The manager in the scunthorpe store came and greeted us as we entered the store he was very helpful throughout our visit we did find 2 chairs in the end and explained about all the fabrics and leather we could have chosen for them so we are very pleased we decided to have leather in the end so thank you

The 5 stars is for our interaction with the staff at the Scunthorpe store. Very helpful & knowledge. Great service.

However, I would not give the experience we had on the website anything more than 1 star; there are some real UX issues that should be easy to fix but have been allowed to be out in the wild.

Great from start to finish. Helpful store team, arrived as scheduled. Very helpful and polite delivery team. Sofas are very good quality and well worth the money.

The delivery guys were polite & respectful

The delivery crew were outstanding, polite and respectful. They gave my grandson a large cardboard box and made his day.
Unfortunately after inspecting the new sofa it has a large wrinkle in one of the cushions and has a very dark patch in the material

I ordered my sofa back in April, so a nearly 4 month wait wasn't ideal, but that is par for the course for a handmade sofa I guess

Store guy was brilliant and gave lots of guidance while not being in your face - friendly and chatty too. Tried a little up selling, but not in a pushy way at all and accepted my decision

That being said, the sofa is amazing - the delivery was quick and neat. They definitely took care to bring it in and they showed me exactly how the sofa went together and, just as importantly, comes apart. The delivery guys were friendly, chatty and did a great job - 10 out of 10 for them

Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Definitely.

Having been looking for a while, I checked Poltronesofa online and visited the local store on Saturday 19th July. Having checked what I had looked at online, I returned on the Tuesday and ordered the sofa and chair I had decided to buy. The service was excellent with no pressure to buy, I was left to wander the store to look at the furniture. Having had a good look, the sales lady answered my questions and was very helpful and friendly. The staff on Tuesday, were again very helpful and the purchase was made with ease. Excellent service and would reccomend.

The manager was very helpful and informative about the selection of sofas they had there and what you could change on said sofas, and I never felt pressured to buy when in said store. A very relaxed and enjoyable experience all said staff felt very friendly and helpful

Great service throughout from the store purchase to delivery.
Store staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Not a high pressure experience at all.
Kept informed at every stage and my sofa was delivered 2 hours ahead of schedule on the day after the driver ringing me to confirm the new time was OK for me. Very polite installation guys, respectful of my property and efficient. I found the online delivery tracking very useful, it worked really well.
Now enjoying my lovely new sofa.

Quality and delivery.
Delivery: Only one days notice of intended delivery (fortunately we were in that day). Although the delivery team were polite and amiable they were obviously on a very tight schedule. Unloaded and unpacked boxes at top of drive (after literally throwing them down off the van even though I said they could park van on drive) and carried each piece down the drive uncovered. Entered living room in their outside shoes with no attempt to cover them. Care kit not delivered.
Quality: Fabric had numerous 'snags' in it which we raised a repair request for. Emmiera company visited and advised that the snags were in fact the tails of knots that had 'poked through' during manufacture. Their technician, Simon was fantastic at fixing the faults and reassuring us (and respected our house in taking his shoes off before entering).
Unfortunately we have had to log another service/repair request now as both sofas are extremely uncomfortable to sit on due to, what we believe, are too densely packed foam interiors. We appreciate that new furniture 'gives' after a while but having gone back to the store we purchased them from (Scunthorpe) and retried their sofas (which had only just been displayed and hadn't been sat on very much) only doubled our belief ours are faulty.
We loved the experience in the store, we love the colour and style of the sofas, just a real shame about the comfort. We are now waiting on Poltronesofa to contact us. Further updates to come.
