Small defects noted on the cover of the plastic greenhouse, simple telephone call with a delightful Dawn, followed up with some snaps, and voila a new cover is en-route. Well done Garden Selections

This company is to be highly recommended. There is a huge selection on their website and the ordering was very straightforward. Perhaps more importantly the customer service was exemplary. The items ordered arrived when I was told they would and had been well packed. I shall definitely use Selections again.

I ordered a squirrel proof nut feeder. Our resident squirrel managed to damage it on the first day it was put up in the garden. I contacted the company and a more heavy duty feeder was immediately sent as a replacement. The customer service was fantastic and I’m very pleased with the new feeder.

I bought a Christmas tree skirt on Dec 6th. I paid £4.95 for delivery in 48 hour delivery. 11 days later and no delivery. Tried emailing them but didn’t reply. Thank goodness I paid by PayPal who awarded me a full refund immediately. Bit now too late to order from anywhere else. I chose this company as they make a huge song and dance about their Platinum Customer Service which clearly doesn’t exist.

My wheelie bin screens arrived today but one of them was small. Tried to get a single panel but only sell as double because it would cost too much for them to send a single one!! Lady on phone wasn’t helping at all. When I said she wasn’t being helpful she became defensive and rude. How hard is it to be accommodating and sell a single panel as I’m sure someone like me would buy it. Can’t return because it would cost a fortune. Now I will have to buy 2 panels for just under £50 because it would cost them too much to send a single one. More interested in making money than giving customer service!!!

Excellent customer service from this company. We had a small problem constructing our raised bed (which was entirely our own fault) and the company went above and beyond to sort things out for us.

I had a problem with an item despatched to me and I didn't think I would get any help as it was a while since I received the order and these days customer service is often lacking. On the contrary, Dawn and the team at Garden Selections couldn't have been more helpful and didn't hesitate to sort out the problem at considerable cost and time to themselves. I can't recommend them highly enough. They were delightful to deal with on the phone. In addition the item I purchased - The Roman Garden Obelisk - is a high quality product at a reasonable price. Raceived a solar metal garden ornament purchard from this company thru Not on the High Street as a present. Arrived with no padding in the box and parts of the metal ornament sticking out through holes in the flimsy box. First solar panel didn't work, after sitting in a conservatory in full sun for 3 days, second didn't fit or work either.. again, left in full sun in conservatory for 3 days. Company refused to pay for return, saying it is not faulty, but it only works in the summer!!!
Oh, to add, the replacement solar panel they sent didn't even fit, and their response was to ask me to cut down the stiff plastic casing to make it fit! HSE and QA would have a field day with that!!
Update ...... after a very strongly worded email, a postage label for return was provided. It is just a shame it took that to get it.

Poor choice of courier who tried to deliver to the wrong address, followed by clumsy communication from Garden Selections only after I chased, means 10 days after my goods were dispatched I have nothing except a headache. They have now agreed to send me them again. Will see how it works this time....

Update, have received the goods now having been sent again using a proper delivery service. Upgraded to 3 stars from 2. Initial communication was unhelpful but improved.

I bought a garden arch from Garden Selections several months ago but have only just managed to find a handyman to put it up for me. You can imagine my annoyance when he found that the fittings to hold it together were all too short so no use at all. My man had to go to local DIY store and get suitable replacements. Of course this added to his charges plus he couldn’t get black ones so had to settle for stainless steel instead.
I emailed Selections and explained the issue, expressed my displeasure and asked for their comments.
I was called by a young lady called Dawn who couldn’t have been more helpful. She arranged a £10 refund and supplied a pack of the correct fittings that can be retro fit where possible.
It is such a refreshing change to deal with a person/company who were committed to helping me even though it was many months since I bought the item. In my experience the big DIY stores lose all interest in you once you’ve paid your product, and if anything goes wrong even if it’s their fault you should prepare for a battle that you’re unlikely to win.
Garden Selections will be my go to place for any such items I need in the future, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Bought two bamboo hedgehog houses at very reduced price, twice the price or more elsewhere. They are excellent, look robust and in perfect condition, also very quick delivery. To top a perfect purchase off they were filled with small wicker bird nesting pouches, winter protection for small birds. I cannot rate this company high enough, a delighted customer - thank you very much.

I bought a set of three bird feeders from this company and will not buy from them again. The feeders arrived in a slightly flimsy cardboard box and when I took them out, found that one of them had a top that had not been sprayed properly, but did not regard this as a serious problem. The lids for the feeders all have bayonet fittings; you have to line up the lid with the feeder, press down and turn to either open or close. Unfortunately, the prongs and the bayonet cut outs on the lids did not line up correctly and were difficult to open or close. They are heavy items and with feed inside, would be even heavier. Because the lids did not align properly, they kept coming off and despite them supposedly being squirrel proof, think their contents would have ended up on the floor once one of the critters got hold of it.
I sent a message to the buyer who asked for a photo, but there was nothing to show. No damage, just a bad construction. My account then said that the return request was approved. When I viewed the return label and instructions, they were a little confusing.
‘Instructions from Garden Selections’ ‘Do not return the item to us, no return postage will be refunded to you’. However, the return mailing label on the same pdf was Garden Selections, Dorset and a further paragraph said, ‘please note that the return postage will be added to your refund if the return is a result of our error’, which it was, so I had no concerns. It then said, ‘if you can’t use the label or carrier provided by Garden Selections, you can send your return package using a carrier of your choice. You’ll need to pay for return postage costs’.
This was all a little confusing, so I informed them of what I was doing, used the same couriers they used to deliver and then returned the package. They then refunded the cost, but not the postage, saying that I had not followed the guidelines by sending a photo first, which I didn’t as there was nothing to verify the problem that I could actually take a photo of and I’d already received a ‘return request approved’ message which assured me that all was well.
I asked them why they hadn’t refunded the postage and they said that I should not have returned the package to them and should have followed the instructions, which I said I thought I had as they were difficult to understand.
This was a genuinely confusing set of instructions and I have never had any problem returning items bought through Amazon before. Instead of being understanding and fair they ignored my requests.
The feeders were faulty, I received no apology from them for this, I paid for the items to be returned at my own expense, informed them of what I had done, confirmed that they had received them, and they just walked away from me. It was not until I informed Amazon as to what had happened that the company eventually gave me half of what I paid in postage and even then, they said it was a goodwill gesture, which it was definitely not. I have bought from many great independent companies, a lot of them small operations that provide a good product and good service. How long this one has been going for or will survive is to be seen, but you have been warned.

I bought a lovely arch (via Amazon) which is easy to construct and quite sturdy but a part was missing.
I contacted the company and Dawn immediately sorted it and had the missing piece shipped express so I received it the next day.
