Please don't buy before seeing the car as delivery will most likely disappoint you.

Whatever you do, however good “the deal”, do not purchase a car from this complete and utter cowboys. Listen to the 100% negative feedback on Trust Pilot!

I purchased a Golf R, travelled from Essex to Manchester to collect only to arrive and be told they have “lost the logbook”.

Whilst I was there demanding them to refund me the £20,000 I had paid, I also caught one of their employees upstairs faking invoices to show me to prove the car was “legit”.

The car couldn’t be taxed, was still in the previous owners name and it took me almost 2 months to get my money back (luckily I had used my banks car finance scheme) so Halifax took the lead on getting the money returned but it was still a long winded, uphill struggle.

Do yourself a favour and don’t put yourself through the stress. This company should be shut down.

I was keen on buying a car from Sedgley and put a deposit down for the car. I was told at the time that it was refundable! The next day, for several reasons, I could not buy the car and was told my refund would be processed. 1 month and several phone calls later they decided it was non refundable and refused to pay me the money. Their terms do say non-refundable but only supply them after you have put money down. Caution!!!!

I saw a car advertised on EBay and Autotrader and arranged to view it. All cars claimed to be HPI clear. I put a deposit on the car and arranged to collect the following week. The night before I was due to collect I performed my own HPI check. I discovered the car had outstanding Hire Purchase finance. Upon contacting Sedgley Group, they claimed not to be aware of this fact and they still were trying to get me to complete the sale and hand over my money.

I believe they knew full well that finance was outstanding and were trying to pass the issue on to me, hiding behind claims that they are a large company and all vehicles are hpi clear, hoping you will not complete your own check etc. I find them to be untrustworthy, buy a car at your own peril. They are in a small unit with no signage or permanent fixtures, they can be gone in 5 minutes flat.

For information, if a car has Hire Purchase finance outstanding and you complete the deal, the car is still legally not yours. The finance company will demand the full payment outstanding from you or repossess the car, irrespective of how much you have paid for the car. Your money is then lost for good.

Currently I have not received my deposit back and will be starting legal proceedings.

BEWARE!!!!
