostel with nice views! they have a great rooftop and it has a perfect location.

The bathroom was disgusting and also a lot of hair in the drain. You have to fix your bed yourself and also take the dirty sheets off before you check out. You can’t put sheets on the duvet so you have to sleep with a thin blanket/sheet on top og you and then the duvet on top of that without something to cover it. I don’t know if it gets cleaned? Also the there is only one big light in the room at not bedlights also.
It is very expensive for at not very good stay. Everything cost money, even the rent og towels.

I stayed in Safestay Pisa. The room was clean, clean bedsheets, the madras and pillow was not bad. Check in and out went quickly. They have a nice area for socializing, both inside and outside. The staff were overall friendly and helpfull. Location is great, easy to access from the airport, trainstation or the city. Since it’s a hostel it lacked a kitchen for common use, also there’s no small lights in the rooms, so when one gets up, everyone gets up. Also it wouldn’t cost a fortune to put up a mirror in the room and not only in the bathroom. Also they are very adament in you not bringing any foods or drinks into the hostel yourself - in the Café and social areas I understand, but a bootle of water you already have should be okay. But all in all I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Felt incredibly unsafe in this hostel, staff were rude and unhelpful, had to deal multiple times with trespassers where the police had to be called three times. The customer service was awful and the hostel will not respond to our complaints. Would never recommend this hostel.

I've stayed in both London Stafestays, Elephant and Castle and Holland Park, and the Gothic in Barcelona. They are very nice hostels, all beds have curtains for privacy and their own outlets and lights. Staff was always polite except for Elephant and Castle. Holland Park's hostel is the best and more modern of the 3 I've been in. In Gothic the room was a bit run down, looked more like a military barrack or hospital than a hostel with dingy tiled floors and chipped paint on the beds, but for less than £20 a night is not that bad and the location is unbeatable, in the heart of the gothic neighbourhood.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the sleeping experience was terrible. A green light that was on the entire night (impossible to turn off or even cover) made it nearly impossible to sleep, the landing light stayed on for far too long every time it was triggered, and the beds were uncomfortable and creaked very loudly every time we turned over.

Bedding’s weren’t ready by check-in time so I had to wait about 30 minutes later to receive one.
Generally, the dormitory was tidy, well-scented, and interestingly, it’s situated in a beautiful location- in the heart of the city, hence, I didn’t have a problem getting around. I however think that the toilets and bathrooms are too small, and there should be more done regarding your in-hotel prices for stuff. (I got a can of water for £1.25, which barely quenched my thirst.)
SafeStay York is a 6/10 for me. It’s not bad but it’s definitely far from great, and I believe more can be done. If the management dim it necessary.

Impossible to reach.
I forgot a valueable item in my bed at Elephant and Castle. The same day, when I realised that I lost my item, I contacted them. I didn't hear from them in days so I tried reaching them in another way. Now, a month after I still haven't heard back from them and didn't get my item back. It is horrible costumer service that they don't even reply. The items will have been found when they changed the sheets, but even if it wasen't they should at least reply

Kensington Hostel Waited 1hr just to check in! Rude staff, dormitory was unclean & toilets/bathroom near our room were out of order Paid for 2 guests/beds & ended up having to share 1 bed as someone was asleep in other bed when we returned to Hostel Charged my card twice! No staff at ‘so called’ 24hr reception when we tried to resolve issues! 26/3/22 sent numerous emails & no reply absolutely nothing from Hostel regarding refund! Beautiful location shame that the accommodation ruined our night!

Paid for 10 nights as a group booking, heaters are not working and you can not reach the management team.
They don't really care about their customers. We are getting the worst service that we've paid for.

I was in Safestay Hostel of Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona and it was a unpleasant experience. I decided to choose this Hostel as I had the experiente of staying in London where I had a great time. Here was almost the opposite. The staff was some very nice, and helpful, but others were rude, unpleasant, unhelpefull, and also there was, one night, a couple of american latino young people who I found in the reception desk, that understood nothing of it and were, when alone, listening to loud music as if the Hostel was a disco. Breakfast bad (no butter but margarina instead, and when I asked for butter the girl told me there was butter, and I told her it was margerine. The answer was.. Well in Spain people dont use butter but olive oil??!!... So I told why then margerine??), juice bad, one quality of bred, also 2 options of thee, and also the use of plastic cuttelery amazed me!! As also the use of card cups.. You should abolish these items ok!! Specially the plastic... And there were things not working properly in the bedroom, like the toilet, the bed lights and so on. One could see the maintenance of the place was very bad!! Even the lift was making very strange noisese when working..Like is would stop at any moment!!The location is good but in reality is far from what is important to see in Barcelona. And more.. The Price was expensive ( Almost 30 E per night, una Hostel of Low Quality..) A Great decepcion. It was the first and last time here!! No more..

J’ai réservé une chambre pour 8 le 3 et 4 avril. A cause des restrictions liées au COVID 19 il nous était impossible de voyager. J’ai envoyer 3 e-mails et appeler plusieurs fois l’auberge de Barcelone aucune réponse. J’ai juste reçu la facture de la chambre....

estuve en Safestay Lisbon dos días. Totalmente recomendable, muy buena ubicación, personal muy amable, recepción 24/7, baños y duchas nuevos y limpios, habitaciones cómodas y en mi caso con vistas estupendas sobre la ciudad, precio muy ajustado y consigna gratuita después del check-out

This pass summer I travel solo to York England for the 6 week internship program. It was my first time leaving America to experience something new. I went to gain work experience and since I was the only one who was a intern, I made new friends, I had the chance to go on walking tours while on my days off from work. Even though this was a non-paid opportunity, I had support from my older sister and my mom who will help by sending me money once every 2 weeks just to make sure I had enough to buy my own food. I love to travel, one of my favorite hobbies.

Staying in Safestay Barcelona Gòthic wasn’t the greatest experience. The receptionist, Adrian, was very rude and kindness wasn’t exciting while he was working. I told him that my bag got stolen and I would like to know if there was any other guests from my country. He did give as much as a blink I my direction and treated my like an annoying guest.
I will recommend you not staying the SafeStay if you like I do appreciate service, kindness and help when you need it.

Staying at Safestay Barcelona Passeig de Gràcia was not a pleasant experience. We paid for the breakfast while booking the room, but when we arrived to SafeStay a receptionist informed us that the breakfast was not included and asked us to pay again. Showing the receptionist the confirmation with extra charges for breakfast did not help either. We submitted a complain online, but it was also a waste of time. Thus, if there is an alternative, it is better to stay at another place
