The staff of were very helpful and polite nothing was to much trouble.lovely experience.

Customer care was great, helpful and informative but I was disappointed when the store wouldn't honour my armed forces discount, the main reason I went to SCS. I quoted the SCS Web info on the discount and was informed they "don't do that". I'm sure my sofa will be great but certainly made me feel I wouldn't recommend to my colleagues in the Forces Community

Service very good,salespeople very helpful, knowledgeable, answering questions and giving advice.
The period to change mind is only 2 days, this should be extended to at least 7 days as it is a big decision to make on an expensive item. Also material samples should be available so that carpet and accessories can be chosen if required

I like the fact that the sales people weren’t too pushy, the purchase was quick and simple.

We were warmly greeted (and the dog too). After asking if we knew what we were looking for he guided us through options and colours.
We were then offered drinks and left alone to look. When we were ready to purchase we were helped with last minute questions.
He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
We had just come from another sofa retailer who was very pushy and didnt leave us alone to look.
2 very different retailing experiences. We will be back when we need another sofa.

We went to Greyhound Retail Park in Chester to look for a large armchair.
Imogen at SCS was incredibly helpful & led us towards back of shop. There was a brown Italian leather love chair which is a wide armchair. It was ex display, but perfect. My husband sat on it & found it very comfortable indeed. Imogen discounted the chair by another £50 & we had a deal. She helped with a delivery firm & was such a lovely lady.

Imogen was absolutely wonderful. She listened to exactly what we wanted, was patient, knowledgeable and very friendly.

ScS, send a third party engineer who also lie on their reports so as to get ScS off the hook. After 2 and a half years of issues the last visit last week stated that the structural integrity of the sofa was sound, but the foam on the seating is not fit for purpose. I also added my voice comments to the report. But, it seems that the engineer did not mention this in the report as ScS came back and said nothing found. This is disgusting and I am left with no other recourse but to fight this with the ombudsman. This could have been resolved very easily but ScS will not move on it. Please DO NOT buy from ScS as you could end up with rubbish furniture.

I ordered two sofas from ScS Chester where the staff were super friendly and very helpful in September 2025 and paid in full upfront. My estimated delivery was 9th January, but that date passed without a single word from the company. I have had to do all the chasing myself.
​On the 10th, I was promised a 15th January warehouse arrival—nothing happened. On the 16th, I was told the 27th—again, nothing. I called today (27th Jan) only to be told the manager is 'checking' and will 'definitely' call me back. Given the constant lip service and lack of updates, I’m not optimistic. Deeply regret not reading the reviews before paying.
​ There is still a small window of time left for the store to contact me as promised today. I will update this review if they actually follow through.

I was contacted by the Store Manager on 28/01/2026. I have been informed that the goods will arrive at the local warehouse on 29/01/2026, with a scheduled home delivery for Tuesday, 03/02/2026. The manager has provided a verbal assurance that these dates are firm and that no further delays will occur. I am monitoring this closely.

We took delivery of new sofas on 28/10/25 and on 22/01/26 we completed a form to customer services
along with photographs as the leather cushions are creasing badly after each use.
We also completed the section on customer care confirming we had followed the guidance.
Within a few hours we received a no reply nameless email saying the investigation was complete and discounting our claim using section 11.2 of the terms and conditions under negligence.
Furthermore stating following a full investigation this serves as a final response to our claim.
What a disgrace carrying out a subjective desk top investigation and making assumptions about our care without even the courtesy of a phone call to discuss the matter.
We will be returning to the store to discuss this matter with the manager.

From ordering the Sofa, the staff were excellent and very patient with us when deciding on the colour and fabric. The delivery service was excellent too, the communication of knowing when it was coming, we had texts, emails & a phone call, they arrived when they said they would. The delivery men Szymon & Ben were very friendly. They were very careful with our new furniture and not damaging our walls! I would highly recommend ScS.

After several months and several phone calls and visits to store, we finally had our faulty suite replaced with a new one. However, the new one we chose is cheaper than the original one. Scs promised us a refund as soon as the new suite was delivered and the old suite removed. Well that was Delivered on 17th December and they have yet again ignored emails etc.
We had a link to fill in by text after yet again chasing this up to request the refund, the automated reply said that the refund would be in our bank account on 29th December, well that didn't happen!
YOU OWE US A REFUND, WE PAID YOU WHEN WE BOUGHT THE ORIGINAL SUITE OVER £4000.

Wonderful sofa. Really good price compared to similar items in other shops. Customer service was helpful and not pushy at all. We even got an early delivery slot before Christmas. We're really pleased. Great delivery service too.

Kept informed by text regarding delivery times right up until arrival. Guys who came Steve & Michael were efficient, helpful showing us how to work them etc. Very careful bringing the furniture in. They respected our property. The tracking data was also very useful. All in all a very good experience and we are very happy with both Sofas.

Having wandered round several sofa shops we were then blown away by service in SCS, who offered a far superior sofa bed than anywhere else. This is a sofa and a bed as opposed to a to a sofa with a thin mattress. It is a full 17cm deep mattress and has storage for pillows when not in use!
It was delivered when promised, communicated regularly regarding the delivery. Assembled and all packaging removed.
Our son slept on it last night and didn’t want to get out of it this morning.
The only improvement needed: it is an Italian design and therefore UK bedding doesn’t fit - needed an emergency trip to IKEA for fitted sheet! Maybe advise this at point of purchase.
