We’re very sorry that your delivery did not go ahead as expected and, in particular, that you were not contacted with an update before the scheduled delivery date. We completely understand how frustrating this would have been, especially when you had planned your build around the expected delivery.

We also apologise that you had to contact us yourself to find out what was happening. We accept that we should have communicated the change to you sooner and appreciate the impact this had on your plans.

We completely understand your disappointment, particularly as your husband had taken time off to assemble the arbour and the replacement panels were unfortunately incorrect on more than one occasion. We’re also sorry that the final panels arrived in a different colour and that you experienced issues with some of the timber being warped.

We’re pleased to hear that you found our after-sales team helpful and that we were able to work with you to resolve the panel issue, but we appreciate that this doesn’t undo the inconvenience and frustration caused along the way.

Your feedback regarding the sizing, colour consistency and quality of the structure is extremely important to us, and we will ensure it is passed on to the relevant teams. We’re very sorry that the arbour did not meet the standard you expected, particularly given the investment involved.

We appreciate your feedback regarding our third-party delivery service. While the delivery was carried out by an external carrier, we fully recognise that, as our customer, you understandably see this as part of the overall service provided by Shire, and we’re sorry that on this occasion it fell short of the standard we aim to provide.

We can see that our team did contact the carrier when you chased the delivery and subsequently worked to arrange an alternative date around your availability. However, we appreciate that this does not make up for the inconvenience caused by the failed delivery.

Your comments regarding our delivery process are valuable, and we will be feeding this back to the relevant team and our delivery partners. Thank you again for your patience and for bringing this to our attention.

We’re very sorry, Kim, for the disappointment and frustration caused by the repeated changes to your delivery date. We completely understand how upsetting this must have been, particularly after placing your order on 2nd July and waiting for the original delivery date of 12th August.

Unfortunately, an error with our booking system allowed an earlier date to be selected than we were able to fulfil, and we sincerely apologise that this resulted in your delivery being moved more than once. We appreciate that this is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand why you feel let down.

We can confirm that your delivery is now scheduled for 24th August, and we sincerely hope that this goes ahead as planned. Thank you for your patience and for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We’re truly sorry that your experience so far has fallen short of expectations.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry that you were unhappy with the shed, however, we do feel it is important to provide some context for anyone reading this. We have not left you without a response or resolution options. When the condition of the shed was first reported, we offered replacement parts for the affected sections or a full return and refund, provided the building remained unassembled and untreated. You subsequently confirmed that you had assembled the shed, meaning the return option we had originally offered could no longer be processed in the same way. You then requested a 50% partial refund, which we explained is not an option we offer, while continuing to offer replacement parts for the affected components. When you provided a list of parts, we asked for photographs of the specific components so that we could assess the reported issues and arrange replacements where appropriate. Rather than proceed with that option, you later advised that you intended to dismantle the shed and return it. Importantly, the shed has not been collected or returned and no refund has been processed. In fact, our most recent correspondence was only in July, when further photographs were provided showing the shed assembled, alongside a continued request for a 50% partial refund. We have therefore not refused to provide a resolution; we have continued to offer options based on the condition and circumstances of the building. We understand that you are disappointed with the product and we are sorry that it did not meet your expectations, but we believe it is important that the review reflects the full history of the correspondence and the options that have actually been offered. We remain willing to deal with the matter through the appropriate resolution process.

We’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the quality of your log cabin and the issues you experienced with the doors.
We understand your frustration, particularly as you purchased the cabin to use as a home office. We acted quickly to arrange an assembly revisit, bringing the appointment forward from the original date, and we can confirm that the revisit was completed and the issue with the doors was corrected.

We’re sorry to hear about the experience you’ve had with your playhouse.

We accept that there were issues with missing parts from the original delivery, and we appreciate the frustration this caused. Our records show that replacement parts were raised and dispatched directly by Shire once the missing items were reported. Unfortunately, one of the DHL consignments was subsequently lost in transit, which caused further delay. Additional parts were also identified as being required and were raised separately.

We also note your comments regarding being advised that the parts would be sent on a Saturday. Our standard remedial parts service does not operate on Saturdays, but as you state that this was specifically advised during a telephone call, we are reviewing the relevant communication rather than making assumptions about what was discussed.

We appreciate that you have had to contact us several times and that the delays have been frustrating, particularly where you had arranged work around the expected deliveries. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and are continuing to work through the outstanding parts with you.
