The staff is so welcoming.I’ve booked the biggest room at scape which is premium en-suite and I am comfortable here so far.There are enough storages.But there is one downside of the room that it’s fully covered with a carpet so it’s a bit dusty.It is pretty close to UCL.

I am staying at Scape during my summer internship. The staff here is amazing- especially Yaya. He was super helpful- he showed me around when I first moved in, answered any questions and helped me feel settled.
Great to see amazing workers who make the experience for students much smoother. The accommodation also has really nice interior design!
The thing which I think would make Scape better is more regular cleaners and better provision of appliances e.g. the was no kettle in my flat kitchen or bin bags. I feel like this is an essential for a student accommodation. Since the flat is big, the kitchen gets messy really quickly even though I never use it since I'm at work all day ( I realise this may just be my flat mates but for the price I pay I wish I could come home to a cleaner kitchen as it feels out of my control that others don't clean up after themselves- it would be nice if scape helped with this)

I would say that Scape Mile End had some ups, but largely was down. I'm not usually one to write a negative review, but I feel the need to this time. This is a sentiment that myself and everyone I have talked to had at this location.

Firstly, I found that the location is quite inconvenient. Being at the far back of Queen Mary University to be quite out of the way. This is not quite the fault of Scape, but for what you pay this is absurd.

Secondly, I found the staff to be generally not the friendliest. You always get the vibe that you're interrupting them when you need help. They aren't social and it is off-putting.

Next, they literally go into your room without telling you. I got home from a long day of work to discover that my window cushion was just MISSING. I had received no warning, no update, nothing. It was super uncomfortable that they felt the liberty to just go into my room without any sort of headsup. I have to hide my valuable belongings because of it. They said they would email me soon to give it back after "cleaning"... it has been three weeks. They ALSO initially took it because it was supposed to be a cushion and not just an incomplete yellow foam block, meaning my room was not properly prepared. Furthermore, the plumbing is bad, so the shower doesn't drain properly, so you are limited to 4-minute showers before the water rises to the door.

The room-entering without notice is not a one-off event btw. They do it monthly AND THEY NEVER TELL YOU. Be prepared to be uncomfortable in your room.

LASTLY, the comforter they give you for bedding is not even a fabric I know. It's just bizarre and stiff.

Those are my only complaints.

I wouldn't care that much if people WEREN'T SPENDING A FORTUNE ON THIS. This is London, the standards should be higher.

Scape is the perfect place for every aspect of a student life. You have many social events available to have a good time and rooms made for quiet studying. Everyone who has an interest in fitness or music can visit the gym and music studio. For lovers of films Scape has a whole cinema. Staff are friendly and the accommodation is close to uni. It has all you need and more.

I am currently staying at Scape Guildford and unfortunately, I have had a very unpleasant experience with a neighbour in room 214 who verbally harassed me multiple times. I reported the issue to the manager, Stephanie Meagher, who said she would speak to the resident. However, even after that, the verbal abuse has continued.

What’s more disappointing is that although I have clear video evidence proving what happened, I did not feel fully supported or protected as a resident. I expected quicker and more decisive action from the manager, Stephanie Meagher, to ensure my safety and peace of mind.

The facilities themselves are good, but no matter how modern a building is, the way management handles serious situations like this makes all the difference.

I sincerely hope the team improves their communication and takes harassment complaints much more seriously in the future.

Stayed here for my whole first year, and felt so homely and had loads of support from the staff and were super friendly whenever I needed something and majority took time to speak to me etc. my room and kitchen was spacious with no problems throughout my first year

Good amenities, facilities, very modern and maintenance staff responds to issues fairly quickly

1. Scape’s studio is quite lovely. It is neat, has a good functional design, decent storage space (wardrobe, under the bed, shelves, box-like storage space)
2. Communal areas are great, with a table tennis access for your breaks
3. Stuff is excellent, very friendly and helpful
4. 10 minutes of walk to the university

1. Room is quite hot in 25C+ and opening the window doesn’t make any draft at all

Scape is an excellent place for students to stay. Everything is great and well maintained year. I had the best stay here.
