Hi Ellena,

We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with the delivery timeframe for your summer house.

We understand that an October delivery may not be suitable, particularly when you were expecting delivery sooner. As the item is made to order, delivery dates are dependent on our production lead times, and unfortunately, at the time of your enquiry, the earliest date we could offer was 5th October.

We appreciate that this wasn’t the timeframe you were expecting and apologise for the inconvenience caused. As advised in our correspondence, if the revised delivery date is no longer suitable, your retailer can assist you with cancelling the order.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and, in particular, that you were not informed sooner that the original delivery date could no longer be met. We fully appreciate how frustrating this would have been, especially given the arrangements you had made for installation and time taken off work.

Unfortunately, we experienced an unforeseen production delay which affected your order. While production issues can sometimes affect delivery times, we accept that you should have been contacted as soon as we knew the original date could not be met. We apologise for the lack of communication on this occasion.

We also understand your concern regarding delivery dates advertised on our website. These dates can vary depending on the product, production schedule and availability, and we are continually reviewing our delivery information to ensure the dates shown are as accurate as possible.

We’re sorry that your experience fell short of the service we aim to provide and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention.

Hi Robert,

I just wanted to personally apologise for the experience you had with your delivery and for the way we handled your complaint afterwards.

I am genuinely sorry that the playhouse was left at the side of your property without anyone speaking to you, leaving you to move it yourself in heavy rain. I completely understand why this was so upsetting, particularly given the circumstances you explained to us.

Our deliveries are kerbside and made by one driver, so the driver has discretion to decide where the building can be safely and reasonably left. This is why we cannot guarantee delivery to a specific location, such as a rear garden.

While we cannot agree that the driver acted out of laziness, I do accept that our previous replies focused too much on defending the delivery rather than recognising how difficult the situation was for you.

I am very sorry for that. Your feedback has been taken seriously and will be shared with the relevant team.

Firstly, I’m very sorry for the frustration this has caused and for the previous response regarding the base.

We’ve reviewed the concerns you’ve raised again, particularly regarding the stability and the gaps in the timber. Before we advise further, could you please check that all of the fixtures and fittings are fully secured and tightened as per the instructions?

Could you also send us a short video showing the issues you’ve described, particularly the movement/wobble of the arbour and the areas where the gaps are concerning you? This will allow us to see exactly what is happening in use rather than relying solely on the photographs and will help us determine the best way to rectify this for you.

Apologies again for the inconvenience, and once we receive the video we’ll review this further.

We’re really sorry that your delivery was delayed and, more importantly, that you weren’t informed about it before you had to contact us. We completely understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you had arranged help for the original delivery date.

We’re glad we were able to get a new delivery date arranged for you, but we appreciate that this doesn’t undo the inconvenience caused. Your feedback regarding the lack of communication is completely fair, and we’ll make sure it’s passed on to the relevant team.

Having reviewed the correspondence, we can see that a quote for the replacement glass, beading and doors was provided to you on 30 June, following your enquiry and the information you supplied. We’re really sorry that your delivery was cancelled at such short notice and completely understand your frustration. We appreciate that receiving delivery updates and then being told on the morning that the driver was unable to continue would have been very disappointing, especially when you were expecting your summerhouse that day.

Unfortunately, the driver became unwell while out on the route, and we needed to make sure they could return safely. We also understand your frustration that we weren’t able to provide an alternative delivery date immediately and apologise that this wasn’t communicated more clearly at the time.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope we can get your summerhouse to you as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing your experience and giving us the opportunity to put this right.
